My regular doctors were unable to help me with a skin and inflammation issue that I've had for years, and after speaking with Dr. Korza and following her advice I was able to solve the issue. She was able to help me with supplements and nutritional advice almost immediately as opposed to years of multiple doctors not being able to help me. Most recently she prescribed that I do some blood work and it showed that I was one point away from being pre-diabetic and that I had extremely high iron/ferritin. Again, through her help I was able to get within a normal range, so I am no longer in danger of bing pre-diabetic and my iron/ferritin is down to normal levels. I am feeling much better now on a daily basis because of it, and by getting her expert care, I feel like I have avoided a future health issue. The regular health industry would have only treated me after being diabetic and having a damaged liver that was causing health issues. Thankfully because of Dr. Korza, I was able to avoid all of that, and become healthier now and for the future. It's not that I've had a horrible experience with general physicians, I've even seen an internal medicine specialist, but I finally felt properly heard with Dr. Korza. She did a very thorough assessment of my health history and background, listened to my concerns, and ordered a variety of lab tests. For the first time, I had a doctor sit with me for an hour and talk through each lab result, what they meant, and whether or not certain things were issue areas of concern. She was able to point out something I had been concerned about and gave me just a few supplements to address the issue. I've only had two appointments with Dr. Korza and it's been about four months since my first appointment, but I finally feel like I'm in control of my health and on a path to fully understanding my needs. Dr. Korza is very accessible via their online communication system as well, so I appreciate being able to be in touch with her if I have any questions. In person she's just amazing!! Over the course of our time together, Tammy helped me to shift the way I thought about food, promoting simple but effective steps to take after each phone call together. She listened to my concerns and prior frustrations from working with apps and coaches in the past and never once nudged any boundaries I set down. There was no such thing as a stupid question and Tammy made sure I had all the resources, answers, links, and videos I needed to be successful in forming better habits. I really appreciated that she worked with what was functional and accessible for me--on a budget, without a car, limited freezer space, etc. Instead of reminding me to scoop out my morning bagel like prior coaches have, Tammy asked each call what worked for me, what didn't, and what helped me to feel satisfied at each meal. Then we'd find one thing to improve--adding more color to each meal or adding a "sprinkle" like sunflower seeds or olive oil to help a meal reach its full nutritional potential. I also never felt like I was on my own in anything Tammy suggested I try. Gotta make my own broth this week to cook with? Here are 3 brands for tinned fish, a local catch market for seasonal choices, and recipes. I was able to develop sustainable, long-lasting healthy habits by working with Tammy and I find myself continuing to grow with her guidance even though our sessions together are over. After absolutely refusing to put chia seeds in anything for our 15 weeks together, the other day I ate them willingly because I thought "Tammy said these are good for me and I haven't had them yet." (Please note that I am not saying businesses shouldn't be paid and have clear policies, but tere was something about the focus which was "unsettling" to me.) After I got the book and read it, I then wondered why was I paying $1,500 ? I think you have to sign a contract. SO BE THOUGHTFUL BEFORE SIGNING IT !!!!!! And if any of the points I have raised, resonant with you - think whether the benefits outweigh the price tag for them. BTW: Her book is great.
