This place was so much fun! The slides are long. The wait is between 10 and 15 minutes... But it's so worth it! I especially love the fact that it felt safe. There seemed to be gates and guards everywhere! The bathrooms were spotless. I loved the fact that there was a separate changing room for the ladies. Spots really are first come first served. The beach is basically almost all grass so I noticed a lot of people with massive tent, set ups and large swaths of area that they would claim, lol. As far as the pond goes, it is one of the cleanest and clearest I have ever seen. It's nice that you can bring floats from home, as well as goggles. The food was pretty decent! And was reasonably priced. Make sure you wear shoes or sandals on the deck of the concession stand because it gets really hot! The only reason I took off a star? This is a family establishment with kids running around. I'm the LAST person to be a prude but HOLY COW- I saw so many cheeks, lol...and I was a woman who DJ'd at strip joints for a year... Overall this place WAS amazing,for kids and adults, the water slides and the lake make a perfect combo because if you get bored of the slides you can just hop in the lake! yippee!! my main complaint is that one time we were there my cousin asked for a grilled cheese with a sesame allergy and they gave him bread with sesame, thankfully there was no reaction (thanks benadryl) but the staff didn't really do anything to help after we said there's sesame in it which he's allergic too they just asked if we wanted a refund??? breezy get some better staff!!! he could have an allergic reaction and your not even worried about it!!! anyways this place was great but after this experience we probably wont come back read more

A little overpriced is my big complaint, and I wish fish had a larger beach area. Otherwise though this is a great place to while away a few hours. We made it five! Kids loved the slides and trying the different ones to check out how scary each one was. A great alternative to a big water park- I tbh know they had almost as much fun, but much cheaper and I didn't lose anybody because it's all contained. Bathrooms were clean. They give out free glasses straps for the slides. Snack bar was exactly as you'd expect, which is to say not good but serviceable for the grown ups and tasty for the kids. It does take cash only, but there's an atm there. We got there early- 930- and got a picnic table right by the water. DEFINITELY an early bird gets the wing situation. read more

I actually found this to be a gem! Cool stone made games (corn hole, chess board table or checkers, ping pong table) all outdoors, plus a pavilion, huge playground and the LAKE! The only thing was when I was there they only had porta poddies. read more

I read a random article posted on Facebook by a friend, with a title of "the best waterpark you've probably never heard of". Well, they were right on both accounts and my wife and I are now huge fans. The article got us there but the beauty of BPG will keep us coming back for years. After heading down some windy roads, 20 minutes or so off of the Pike, we finally arrived to an expansive, free parking lot across the street from the park. The road is somewhat busy to cross but nobody is going more than like 15 MPH so it's relatively safe, then the gate is right there so you may only need to lug heavy coolers a few hundred feet in total which is nice. We waited for 3:00 to roll around to get the $15 deal, as did many others it seemed. The line did move quickly and we spotted a nice area in the shade to put down our goodies for the day after getting our wristbands and waterproof stamp. I took a peak at the slides and on a 90 degree, weekend day.....they seemed pretty packed. So we ventured down to the lake just 50 feet or so from where we were sitting. The water was cool at first but certainly not as shocking as the ocean can be in New England. It was so CLEAN, no smell, no litter in the water...I was amazed. The swimming area is fairly large, probably three Olympic sized pools big, and is roped off with plenty of lifeguards. It steeply drops off and gets deep quickly, I never made it out to the ropes to see how deep it was there. You can bring many beach toys, rafts etc into the water here, all perfectly welcomed. We then decided to brave the lines for the waterslides which didn't end up being all that bad, maybe 15 minutes. These aren't going to knock your bathing suit from your waist or anything, they are fairly slow moving but still fun. There are three in total and all a little different, one starts out in a darkened tunnel on a steeper incline and another was lazily standard. Three lines formed at the top and you got to pick so we always decided to go on the one with the shortest queue. The line for the snack shack was long almost the entire day, I was really looking forward to some fried dough but never got to try any. That will be for next time and now I understand how the charcoal grills work. I may go back some day and spend the entire lazy morning and afternoon swimming and cooking. You likely need to get there super early to grab a picnic table on the weekends which also assists in having a place to put a grill. You could probably start up some charcoal on the ground but I didn't see anyone else doing that. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by this place, it's a throwback to simple lake beauty and New England summers. read more

