My friend Victoria P. recommended Alexa Rogers' class at Breeze Lagree, so I booked a weekday afternoon class through ClassPass with my cousin. The studio is in a new location near South Coast, in the same space I used to visit for tailoring (located at the tallest part of the complex). The space is really beautiful. The interior design is soft minimalist, and it feels very serene the moment you walk in. Alexa was very bubbly and energetic and gave us a brief intro to the space and mega reformer. Throughout the class, she offered adjustments to our form and checked in on us. My cousin appreciated this as well since we are both beginners to Lagree. The hands-on assistance was encouraging and made us want to come back to improve and incorporate this feedback. I also liked that she had us angle the front platform and carriage for some of the exercises that made the workout more challenging and targeted. Note: the mirror placement in this studio is positioned at the front and back of the room rather than along the side. During this class, we spent a lot of time on the carriage facing sideways, so it was harder to see our form compared to facing the mirrors. Not a big deal and I'm sure it varies from workout to workout. There is plenty of free parking in the plaza. There is also a bathroom inside for changing and cubbies near the entrance to store your belongings.

My abs and arms have never looked better! The studio is small making it easier for instructors to help you with your form. All the instructors I've had are friendly, enthusiastic, and encouraging. Some of the instructors were very friendly and welcoming, but others came across as uninterested and not very approachable. One thing that stood out to me was the lack of posture correction or guidance during class. Even when it seemed like people were struggling, there wasn't much hands-on help from the trainers. In a Pilates class, proper form is really important, so that was disappointing. I really wanted to love this place because the studio itself is nice, but overall the experience didn't meet my expectations.

My instructor was Amy, and she was so friendly and did not make me feel uncomfortable for being a newbie. I also love that it is a class of 4 max. I arrived early, and Amy also took the time to stretch with me beforehand, which was really nice. Overall, I really enjoyed the class! It was both relaxing and engaging at the same time. The class was listed as heated, but the room wasn't heated. There was also a fairly long introduction before class started, and I would have preferred using that time to begin warming up while she gave her announcements. My biggest concern was the amount of hands-on assisting. I don't recall being asked if the class was comfortable with physical adjustments, and at times the corrections felt a bit forceful. I also felt that some alignment cues were presented as one-size-fits-all, when different body types may need different positioning. There was also a comment that if our hips weren't level, it meant one side was "weaker." I understand the point she was trying to make, but the wording felt discouraging and oversimplified, especially in a fitness environment that is usually focused on building confidence and body awareness. I can tell Alejandra is passionate about form and alignment and genuinely wants her clients to move safely. I wanted to share this feedback because I think a little more flexibility in cueing, less hands-on correction, and more time spent moving would create a more positive and inclusive experience. I also encourage her to be mindful of the language she uses when addressing the class, as fitness spaces should feel encouraging and empowering for all.
