They sent there guy Geronimo out to my place for a 4 pt. Inspection with the inspector. Not only did he kill the sale of my property but he offered to do work under the table for cash. He gave me his personal number and said he can do it for cash on the weekends. We ended up getting another estimate for half the price. I asked the office person to have him call me and so did the realtors and buyers. We got nothing but a canceled sale from the buyers because the estimate was so high. What a joke this company is. It's takes a long time to build a good reputation but you can destroy it really quick when you have dirt bag employees. read more

I have to chuckle 'Plumbing by Paul'--but our plumber was Bob! My husband and I love convenience, so calling a plumber was one of those tasks we kept putting off. But now, I have to say, I'm so glad we finally did, and especially that it was Bob who came to help. Bob was fantastic. He was incredibly friendly, even winning over our dog and our son right away. He took the time to assess the problem thoroughly, asking the right questions to really understand what needed to be done. Bob then stepped out to write up a quote, walked me through it, and got straight to work. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and dare I say, even pleasant! Do not hire these people!! Terrible experience from start to finish! They caused more harm than they did good! Hired them to replace vanities in bathrooms (among other things) and they literally tore out one of the walls and did not repair it, just put in the new vanity, crooked and all, among several other issues too long to list!! First guy screwed up pipes so bad which caused leaking behind the bathtub faucet and just walked off the job and quit! Second guy had every excuse in the world to not show up and what was quoted as a two day job turned into two weeks! They wanted to charge me extra for fixing the demolition damage THEY caused!! In the end they still caused more damage like to one of the vanities itself, two holes in the wall from knocking something into it, and a ding in my brand new dishwasher!! Stay away from these guys, they DO NOT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR WORK! They just want to do shotty work and get paid for it. Then they call and text you threatening messages if you do not pay them! I would highly recommend Plumbing by Paul to everyone. A week before Christmas our bathroom plumbing went hay wire w multiple leaks and other problems. Even though this was the holiday season, they scheduled the initial appt. for an estimate within a day. Dave the plumber was warm, knowledgeable, thorough, and thoughtful in assessing the problem. Dave returned with Geronimo as soon as they could, which was Christmas Eve and, with a camera, found multiple breaks in the line caused by tree roots and bad work by previous plumbers. They worked long into the afternoon on this holiday to make the bathrooms minimally useable until they can return in the new year. Miguel is the man! I was starting to have some trouble with my hot water heater in between the hurricanes. I was referred to Miguel specifically by a friend. He arrived early, provided a new customer gift, and he was polite and professional. He gave a clear and concise explanation of what was going on with the tank then laid out my options. Ultimately, I decided to have a new hot water heater installed. He was able to run back to the warehouse and conduct the install today! We are relocating our kitchen. The team, Johan, Carlos and Leo were extremely professional and polite. They took pride in their work. they covered walkways and moved outdoor mats, (which I hadn't even considered). Called Plumbing By Paul approximately 9 AM because of a backup in our kitchen sink. The woman I spoke with very nice & informed me she could have a tech at the house in an hour. Shortly thereafter she called to inform me that he was outside. JR was great, cool, calm & collected. I explained to him what I had done & he took it from there. Tyler was the plumber who came out to take care of my problem. He was so personable and I instantly felt at ease. He treated me as if I was his mother and I appreciated that. Explained everything he was going to do and showed me what it would entail. Gave me the price upfront. He had the problem taken care if within an hour. It had to do with a clog in the pipe leading out from my home to the yard. There is no way I could have fixed that. I'm a widow whose hubby used to repair everything. Plumbing by Paul is fast, reliable and experienced. I had multiple clogs in the span of 6 months. I finally had Paul and team out to video the sewer pipe and clean it. In the process, it was noticed the sewer pipe was cracked and had a sag in a section, so sewage was settling in the pipe. It was determined we needed to place the sewer line from the house to the city service. I worked with Paul and team to run through the process, getting scheduled and ensuring a timely fix. We used Plumbing by Paul's services a couple times last year and they were great. We scheduled them to re-plumb our entire house at the end of Dec. 2020. Not only did they not show up but when we called to find out where they were they said Yes we were on the schedule but the plumber we requested was on vacation all week. We rescheduled, asked for the new quote to be emailed but never received it. The plumbers did show up as scheduled but thought they were only doing 1 days work and were unclear on the instructions. We had not been sent a new quote but they had a paper copy with edits in pen and it was unclear. We weren't comfortable with having them do work with this marked up quote and asked for the owner to call us. Fast forward we were rescheduled AGAIN for March 30th. We called them to confirm the day before because they advised the water would be turned off so we had booked a local hotel. We were advised that the quote is no longer valid so they would still be coming out the next day ONLY to do an assessment for a new quote. The quotes states it's valid for 90 days. The quote is from 1.6.21 and March 30th is under 90 days. They said they would get to the bottom of this and call us back. They never called back and did not come to our house on 3.30.21 as scheduled. I don't know what happened to the Plumbing by Paul company that we used last year, but things have gone down hill in this company. read more

