Mike took good care of us on our recent visit to Hilton head. I had reserved for bikes for me and the boys and they were there waiting for us at our condo when we got there. We were able to go for a bike ride immediately! My oldest son likes a shorter bike and was a little disappointed by the size that I had chose for him. I contacted Mike on the off chance that they might be able to swap out a bike for him. Mike drove over himself shortly after that and made the switch to a smaller bike for him. I do not normally do this with companies. I give them the benefit of doubt, but they were so rude to us about our bike rentals. I want to share with my friends to avoid this bike rental in Hilton Head. They had the wrong address and refused to correct it. In fact, the owner said if I don't just go pick them up where they dropped them off, he will cancel my order. I have no idea where Village place is and don't have a car here. I cancelled our order. My wife and I were recently on Hilton Head Island for a few days and wanted to rent bikes for one day. Our hotel was only a mile and a half from Mike's Bikes and had excellent reviews. I know they will deliver the bikes anywhere on the island but we chose to walk there unannounced. It is a bit hard to find but well worth the effort. Mike and his wife are very friendly and he had the bikes ready for us in a matter of minutes. Mike even offered suggestions on local places to visit and explore. We had the bikes for the day and needed to bring them back by five o'clock. It has been years since we have been on bikes but Hilton Head has no real hills. We even got onto the beach and rode for miles! It was a blast. Early afternoon Mike called and said rather that return the bikes to his place of business and walking back to our hotel, we could just lock them up at the bike rack in front of the hotel and he would pick them up the next morning. This took the stress out of having to get back by five and was much appreciated. I would highly recommend Mike's Bikes to anyone visiting Hilton Head.
