Restorative class Monday nights !
Jósa G.

The most beautiful yoga studio in town! BR has the best vibe and the sweetest group of dedicated teachers with endless amount of offerings every day of the week! Thanks for being here xoxo

Best yoga teacher Kristi Adam's during Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga + Baby/Babies(pre-crawlers)
Lily Z.

I have attended both prenatal yoga and Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga + Baby/Babies(pre-crawlers) and love them both! The teacher, Kristi Adam's is awesome and places special attention on any areas of focus from which class participants request. Her teaching style is great and easy to follow. Wish I could attend other classes but happy to be able to attend any at all.

I've been coming to this studio for over 5 years, and it's truly become my home away from home. The studio has always been great, but it blossomed when Aviva and Liza took it over in 2020. The space is clean, bright, and filled with beautiful plants. There are lots of props available to modify your practice in whatever way you need (which is encouraged by all teachers). There are classes for everyone - from restorative to vinyasa flow. This is a great studio for beginners and experienced yogis alike. All those years ago, I took my very first yoga class here with no experience and no idea what to expect, and I never left! I've been practicing here at least 5 days per week since then. The instructors are all warm and welcoming, and so are the students - there's none of that clique-y competitive vibe that you sometimes come across at urban yoga studios. Most classes are also available both in-person and online which provides flexibility for students. Regarding the recent review criticizing the studio for stating that the prenatal class is for pregnant "people" rather than pregnant "women" - not everyone who can get pregnant identifies as a woman, and the studio doesn't limit its prenatal classes to those who do. It's pretty obvious that this woman-owned studio has the utmost respect for the bodies and experiences of not only women but ALL genders. The fact that their prenatal class is open to pregnant people of any gender just goes to show how inclusive Breathing Room is. I'm confused as to why this would be a downside for anyone!

We also made an appointment to have Maria come over our home for a home clearing. She's incredibly spiritually attuned to her surroundings and energy. As she walked through some of the rooms in our home, she stated some interesting facts unknown to her and she was spot on. We were speechless. She's such a radiant soul and we felt such peace in her presence. She's professional, warm, personable and truly amazing!

I received an email of upcoming classes offered from Danville Yoga and Wellness and I noticed a class called Sound Healing. I also saw a class called Spirit Circle. I then noticed that they were both led by Maria Haswell. That week I attended both classes! The Sound Healing was a truly amazing experience! I could deeply feel the individual tones resonate within me. The Spirit Circle class I continue to attend on a regular basis over a year and a half later! The support, the guidance, the love and the care that is brought to this tribe as a whole is beyond words! I have been learning so much about myself and my strengths, that this has been a journey that I never knew I would be walking through with such joy a year and a half later. Maria has personally guided me thru healings that I never knew were possible! From meditations where all my ancestors are there cheering me on to actual rituals in her sacred office space of cleansing and healing! This amazing, beautiful Shaman has changed my life! Her powers, readings, encouragement and love are there for you to also receive in your life! Thank you Maria! Thank you for all your help, energy and love to heal on this KrAzY journey of mine! Much love!!!! Carol

I've taken a lot of classes, and Ali's is one of those rare ones that just works…read more First off: it's fun. Not forced fun. Actual, genuine fun. One night she casually asks the class which animals in the animal kingdom are the friendliest... and which ones are the biggest jerks. It turns into a quick, funny group discussion before we even roll out our mats--consider it a warm-up for your personality. But don't be fooled by the lightness. This is a seriously good workout. Ali pushes you in a way that makes you believe you can do the hard stuff. You leave sweaty, accomplished, and genuinely proud of yourself. The classes are: * Challenging but not intimidating * Educational without being preachy * Lighthearted without losing focus The music deserves its own shoutout. Ali clearly curates the playlist every single time. No recycled vibes. Every class feels fresh--and I've been to seven so far. Most importantly, the energy in the room is always positive. People are smiling. Everyone feels welcome. Ali is kind, friendly, and genuinely inclusive, whether it's your first class or your fiftieth. If you're looking for a yoga class that's smart, challenging, not too serious, and consistently good--this is it.

I've been going to Yoga Amansala for the past 2-3 years, first infrequently for a yoga class here…read moreor there until discovering Kay's inferno Pilates class, which quickly became a building block of my fitness journey and for lack of a less corny phrase, legitimately changed my life. I began regularly attending her, and eventually Lauren's classes and after years of battling creeping weight gain and a cycle of under and then overworking at the gym, I finally found a workout program that worked for me. Through their coaching and consistency, I lost 30 lbs, toned up my arms, and legs, and developed visible abs. They helped to correct my form eliminating back and neck pain that had previously plagued me. I found a community of other regular clients in their classes who I now consider to be friends. Unfortunately, Yoga Amansala does not appear to prioritize holding on to good instructors and with Kay gone since October and Lauren now gone I no longer see a reason to continue my monthly unlimited membership. I love Shauna's classes too but she unfortunately teaches at times that are not suitable for folks who have to work during the day. It's a real shame, because the studio space is nice and well maintained. But what the owner doesn't realize it that it's the instructors that made this place special. Without them it's just a heated room .