I am a local Realtor in St Pete and called Plumbing by Paul after hearing raving reviews about the Company. Our toilet had leaked and we had Tyler out, he did not know what the problem was so he let us know he was going to try a few things; however, he began replacing brand new interior items within the tank and nothing helped. He got up on the roof and blew out the lines, told us it would fix our issue for now; however, we would need to replace all of our pipes because of their age, and the hissing noise we were hearing, whatever he did only made the issue worse, and we called again, had Tyler and a colleague out again. Here he goes, changing out yet another brand new item in the tank (he explained that this is protocol because they order them by cases and they are often not the greatest and need to be replaced often) I mean, every two weeks? The two of them continued talking about how we need to make sure we write a review, I was asking Questions that neither of them could answer, and truly was curious why they would be bringing up a Review, again, on their second visit, without being able to fix our issue. He did mention again that it was likely a decay in our aging pipes, and he will be sending us a quote for a full repipe of our Home. A hissing noise remained and I ran to the truck and asked when that would stop. They let me know that it would go away once the bowl was full. Here we are again, an hour later and the hiss is absurd, I call in to the office and we now need a THIRD visit. Why would they have left prior to allowing the bowl to fill and making sure our issue was resolved? Again, this was your second time out. I reluctantly schedule a THIRD service call with Missy in the office, she lets us know the Partner was going to come out and we set the time for 11:30, I left work, and was ready, well at 11:34 she let me know that he was on the way, but stuck in a little traffic and would be a few more minutes. 12:19, she lets me know he will be there in 15 minutes. At 12:40 (( one hour and 10 minutes later )) and at this point, I cannot return to work, he arrives and says that He let the office know he was on another job, he was not going to be to our home until 12:30 and he doesn't understand why Missy would have said otherwise. I was beyond devastated that on our THIRD visit, we are now losing money from work, and Missy is blatantly lying on text message to us. We have requested a call from the Owner on Thursday June 2 at 12:34 pm, I have followed up twice since then for a refund and a call from the Owner, and at this point I am completely out of ideas and finally frustrated enough to publish my Review. I work in the Community every single day representing families both buying and selling homes. I truly hold my Vendors so near and dear to me and my families that I assist and this has been a truly heartbreaking display of just how down hill our business' are becoming. Once a trusted, professional business who we would never hesitate to refer is blacklisted from my, as well as my Brokerage vendor list. I would love to make this right, but I have not been able to get in touch with the Owner in 7 days, to the hour, to save my life. I request my refund in full, no longer need a telephone call, but hope that anyone using this company within the Community has a better experience than we have had. We have since had cameras down our pipes and have ABSOLUTELY no reason to repipe our Home, as they found there to be no leak, and no issue. read more

