Best value and even better service. We visited on Xmas, and while most other bike rental places are close, Breeze Bikes was open. We did not even have a reservation, but they delivered our bikes to us same day. We ordered the bikes at 9, and the bikes were dropped off at 11am. You place an order on their website. They deliver bikes to you. They pick up the bikes after you are done. Its GREAT. While doing all that, they keep constant communication with you via text. He even sent a picture of the bikes, where he left them for me. I was at a resort and he found the right place to leave the bike for me. I did not even have to be there to take receipt of the bike. It was dropped off, locked, and he shared the lock combo with me. No drama, just good service and common sense. Now, where they really excel is their ability to be responsive. I asked them if I can return the bike at 11am the next day, and they texted me back in less than 30 mins and let me know it was OK. That's how good these guys are. We chose Breeze Bike Ride because they were one of the most affordable bike rental companies we found during our visit to Hilton Head Island. The owner gave us an immediate 30% off promotion which brought our bike totals to about $14 each for the day including tax. The rentals are even cheaper if you rent them by the week! A total of 8 bikes and one carrier were delivered in less than one hour to our resort and payment was "a breeze" through their website payment system. The bikes all seemed fairly new and were in good working order. Most of them came with a basket for carrying personal items and all had FAT rugged tires for riding on the beach. A lock is provided for every two bikes. Another awesome feature is the company returns to your resort/hotel to retrieve the bikes at the end of your rental agreement. NOTE: If you've never been to Hilton Head Island (or the east coast) before, the ebb and flow of the tide creates a very compact sand surface nearest to the water. Perfect for riding a bike or even racing a car! *** [ ROUTE ] BIKE RIDING is one of the most common family activities on Hilton Head Island. In years past we've ridden up to 22 miles in the same day by starting at Coligny Beach Park and riding all the way to Skull Creek Boathouse for lunch and back. I came to Hilton Head Island for a week vacation so we decided to get bike rentals from this company. We ordered 4 bikes for 4 days. When we got them one of the four bikes was in bad condition. The handle bars were ripped and the bicycle seat was broken. One other issue was that the seats tend to get jammed when adjusted. Riding them was smooth and they are very easy bikes to control. Great rate! $45 per adult (26) bike for the week. Delivered at a reasonable time Sunday and picked up Saturday. Bikes were in great shape. I did push really hard on the pedal to try to cross the main hwy on Monday and the chain came off as did I. Put the chain back on and realigned the handlebars and was up and riding again. Called them and they came and switched it out just in case quickly. Overall good experience and would recommend them. read more

I have been coming to HHI multiple times a year for 8 years and rent bikes every time we come. This was the first time trying Breeze Bikes because the company we usually use could not accommodate a same day delivery. On Sunday 7-25 at 10:03am I called the company. I was exceptionally pleased with how easily they were able to take my reservation over the phone and schedule a same day delivery. I explained that I was still driving and would arrive at our condo at 4pm. I was told that the bikes, beach chairs, and umbrella would be dropped off before I arrived. I asked if I could give a credit card over the phone and was told that they do not take payment over the phone and would get payment from me later. Although I thought that was odd, the gentleman I was speaking to assured me it was what they did. Upon arrival, our rentals were not delivered. At 6:04pm I called to check on our reservation. The person I spoke with remembered me and stated they didn't deliver the items because they had not been paid for. He told me they could not deliver now until Monday morning. I explained my frustration and that I chose them because they promised a same day delivery & i was planning a 7:30am bike ride. He then promised to do everything possible to have the items delivered by 9:30am at the latest. 9:30 Monday morning came and there was no delivery. I waited until 11:22 to call again for an update. They took my information and called me back moments later and told me they would be delivered in 35 minutes. I explained we had waiTed all morning & that we were now waiting to go to the beach. I told him I really had no reason to believe that they would actually arrive in 35 minutes & that I felt like they were just screwing with me at this point. I became very angry because I could not get a full sentence in without being talked over. It was clear he didn't care whatsoever how inconvenienced we'd been and he kept saying that we didn't have a reservation. I was trying multiple times to say that I DID have a reservation that had been taken over the phone 25hours prior. I was finally told that he would call me back. It is 3:23on and I never received a call back. Do not risk renting from this company if you have a time frame that needs met or if you expect to be treated well. There are many other rental companies on the island that do an amazing job with great customer service. read more
