This is my first visit here and I have to say that everything was very easy going. From calling to make an appt, within a week, to checking in, was in and out in less than 1/2 hr. I thought it was very cute that you get a beeper that vibrates once it's your turn. Convenient if you decide to take a walk in their boutique. Plus the privacy issue and them saying your name incorrectly is eliminated. The tech was quick and pleasant and the process was painless. See ya next year! read more

Brenda Mayans in the Ultra Sound department at Breastlink Orange detected a small tutor in my breast. During a biopsy it was determined to be malignant. I had a partial mastectomy a year and a half ago. I credit Brenda and thank her for saving my life. read more

A couple of the staff members were kind but my appointment was at 9am, I was told to arrive 20 minutes prior which I did. It is now almost 10:30am! I'm already having anxiety with this symptom I have and this waiting around isn't helping at all. I can't believe how long I've been waiting. I have 4 daughters and it's not easy getting away like this. Some people have lives and responsibilities outside of this. read more

This place leaves a lot to be desired. Original appointment confirmed 3x and then at 4:30pm the day prior to appointment it had to be "rescheduled" without explanation. Fine. Then they tell me please come 30mins prior to your appointment so we can upload the images from the previous tests. I get here at 10 for a 10:30 appointment. At 10:27 they tell me my appointment will be delayed because they still need to upload the files. 11:17 still waiting in a waiting room with people coughing. read more

Attention STEPHEN K . Very shady billing practices at this site. The staff at the front desk wanted to charge me up front for a preventative screening service that is covered at no charge to the patient. I don't believe they are billing specialists and therefore, are ignorant as to how to read or research a policy's coverage to relay the correct information to the patient. Worse yet is that they refuse to call the insurance to clarify. When the insurance representative did try to call them to explain my benefit, the call went straight to voicemail. I have not had a return call from the center. read more

I arrived on time for my Mamogram but was rejected by Breastlink because I am a Healthcare worker and might have been exposed to COVID 19 patients as part of my work. I had no symptoms and have protected myself according to CDC guidelines. I was discriminated against due to my my job as a first responder. Don't go here! read more

I filled out all the questions and forms online hoping that I could just come in and get a mammogram. My appointment was at 10:50am, I arrive at 10:40am just in case. I did not have to fill any additional forms, just had to wait. It is now 11:55am and I am still waiting. I went back to the front desk asking what is going on with my appointment as I've been waiting for an hour and people that have came after me are now going ahead of me. This is ridiculous!!!! It's unacceptable. The lady at the front desk said my appointment was 11:30am which is untrue. Something is going on with the app, another lady had the same issue where she was waiting over an hour as well. Why would I show up an hour early for no reason? I continue to wait and still nobody has come out to say they're behind... I'm just sitting here in a Covid infested room full of people. I will never come back after today and will discourage anyone to try this place. Matter of fact i work in health care and will divert all business to other organizations. read more

Completely disorganized and difficult to navigate. They couldn't keep track of my orders and insurance information. After sending it over 3 times and 2 phone calls later, they finally got it figured out. From there, the radiologist couldn't seem to articulate to my doctor why she changed her mind about my results. For my own safety and piece of mind, I'm am now going elsewhere but they continue to send harassing letters that I need to pursue further testing with them. I called and explained that I want the letters to stop and that I am going elsewhere for further evaluation and treatment. No one seems to know how to get the letters stopped as they have "no record" of sending them. Scary... read more

One year ago my breast became swollen, painful,red, warm to the touch and with nipple discharge. For one whole year, these symptoms would come and go. Dr. John West would order mammograms, Ultrasounds, MRI's at Breastlink at the Orange location. I'm an RN and from the beginning, I told Dr West that I was sure that I had cancer. He assured me that I DIDN'T have cancer because all his scans showed no cancer. After one year, I became my own advocate and asked Dr Dubin, a plastic surgeon in Newport Beach to go into my breast and take biopsies. I had to pay Dr Dubin $6,000 to do the procedure. He took 4 different biopsies from 4 separate areas of my breast and all 4 came back positive for breast cancer. I'm scheduled for a mastectomy next Friday, January 25th at St Joseph's Hospital with Dr Meschell Carpenter! read more

I never write reviews but feel it is important for anyone wanting good breast care. In this center, there was absolutely no talk of preventative medicine, what you can do to avoid any cancer besides fear and mamogram. There are proven things you can do for preventative medicine. Instead of more fear if someone is clear then you can tell them how to protect themselves how to stay healthy. There is absolutely no discussion on a healthy lifestyle, what to do to avoid cancer, how to heal, how to prevent it. If this center really cares for women's health preventative needs to be a topic. Fear as a way to talk to anyone is absolutely wrong and will not produce positive outcomes. There needs to be an up-leveling of awareness around this issue. Fear and stress are the breeding grounds for illness. So, once we can look at this from a more aware and health-oriented perspective we will be able to heal more people. read more

