Went to the oxygen bar this weekend and had a great experience At first I thought all you got to do was breathe in oxygen there but it's a whole lot more . It ends up being a massage plus oxygen therapy . They hook you up to some electrodes on both your upper back and lower back which did a great job in relaxing my muscles. They then used a massage gun which was very relaxing as well What was great was there was no time limit for the massage they let us stay as long as we wanted I left feeling relaxed and energized . This is the sort of thing that in the past I would have said this is a scam I can get my own oxygen for free. I would say that now too. But I also have this other voice in my head, and also in real life, and it's the voice of my wife and this voice says, in a really cute voice, "I want to try it!" And I can't say for sure that the oxygen did anything else besides get delivered to the cells in my body as usual in order to help with the cellular respiration and produce energy for me to walk around and shit. Always wanted to try this and lo & behold, as we are walking back to our hotel from brunch, we pass this oxygen bar. There were only about 8 seats and they were all taken. The 2 ladies working were very friendly and convinced us to give it a try. We only waited a couple of minutes to get a seat. I had a slight hangover and my friend was tired and dragging, so we wanted to see if it would perk us up. You sit down and they give you a new sanitary tube to stick up your nose. Uncomfortable? I think so. They scent it with some lavender. Nice, but after a couple of minutes, your nose starts to run. Blech. But they do provide tissues. While sitting there for the 15 minutes, they use different tools to massage you. My favorite sign, "we are not offering massages, but demonstrating products." haha! Vibrating scalp massager was good (but they only did it to my husband for less than a minute and he was disappointed). The pulsating massager they attach to your back? NO! One of the modes was acupuncture and it felt like someone was stabbing you. Yikes. They also had some other vibrating tool. I didn't buy anything. They also had "energy" shots, but I didn't partake of any of that. So did it work? Yep. My hangover was gone and my friend felt more perky. Was it worth the price? $22/person Nah. For me, having a tube wrapped around your head pumping oxygen into your nose reminded me too much of being in the hospital, so I passed. It's very colorful - the oxygen (for example) pumps through colored waters for both visual effect and to add humidity to the air. They offer a nice service which includes demonstrating all of their products on you. They have vibrating head massagers and back massagers. They have electro-muscle stimulators. They even offer vitamin supplements. So, at the end of the day, I would be remiss to warn you to watch you wallet. As for the experience, the price for the "treatment" was very reasonable, After seeing this, I noticed other oxygen bars in other hotels. All of them had much higher prices for the same service. It was late at night and my wife and I were both feeling a little tired from a long, full day in Vegas. We tried to go to a nearby coffee shop to get a little caffeine "pick-me-up", but it ended up being closed for the night. Within eyesight though was a Breathe Oxygen Bar (2nd floor of the Venetian where all the shops are located). Truth be told, I've always wanted to try one of these oxygen bars, but I've always been a little skeptical of them. Could breathing in their nearly pure oxygen really "boost my energy" as they claim it would?? I don't know, but I thought this would finally be the time to find out. Since both my wife and I were already a little tired (actually yawning), and hadn't had our evening coffee yet, it'd definitely be a good test to see if our energy was truly boosted or we would still be tired afterwards. So we gave it a shot....breathed in their special oxygen, got the massages from their little machines while breathing the oxygen, and the results were....nothing! We were both still tired immediately after. We felt zero effect from the oxygen, and certainly no "boost of energy" as they claimed. We were literally still yawning as we walked away from the oxygen bar, if that tells you anything. The reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the little mini massages you get during the oxygen breathing session were kind of nice (albeit short). Overall, we didn't feel it was worth the nearly $100 we paid for the 2 of us (it's $40/person + tip) for the brief 15 minute session. In the future, I'll stick to breathing free oxygen. read more

We left assuring them we would come back handing them our business card and unfortunately did not return because we had to leave sooner than expected. My experience would have been 5 stars if not for my interaction with the manager on duty. Her general demeanor and way she spoke to her employees made me uncomfortable and not relaxed in a way you should feel when getting a service like this. First, I was never told what the cost was when I first sat down. Then she handed me some sort of "natural" shot and when I asked her what was in it her response was "just drink it". Little did I know it was going to be added to my tab. While I was getting either the back rub or the massagers she was berating her staff and making them rush, while it wasn't even that busy. I was excited to try this. I've often wondered what it's like like to breathe concentrated oxygen. I'm told we normally breathe 20% oxygen, this was 90%. I told the girl at the kiosk that I was very curious about what to expect. She said, " Oh it's totally invigorating and gives you a sense of well being". I was thinking, "cool sounds like "Xtacy", hook me up!" Before shoving the rubber hoses up my nose she suggested I include the energy booster shot for an added $ 5. "What does it do" I asked. "Oh it really enhances the experience" she replied. "Well then Hell yes, five bucks to kick in the Buzz give it to me!" I drank it down, artificial, gross tasting Cinnamon syrup, yuck! I was certain with as nasty as it tasted it must really be effective. Let me see if i can relate to you the feeling I was experiencing. It was like breathing except with tubes up your nose in the middle of a shopping mall with a gross cinnamon flavor in your mouth. I had been had ! Even the massage is bogus. The massage is given with some hand held vibrators which the try to sell you after your "invigorating" transformation. It was such a nice experience and very interesting to say the least. Inhale and exhale, except you really don't have to inhale- just open your mouth and the machines do it all for you. The girls there are super kind and sweet, you get a massage for your back with these vibrating massagers (no... not the dirty kind) and you get a head massage. It's so nice and relaxing. The benefits include helping oxygen flow (since air in Vegas is horrific). They also have shots to help you get over hangovers, jet lags, tiredness etc! Next I was moved to the chairs where I was informed about all the massage gadgets that were tested on me. The head massage was the best. I asked about paying for an extra head massage and was told she would do it at no extra charge. I appreciated the nice lady not over selling me on items I would not need. The only thing that would make this better would be a foot massage at an additional charge. I paid $22 total for a 40 minute experience sounds great to me. I've always wanted to try these little oxygen bar things that I would always pass by walking through malls. I had a hangover from partying too hard the other night, and saw this during my stroll and I had enough free time so it seemed like an appropriate time for me to try it out. It actually worked. I'm not sure if it's because of the placebo effect, but once I put one of those suckers up my nose, after a few minutes, my body took in the oxygen and I wasn't feeling so hungover anymore.
