I have always had an extremely pleasant experience here whether it be for medical or cosmetic reasons. It is a great location to service anyone in Summit County. The medical assistants and providers have always taken great care to my medical concerns and I have always left feeling like every question was answered. Dr DeBord is the Edward Scissorhands of dermatologists but without artistic talent. He couldn't identify basic hyperpigmentation and so coerced me into letting him cut it off. Didn't take into account skin sensitivities or healing ability. Only go here if you don't mind being butchered. read more

TL;DR: They lied to me about pricing and shamelessly overcharged me. I had a small cyst that I wanted removed, so I came to their office to get an understanding of what it would cost. They saw me and charged me $250 just to get the codes to bring to my insurance company (less than a 15 minute visit). I used those codes to get a price from my insurance company; however Breckenridge Dermatology said they'd charge me 2x that price unless I paid them that same day. I agreed to pay right away for the lower price. After speaking with them on the phone 3 times to confirm pricing, I had the procedure. However, afterwards they told me that they changed all of the codes (to more expensive codes) and that they wouldn't honor the lower price. So, after I paid them $250 just to quote me a price on this procedure, it ended up being far over 2x the cost they quoted -- and there was nothing I could do to contest it, since they already had done the procedure. I have always been able to get an appointment within a week. I have been seen in a timely manner, even if I arrived early. I have had cysts and skin tags removed as well as annual skin checks.. all done efficiently and professionally. They accept Medicare and my insurance has covered all procedures. read more

Do not come here for preventative care. They do not provide this and you will be charged an insane amount for an annual skin check.

I started going to them for skin concerns a few years ago. They recommended a screening for skin cancer. I've had a mole on my shin pretty much my whole life. It never caused any concerns before, but the doctor said it should removed because it was pre-cancerous. They numbed my shin, shaved off the spot, stitched it up and sent me on my way. They assured me if I have an scarring they will laser treat it for free. It was quite a few stitches. Anyway long story short, this wound got infected, badly. I was seeing a medic or a doctor for probably up to three months trying to get it to heal. It finally closed and healed, but now I have the most ugly scar on my shin. I called them to schedule laser treatment and they were unhelpful with scheduling and unresponsive. I've given up. There's better places in Summit for your skin needs. read more

This clinic overcharges for skin cancer prevention exams. They have negotiated pricing with insurance companies leaving the patient to pay the majority of their overpriced services. Dr. Blankenship froze three precancerous little lesions off my skin and charged me $933.00. The insurance only paid $217.86!!! This left me to pay $715.14 BUCKS!! Highway robbery! I will never recommend this clinic to anyone. and to boot, when you ask the doc to call you to discuss your concerns she will not call you back. Stay clear of this clinic! read more

If you make an appointment, allow for lots of time. They keep you in the waiting room until we'll after your appointment time, then you wait again in a treatment room. They seem to think their time is more valuable than their customers. read more

I went to Dr. Nern to see about looking less tired and grouchy. I'd had Botox and filler done by a Denver plastic surgeon before and I wasn't all that trilled with the results but I needed to do something. I am so glad I chose Dr. Nern. Her approach was totally different and my results far exceeded my expectations. She took the time to analyze my face and discussed a customized approach with me. Instead of just filling the wrinkles she actually lifted my face a bit which smoothed the wrinkles in a way that looked much more natural. I don't have a frozen face or look bloated in weird areas. She took 5-10 years off my appearance. I will never go anywhere else for Botox and filler. read more

I was told that one of them had a poor bedside manner, Nern. They were right. I came for a consultation but what I got seemed nothing of the sort. She kept saying that I'm overwhelmed with information (which I wasn't cause she didn't really provide me with any) and that we'll discuss the purpose of my initial visit at another time, 2 weeks from this visit. But when I sat down by the lady I have to pay, no future appt was ever brought up. She asked if I want to purchase this or that and we were both dumbfounded that I was clueless to what she was asking and her being surprised that my doctor never brought up any of the products that should have been presented to me. I ended up making another consultation appt with a different dermatology office in the same town - which btw is in Frisco, they're not at all in Breck. They like the fancy association. Their Aspen office is actually in the town outside of Aspen. Their Vail office is not even in Vail. They use this to help them get some credentials. If you're looking for help, Advanced Dermatology provided me with the assistance and most importantly the guidance I was seeking. They're in Frisco too. They recommended I start with a facial to learn my skin and then we go from there. If I could, just the way Breck Derm made me feel, id like to slap her in the face. read more