I was referred to Breastlink by a friend and I am so grateful. My first meeting was with Dr West, and I was then referred to Dr. Wade Smith. He has been such a blessing in my life. He shows great care and concern for me and that is so important when you are going through something so devastating like a breast cancer diagnosis. He is a wealth of knowledge and very humble in his delivery. He doesn't rush you out and actually listens to your concerns. He has returned every phone message I have left and I trust him with my life. The staff in his office are very kind and helpful also. Maggie is awesome, Sara, Coco, and Cristina as well! They did not get authorization from my insurance but they told me that they did and now they want $4000 for me even though if they had done their job right my insurance would have paid for it. Also once I got the bill I tried numerous times to talk to someone to try and fix it but I never got a call back and they sent me to collections in the middle of a pandemic. I was referred to Dr. Link by a friend who is a doctor. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I called to schedule an appointment in Newport Beach because it's closer to my house. The lady scheduled me for Orange because she did not have one in Newport Beach until later. My husband and I drove there. We got stuck in traffic on the 5 so I called and told them we would be 10-15 minutes late. I arrived and soon as I walked in the front desk woman said you need to reschedule rudely. Not hello, can I help you. Sorry for your diagnosis. No compassion, actually the opposite. Disrespect. It was 3:15 pm the appointment was for 3:00 pm. I said no I'm not rescheduling, I called and need to see the doctor. When I said I was friends with the doctor who referred us the lady rudely left and went somewhere. The coordinator came in and by this time my husband came in from parking the car. The coordinator said you need to reschedule to next week. My husband said we can't her ( my) Dad is in the ICU dying and we need to fly back to see him. She said no, you still need to reschedule without offering any compassion or feeling what my husband just said. The front desk person who I don't know her name. She was hispanic was smirking and smiling as all of this was being said. My husband could not believe how rude and not flexible this staff was when going through such a difficult time. We got up and said we can find a lot better doctors and staff then you who are flexible and have compassion. Supposedly Dr. link said he did not want to see us and reschedule. Either way, if a doctor and staff is that rude and non flexible during a new diagnosis of breast cancer and my dad dying. To me that's disgusting. If there was a zero rating, that's what I would give them. read more

I have been a patient at Breastlink in Orange for almost 5 years after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. I live in San Luis Obispo county and learning my treatment options here were limited I decided to receive a second opinion from the highly acclaimed Breast Oncologist, Dr. John Link. After doing plenty of research I realized my options were far greater through Breastlink and I made the decision to receive all of my treatments from the Breastlink team of specialists. I still travel nearly 5 hours one-way every six months for follow up appointments and have always been treated with kindness, dignity and professionalism by all members of the Breastlink team. If that were not the case I definitely would NOT make the stressful drive through horrendous Southern California traffic. Having mammograms, diagnostics tests and procedures can be scary and sometimes very painful...and I should know, I've had a stereotactic breast biopsy, three surgeries, interstitial radiation and chemotherapy. Fortunately, the Breastlink team goes above and beyond providing compassionate care. I highly recommend Breastlink for breast care especially if you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being diagnosed with breast cancer. They simply are the best. read more

The day started like so many for me, until the receptionist at the Check-in desk Looked at Me As If I'd Insulted her, when I started complimenting the care & patient services that was provided by their Center! Additionally, the wait time was over 30 minutes, as their Radiology Specialist stated to several of us Women were waiting in the Radiology Patient Holding Area. Plus! Even though the building is big, there are Only 1-2 Ultrasound Examination Rooms. While One of these Ultrasound Exam Rooms Had a Technical/Operator Error/Breakdown. read more

Three stars instead of four stars due to the scheduling. I'm I missing the option that states hit this number for scheduling or does it even exist? The wait for an appointment can be long at time but be prepared to have your pre-authorization and insurance card handy. Try to schedule your appointments early because they do get busy so if you don't enjoy waiting schedule early. I scheduled in the middle of the day and waited for about 20 min before I was taken in for my exam. The technicians have always been very pleasant considering that as a patient we are not 100% comfortable with the procedure itself. They always tell me to hold my breath but they don't need to tell me because as soon as the machine clamps down that"s exactly what I'm doing as I try to think happy thoughts. I've been coming to this location for 10 years now and figured it was time for a review. Thanks Breastlink for the reminders that you send me every year. read more

Staff is friendly and helpful. This is the first time I have been sent upstairs suite 205 from the second I waked into the waiting room I was overwhelmed by the horrible stench. The chairs are old and dirty and have no padding with stains. Not sure why the waiting room is so rundown I'm going to see if my Dr can refer me to a better facility next time. Sitting in the waiting room I can hear the front office girl mowing down a bag of chips. I would think that the establishment would provide a lunch area for employees to. I want to say that the experience I had during the exam was excellent. The staff was professional and friendly. read more