A great alternative to the beach oceans and even better in someways. Has a beautiful atmosphere with a lot of picnic tables, grass and a clear lake to swim in. Snack bar has some good food but the pizza was awful, I'd stay away from that. Great doughboys, ice cream and chicken. The Waterslides are also great fun for kids and the adults who join them. I'd say the price is a bit high. They charge the same for anyone over 4 feet. I don't agree with that but if you have the cash, I'd recommend going. Great for family fun. read more

This place is worth the drive, whatever it is for you-- half because of the gorgeous location, and half because of the staff. Aside from being an absolute hidden gem, it is a wonderful NH alternative if you're Boston locals like us, and want to do something for the day. We went on a 95 degree Sunday, and while the park did end up closing admittance around 1:30, our family coming from New York was able to get in, and boy were they glad, because it was a day from heaven! Even at max capacity the lines were 10 minutes long, and truly it didn't feel miserably full. The staff does an amazing job maintaining it, being helpful in general, and being super friendly while doing so. The staff is generally younger, aside from the manger Keith, who literally runs it like the most well oiled machine, but with a giant, accodmating smile. Aside from the park being staffed to perfection, the general crowd was beyond nice, and notably more so than what you experience in the Boston/cape cod, and it was extremely family oriented. I couldn't recommend more, and with our first trip under our belt, and a few tips in our back pocket (see below), we cannot wait to go back! 1. Bring a wagon, parking can we far (not as a walk in general, but with beach stuff and kiddos) 2. Get there by 11:30am on hot weekend days 3. The food is the only sub par thing (we got pizza, chicken fingers and fries and nobody finished anything), so in hindsight we'd bring more food, BUT it was very reasonably priced. Also cash only. 4. Many people don't know about this little gem in the middle of Massachusetts. I started coming here with my boyfriend when I was a teen. All his family including cousins and their kids, aunts and uncles could always be found in the same area of the park. It was like having an informal family reunion every weekend. When we had our kids, we did the same thing for many years and had wonderful times here. The breeze is constant. I don't understand how it can be so hot everywhere else but here was this constant breeze off the lake that would cool you right down. The water is super clean, the lawn full and soft. Always clean areas where the picnic tables are and the sand is raked every night. The store is great for munchies and ice cream. What a great place to take your family and it's so close to Worcester!!! read more

My parents came out here the other day because they live super close by. Today was the first day of a heat wave, and since we don't have A/C, my parents and I took the boys out for the day so we weren't all sweating to death at home. Totally worth it. The breeze off the lake was all day, to the point that we kind of forgot about the heat wave until we were going home for lunch in my parents' air-conditioned home. We were reminded when we got to the top of the hill to the road, and everyone was in complete disbelief of the temperature difference over such a short distance. Anyway despite only a very small amount of sand, it never seems like any of the 10,000 children are clamoring for sandcastle acreage, the lake water is pleasant and warmish (so that my 19-month-old doesn't refuse to swim). Also the bathroom was clean, which is regrettably rare. The ice cream from the snack bar was a nice end to the day, there are a billion picnic tables that somehow all seem to be in the shade, the grass is comfortable and well-manicured. And the waterslides look fun. When I have a kid old enough to be allowed on, we'll pay the extra money to ride them. Also - totally fantastic to have waterslides so close for only an $18.00 [adult] entry fee. read more

My family has decided to make a trip to Breezy Picnic Grounds a tradition for Independence Day. I had never joined them but decided to do so this year. Really, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We do not go here for the waterslides, just for the beach and the picnic tables along the water. My family lines up about an hour before the place opens in order to claim a good spot. The property, which is right on the lake, has small beach areas where kids can play in the sand and water. The rest of the property is covered with well-maintained grass. Armed with a portable grill, charcoal and lighter fluid, everyone is able to eat, eat, eat all day long. We brought some chairs and blankets and lay out on the grass! (A plus for those of us that don't want to be covered in sand.) The kids were happy playing in the water, on the sand and in the small arcade on the property. The place also offers some food at the snack bar, which is nice. The bathrooms were heavily used this day because of the large number of people there but they were ok as far as cleanliness. I enjoyed picnicking here and think that it is a good place to keep in mind if you are looking for something nice to do with the family. I paid for my $9 adult ticket for the beach with no waterslide access. read more

