Debbie came to our house when my wife went into labor. She arrived first thing in the morning (we had slept through the night) and began making my wife comfortable. Within an hour or so, Debbie told me my wife felt like she needed to push, so we should consider going to the hospital. Before going, we took a look and saw the baby's head starting to crown. I called 911 but before the paramedics/firefighters had arrived, Debbie and my wife delivered the baby at home. She was calm under pressure and did a great job keeping us calm along with her. While I wouldn't recommend an unplanned home birth, I definitely recommend Debbie as a birth doula.

But most of all she was soothing and buoyant throughout our whole experience with her, creating an atmosphere of calm, confidence and fun...even at 3 o'clock in the morning! Debbie is without a doubt the doula you want, you need, and you won't regret!

Linda was able to come out asap and she very much helped me! We realized he did better on a nipple shield and have been using one the last two weeks. He's been getting stronger and able to breast feed no problem. During our first session, she was able to confirm that my insurance would cover a postpartum Doula. So I get 11 sessions through Kaiser, which has been wonderful! So Linda comes to my house once or twice a week to help me in my recovery and breast-feeding journey. It has been really nice to have the support and the help. She's really been great! We will be working on getting him off the nipple sheilds, hopefully in the next few weeks. But having the help at home has really been great as well as the lactation support. I would definitely recommend calling her and seeing if you were insurance will cover visits from her. Hannah and the breastfeeding support group provided me with an environment that helped me to persist through that tough transition period... my frustrated baby eventually became a champion at the breast (so much so that she weaned herself off of the bottle)! If you are looking for or even considering lactation support, this is the place to be. In addition to breastfeeding support, I've also been through the childbirth education class. It was well done and not prescriptive... it was truly informative, the way I would expect a childbirth education class to be, and supportive of the diverse birth plans people may have.

Would I recommend Brandi Jordan as a sleep consultant? Not unless you're a celebrity or have…read morethousands of dollars to waste. For the average parent, you'll likely spend thousands of dollars only to end up back where you started--with vague, generic advice you could easily find online and some added reassurance. Brandi's approach offers little to no long-term guidance. She works on a day-by-day basis without providing written materials or a structured plan to follow, which makes it nearly impossible to build consistency once the sessions end. It feels like being handed a toolkit for a toy bike when you're trying to fix a kitchen sink, completely mismatched and ultimately unhelpful. Throughout our experience, she asked for detailed information about our child's sleep schedule, feeding patterns, and behaviors, which was time-consuming to document. Yet, those details seemed disregarded, as the feedback almost always boiled down to a generic "you'll have to let the baby cry," delivered in a reassuring but repetitive way. Months later, we're still struggling to get our child to sleep independently. We received no follow-up documents, no lasting framework, and no practical tools to help us move forward. After spending over $1,000, we were left feeling misled, frustrated, and uncertain about what to do next. If you're considering hiring Brandi, I urge you to think carefully. Save your time, energy, and resources. Look for a consultant who offers structured support, written guidance, and consistent follow-through; not someone whose attention is divided elsewhere. Parents deserve more than being treated like another number in the queue. Updated response to Brandi... I actually worked with you in April 2025, and communication stopped soon after the contract period ended. We followed your instructions exactly as outlined. Not every child responds the same way, and sometimes a more individualized approach is necessary, but it became clear you didn't have the time or availability to provide that level of support.

I couldn't even figure out how to hold her to breastfeed, let alone get her to latch. Exhausted, emotional, and panicked, I reached out to Sarah that day. Sarah came to my house the day I got back from the hospital. From that first visit onward, she became such an incredible source of knowledge, encouragement, and reassurance throughout our entire breastfeeding journey. No matter how big or small the concern, she always responded within minutes whenever I had an emergency or needed guidance. Knowing she was only a message away gave me so much confidence during a time that felt incredibly overwhelming. What truly sets Sarah apart is that her support went far beyond breastfeeding. She empowered both me and my husband to feel confident as new parents. She encouraged us to step outside our comfort zone, even helping us build the confidence to take our baby out in public for the first time. What once felt intimidating became manageable because we knew we had her guidance and support. Sarah was there from the very beginning until the end of our breastfeeding journey, cheering us on every step of the way. We were referred to Judy Li, IBCLC by our friends who are also first time parents. We first met via zoom a few weeks before our baby's expected delivery. We were discharged from Huntington on a Thursday and met with Judy the next afternoon. Judy arrived with a scale, PPE, and everything we needed for our in-home consult. The benefits of meeting in the comfort of our home were immense. We asked questions on bottles, nipples, pumps, feeding times, sleep schedules, bottle cleaning, milk storage, etc. Any question we had, Judy had an answer. In addition to questions, we were able to get real time feeding critiques and best practices. As a first time parent, we wondered and worried about every decision, but with Judy's guidance we felt more confident in everything we were doing for our baby. Judy is knowledgeable, personable, and provided great advice in the decisions we were making for our baby. Also, the literal next day, my wife's production milk kicked into high gear! If you are having a baby, schedule some time with Judy Li, IBCLC!!
