Hired them to do a topography survey and tree location. The topography went fine, however trees…read morewere missed. This lead to certain tress not being removed for construction needs. When asked why the trees were not indicated on the survey, it was nothing but excuses. No admittance of wrongdoing/mistakes, rather they tried to say the trees were not big enough to measure in diameter, which was a complete lie. When you screw up, just admit it, don't try to lie your way out of it. Lots of other surveyors to choose from, I would not recommend going with this company.

Hired to do a legal sketch and description of a 270' section of right-of-way under petition to be…read morevacated. Did not require a field visit. Paid $500, got the sketch which was eventually accepted by the county. However, the county required three easements within the right-of-way for various reasons, and provided a diagram of the exact locations and dimensions. The original sketch simply needed to be marked up to reflect the easements. Also not requiring a field visit. Called them and was quoted $450 to do this. After raising some hell about it, they came back with $375, which was their "minimum fee" to do anything. He acted like this was a brand new project, not a simple markup of an existing document they had already created. Talked to the surveyor directly, he was belligerent, unreasonable and uncompromising. Said I was "paying for his signature." He knew I would have to start over with a whole new surveyor and had me by the cojones unless I paid his extortion fee to complete this small task that would have taken a minuscule amount of time. I had actually recommended this surveyor and would have called again for any future needs, but not anymore.

I hired this company to survey my brothers property. He is battling cancer and his new neighbor…read moresaid my brothers fence was on his property. Bedwell came out and did what they call a property survey. The fact is they never dug around to look for the actual marker. My brother heard the employee ask the guy in charge "should I get out and look" The owner or whoever was driving the truck said "no". Meanwhile I paid $300 to get the land surveyed and my brother happened to find the marker. I emailed a photo of the marker to Bedwell who replied in the email and said that was "nothing". So, At that point the new neighbor put his fence up at the location of the bedwell survey line. Now, the twist is that another resident called code enforcement and they came out to find that the marker my brother located is IN FACT the property line marker. The result of this incompetency is now the new neighbors fence is COMPLETELY on my brothers property. This is a fact that is acknowledged by the new neighbor, code enforcement and my brother. The new neighbor needs a permit now and was told to take part of his new fence down. He is trying to leave the fence between my brother's and his property thinking he can say it was already there, but it wasn't. This caused so much stress for my brother who lives alone and gets cancer treatments every month. I trusted Bedwell , but now I see the reviews and should have done my homework before hiring them. Bedwell is NOT the company for you if want a true survey of your property. They don't answer the phone and they are incompetent. I see now they have a 3 star review and I should have looked at their reviews before handing them over $300.

After exchanging an email to confirm what we needed, when we had not heard anything a week later,…read moreI called. I was told by the original person I talked to that everything was written up - on someone's desk waiting to be costed and then I would receive an email soon, today or tomorrow. Nothing happened. A week later I had the same phone call with the same person and reminded them that I had gotten the same answers a week ago. Again they reassured me that I would get an email soon. Nothing happened. And yes I have checked my spam email. So I made a follow-up phone call this week on Monday and reached voice mail, and had no response. So I wrote a follow-up email saying if I had not heard anything by this Wednesday COB I was done with them and would be looking elsewhere. The ridiculous part about this is all Bedwell Leland had to do was communicate - we cannot do the job, it will be a month, etc. instead of radio silence. And even more ridiculous is that another surveyor called me back early on and I did not get a bid from them because I was originally told that Leland Bedwell would get back to me - soon, today, tomorrow. If you are looking for a surveyor that has professional courtesy, my recommendation is to call someone else.