This place needs to change the way their billing department works. They sent me a bill for services I received a year ago! Here is the thing, a year ago when I first had my surgery, I was mentally prepared for the bills coming my way and to pay them. At this point i can't even remember what services they did or if this is just a bogus bill and they just want more money from me because they have the power to do so.....I am so confused by all this. I felt relieved when i paid off all my medical bills (or so I thought) so that I could forget for the second time that I had my breast sliced into. Now I fear for more bills to come considering that I just received one today and second, that I am not a doctor and I have no idea how to be sure what was done on me and what wasn't. If the scars on my breast aren't a reminder of all the fear and stress i went through, this year old LATE bill sure does the trick. Thank you Breastlink of Orange, I get to pop open my anxiety medication (that I was so proud of no longer using) but for this occasion It seems appropriate to start it again. It is a big shame, I had a great experience here and my doctor Nimmi S.Kapoor was wonderful as well as the support staff. Due to how the billing is handled here I no longer can be a patient to this facility. read more

I first meet Valentina Bonev via email in asking a question about a test I needed. She was very helpful and responded quickly. I spoke to her on the phone and when I met her it was like seeing an old friend. She is caring, knowledgeable, and will do the best for you! After 1 1/2 years, I had to come back for more ultrasound. This time I got connected to Elizabeth to make my appointment, and I couldn't be happier. She was very helpful. They didnt have any availability so I made my appointment for the upcoming month and asked Elizabeth to call me if there was any cancellation. Since then she called twice to let me know that there was cancellation, unfortunately I couldn't make on time on both occassions. First time I went here in 2014 I had no issues with them whatsoever. When I went back the following year for the same mammogram, the billings has become a 1.5 year nightmare. I am currently on the phone on hold for 35 mins with their billing department that has sent me to a collection agency for money that I don't owe. They doubled billed my insurance company (same day under different provider names). Of course 1 got rejected and the other was partially paid. I have since paid the balance per their invoice to me, but now all of a sudden I still owe another $600??? I have called back numerous times and spoke to several people. I have forward a copy of my last payment to them. I don't hear back from them in almost a year and now I get a collection notice? I have read several reviews that people have had the same issue as me. Anyone know what I can do to remedy this? read more

Great care once you get there - you can't get anyone on the phone. Once you do, they cannot help you with any records requests. Terrible back office service experienced several times now. When I asked once to talk to a manager they said "there isn't one". Right now I have been on hold 30 min to make a mammography follow up specialty appointment, still waiting. read more

Can anyone help us? My wife had breast cancer a few years ago and we had good insurance named Assurant. This location is where she went for her Chemo and we continue to work with Dr. Smith who is my wife's Oncologist but under another insurance company as Asurrant got out of the health insurance business at the end of 2015. The billing department of Breastlink billed Assurant well past the deadline to get their bills in. Now Breastlink is coming after us for monies past due for close to $10,000. We have and are insured but due to the lack of billing by Breastlink in a timely manner they are asking us to pay for this. My wife and I have left numerous messages over the past year to their billing department and we have never received a return call To discuss these charges. Does someone know a number or email of someone we can talk to as my wife is now in stage 4 kidney failure and the stress of the continued past due invoices is bothering her a lot and this Is 100% the fault of Breastlink. Anything anyone can share would be so appreciated and truly if someone is monitoring this from Breastlink, I would appreciate hearIng from you as you are the guilty party here and are putting my wife through more than she needs to handle right now and should something happen I will hold Breastlink partially responsible. Update to above - I have increase stars to 4 as Breastlink called me back today and apologized for the billing errors and that we owe nothing. I found out my insurance recently added 3D mammogram for free for my annual screening due to women health reform. So I finally switched from Hoag to Breastlink. I just got my results today, everything is fine, I don't need to do any additional work. Unlike Hoag keeps telling me there was a dense, ordered me to do ultrasound and mammogram every 6 months and each time billed me $400 for it. Problem solved! ***I read about other review on their billing, which I didn't receive yet, I will come back to update once I receive it****hopefully there is no surprises read more

I came to this facility two weeks ago with a possible breast cancer recurrence. I had all of the symptoms according to the internet. They were so kind-hearted as they knew that I was scared. Fortunately, I did not have a recurrence as my blood work and scans were clear. I will see Dr. Ein-Gal every year for a checkup. read more

This was my first time to be examined at BreastLink. I'm 66 and have dense breast tissue. When I had my mammo this year I got one of those scary text messages- "We need more pictures." Uh oh... My doc sent me to BreastLink where they could do the 3-D pics and ultrasound. I was nervous, but I was very impressed when I walked into the lobby area and there was a statement on the wall saying that when you were finished with the tests but before you left, someone would tell you the results. You would not have to wait an agonizing series of days before they would tell you if you had cancer or not. Wow. What a concept. The techs were all great and I was told by the young woman doing my ultrasound that I was fine. Keeping patients informed of their prognosis in a timely manner is clearly the humane and compassionate medical protocol and I wish that all institutions would follow suit. read more

I learned about Dr West years ago when I needed a minor surgery. I was told by an excellent doctor that I trusted that Dr West was the one that other doctors would go to, Dr West was the one they would send their family members to see. Years later I drove many hours from my home to take my oldest daughter to him. He's more than worth the drive. Dr West is an excellent surgeon. I feel blessed that we found him. read more