Loved my experience here! I brought my two-year-old and was a little nervous about bringing him on the waterslides - you never know when he could have a freak-out moment. I made sure he had his lifejacket and he sat on my lap - and he absolutely LOVED the waterslides - I couldn't believe it! He kept begging me for more, more, more - giggling the whole way down - it was so much fun to do that with him! The lake is nice but the sand part, which my son is into (he loves to dig) was kind of small and sloped steeply into the water - with so many kids running around I definitely couldn't just sit back, relax, and watch him play - I had to stand with him so he wouldn't fall (which he still did a few times). That would be my only negative about the place - wish the sandy area was larger and flatter (though he didn't seem to mind!). The large grassy area is lovely - lots of picnic tables, too! We got one easily. And like others have said - the restrooms were very clean! We'll definitely be back! read more

Be very, very careful about visiting this attraction. The owner has a "no refund, no rain check under any conditions whatsoever" policy that can cost you quite a bundle if you happen to show up with the kids on a summer afternoon when the weather might have abruptly turned, which isn't exactly uncommon in this particular corner of Massachusetts during humid summer months. Our visit was cut short by thunderstorms about ten minutes after arrival, after driving an hour and twenty minutes from our home. No rain check - the owner stated he "felt sorry" about our predicament but obviously did not, which simply served to rub the salt in deeper. We won't be returning. This place might be a reasonable bet for locals, but I'd suggest that those coming from farther away be absolutely certain of weather conditions on the date they've chosen and prepared to suck up the loss completely if Mother Nature throws a fastball. read more

Went here this weekened. What a great time. Very, Very clean. From parking to concession stand to arcade was perfect. Everything was close enough that it didn't feel like you were hiking. My 7 year old couldn't get enough of the slides while my 13 year old didn't leave the lake. You can also bring floaties which is awesome. Most places don't allow for that. read more

This place is great! First time going and have already been back 2x. It is a little expensive to get in _ approx $20 PP - but it is really worth it with the waterslides. The grounds are beautiful and kept up. A lot of picnic tables and people set up for the day. No grills are allowed but bring a cooler of cold food items. The water is a little cold but clean. The view of the lake is so beautiful. They have a snack bar that serves deicious food. Soft serve ice cream just as good as Dairy Queen. Hot foods include individual pizza, hot dogs, fries etc. No hamburgers. We had the pizza and fries and both were cooked fresh. This is such a great place to bring the kids of all ages. They have an area with a little water slide for those under 5 that is on the lake. The waterslides are on the other end and there are 3 of them. Kids and grownups alike have a ball going down them. They get right back in line after going down. On a really hot and humid day they do fill up quickly. We got there on such a day around 1:00 and they were at capacity :( . Oh well it is a chance you take if you dont leave earlier. Can't wait to go back next year. A very well run and clean place. read more

We drove out here from Arlington because one of our four year old twins insisted on trying out a water slide. This was considerably cheaper than the New Hampshire and Maine options we looked at (particularly since we went at 3, when prices drop), with clean bathrooms (someone in there regularly tending to them), lovely beach, fun slides, and even on a super hot day very reasonable crowds. (Lines for slides, snacks, and bathrooms were all much quicker than expected). Plus plenty of shade. I'm sold! And the twins both had a blast. read more

This is a pretty small park/beach in Central Mass. There are three water-slides that go into a small pool, and also picnic tables along the wall where the lake starts. You must get here when they first open to claim a picnic table, but there are plenty of spots to set up your blanket on the grassy hill to the right of the slides. The admission is pretty cheap, but more expensive if you're going to use the water-slides. I haven't been on them since I was little, but I CAN remember waiting in line forever, so if that's your thing and you're patient, it could be fun. There is a small snack bar, which sells ice cream, french fries and onion rings and things like that, the prices are decent. They also have grills scattered around the picnic area, so if you want to bring your own stuff to make, that's cool too. I loved going here as a kid, so I'm sure its' great for families. They get an awesome breeze off of the lake, so even on the hottest, most humid day of the summer, it's tolerable. p.s There's also an arcade above the snack bar, I forgot about that! read more

I visited Breeze Picnic Grounds in July of 2011. It was a bit expensive to get in not even including the use of the water slides. The grounds are very clean and neat and you can tell the owners take great pride in their venue. However, I did have the same problem with the sand flea things that another user poster as well. We had two children playing in the sand in front of the water area for hours. The next day both of them woke up with bites all over their body. A trip to the doctor informed us that they had been eaten by those nasty little bugs. The kids were miserable for several days so I don't think we will be back. What a shame as I thought I found a great place to bring my family. read more

If you have an open mind when it comes to summer excursions, this spot is for you. Since the weather forecast called for blazing sun today, we decided to give-it-a-go. Traveling from the Boston area, we arrived early and grabbed a picnic table at the waterfront; plenty of shady trees, a spot for our chairs, a table to each lunch at, a grassy area for my 10 month old (slow clap for no sandy buns), enough sand for my 3 year old (a trip to the beach isn't complete without a sandcastle), and a cool breeze. We were already set-up for a perfect day, then throw in a couple runs down the slippery slides and it's a done deal. The crowd is diverse, but I find no fault in that because who doesn't love a day of grilling, swimming, and family fun? read more

Took the family to Breezy on Labor Day, the last day of the summer season for them. The entire park was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We instantly loved this place and are looking forward to a return in 2013. The water temp was a little chilly but it was also about 77 degrees outside. Loved that my 2 year old could ride the slides with us, and that my 7 year old could go on the slides on his own as much as he wanted. Very attentive lifeguards and safety is a priority here. The lake was clear and clean, the boys loved swimming near the beach. Snack bar was reasonably priced and good quality food. Very happy to be able to patronize a wholesome, family friendly park. Just got home from the Breezy Picnic Grounds. We did the after 3pm admission. After 3pm, 5 and over ( with water slides ) was $15. Its a bit much. There are three water slides of resonable length. The crowds didn't seem to bad after 3pm on a weekday ( and it was a beautiful day ). In addiition, there was a nice lake with a sandy bottom. It was a nice place to swim and the water was quite warm, warmer than one might expect in a lake, and warmer our local pools. There were plenty of picnic tables to put your stuff in, and your welcome to bring in food. We also purchased food from their snack bar. The food seemed good but was a bit pricey. They had the local park fare, hot dogs, french fries, ice cream etc... It was a nice place to go with younger kids. I think older kids would be bored. read more

Pros - it was definitely cooler at the lake and yes, there was a nice breeze. Water slide lines moved fast - probably less than the 10 minute wait. Cons - expensive! $20 per person is a lot! The lake area for swimming was small and crowded. The place was packed with people and, on a week day, tons of campers. Game room is small and a waste of money. Crowds! Get there early of you will be sitting near the bathroom and septic tank. If you want lake swimming, there are cheaper alternatives. If you want water slides, head to a water park for a little more money. The combination of both in one place may be worth it for some but not for us. read more

I took my kids ages 8, 5, and 2 to Breezy for the first time on July 17,2012, We had a blast. The water in the lake was some of the cleanest fresh water that I ever swam in, You could see the bottom which was nice and sandy. The temp of the water was also nice. My boys liked playing in the several sand areas, They have a snack bar. I didn't purchase anything from it but the prices seemed fair. There is plenty of grass to lay down a blanket and plenty of trees offering shade. The waterslides were fun. My kids loved them. The only complaint I have is that is was a busy day. The wait in the lines for the slides was a little long. It was a very hot day back home but there was a nice breeze off the lake. I can see why they named it Breezy. It must have been 10 degrees cooler on the lake than it was in town. As for the grounds, they are neatly kept up with plenty of trash cans located throughout the area. The changing rooms and bathrooms were also kept clean. I found the staff to be attentive, friendly, and helpful. My kids had a blast and asked me on the way home when are we coming back. I'm not sure why I'm reviewing this well after the summer is over, but I've been meaning to do it. We went to Breezy a few months back and it was definitely a hit. We have small kids and the place is laid out in a way that makes it easier than most places to keep the kids entertained and safely within sight. The waterslides are good, but not ridiculously scary. The grass and picnic tables are a bonus, plus you can bring your own food. It's not easy to get there, but I'd say it is worth it. If you are looking for a fun place for the family that won't leave you exhausted, Breezy is a good choice. read more

Great place to go to breakup any summer afternoon, easy parking, fair price and helpful staff. Your allowed to bring in your own coolers and grill to save money, what other water park dose that??? The water is very clean and your able to swim in the lake as well, also extremely clean as it's spring feed. The people that attend this waterside are also very nice and clean, unlike the people at Wallum lake on any given Monday. The price keeps them out because it's pay person not bus load. read more