In February 2023, I contacted Plumbing by Paul, LLC to obtain a CCTV Video Inspection to give to the county who was offering rebates for inspection and report. They performed the inspection and issued a report on February 9. When I submitted it to the county, I also needed a VIDEO of the inspection. I called and they sent someone with the RECORDING video equipment on February 21. I have contacted them 3 times on the telephone and left messages with no return call and I have emailed them several times with no response. Additionally, I have written the owner of the company and again....no reply. I cannot attest to the quality of their other services, but I would not use them again. BTW, the report of the first and second inspections yielded different results.... read more

I don't recommend Plumbing by Paul for several reasons. The customer service is terrible. Specially the two girls who answer the phone. They are really bad at following up with things and returning calls. My experience with them was that once they had payment, they pretty much forget about you. The two girls who answer the phone will tell you something like "We will call you back later today" and that will not occur but the first thing they ask once the job is done is that need payment without even giving you a report of what they've done or found. read more

It was not a huge job but he treated it like it was a very important one. The price was very fair. I am grateful for the amazing service. I would not recommend the Plumber - Plumbing By Paul to do any Plumbing, Toilet Repair, Water Heater Installation, Toilet Installation, or any Plumbing related activities. I had them come out to a property to get a list of items completed and instead of doing anything that was listed in the items to be completed they decided to pull the toilet and complete a main line service which was not requested and preceded to send me a bill for $425 for the main line stoppage and then an access fee of $150. This was not the work that was requested by the company, this work was not authorized, but was the only thing that was completed. Plumbing By Paul did not complete any of the items that were actually requested by their company and insisted that the bill be paid or they would lien the property. I feel this is a horrible way to do business and just want everyone to be wary of companies that operate dishonestly. read more

When using the tub shower, after pulling up the diverter there seemed to be more water coming from the spout then I thought there should be, which affected the shower pressure as well. Also, I needed the tub drain stopper and overflow plate replaced. I reached out through "Next Door" for recommendations for a plumber. Plumbing by Paul was one of the most recommended. I called and made an appointment. The office staff who answered the phone couldn't be more pleasant and friendly. Jay was the plumber who came out to take care of the issues. I asked to have my 50 year old pipes scrapped. employee came out and said $361. I explained what I wanted again. He then raised price to $671 because I have a tile roof. He went on roof and came down in a couple of minutes. After I paid him the plumber tried to tell me I needed pipes scrapped which is what I ordered and had discussed with him. When I asked him what I paid for he ran off. Management won't take or return my call. Totally unethical. Avoid like the plaque. read more

I spoke to two ladies on the phone, both of whom were extremely nice. I was given a 2 hour window, which was nice, and received a courtesy call when they were on the way. Austin was super nice and very informative. He gave a lot of info, but never once made me feel stupid. He knew his stuff and pretty much solved the problem. This company was hired by my apartment complex (Beacon430) to address a sewer smell in my apartment. The sewer gas was immediately noticed by the plumbing technician, trap vent replaced, lines flushed, etc. the technician notified me of the steps taken and verified that the smell was from sewer gas (3 mentions of sewer gas). When I notified my apartment (because I was experiencing dizziness and headaches) they told me that it wasn't sewer gas and to call the plumbing company to straighten it out. The plumbing company said no one spoke with me. The receptionist at Plumbing by Paul stated "our technicians know not to say sewer gas." I then send videos of the technician wearing a plumbing by Paul shirt stating it was sewer gas three times because he stepped in front of my ring camera. Called the plumbing company today and they will neither confirm or deny there was sewer gas and told me they cannot discuss the matter with me. I asked the receptionist if this was the right thing to do as I am still experiencing dizziness, and she stated "this is how I have been told to handle this, I'm sorry you feel this way." When a company won't do the right thing when health and safety is a concern... RED FLAG. read more

I had to call Plumbing By Paul because I wanted to switch out an old vinyl supply line to my kitchen sink. Something that would've been easy, but when I turned off both the hot and cold valves the began to leak profusely. At that point I shut off the water supply and called Plumbing By Paul. They did some work for me a couple of weeks ago, replacing and adding an additional hose bib to our back yard. I would have to say that scheduling them was a breeze, they showed up on time, and were actually early. When they showed up today for my water leak, they actually repaired a few minor issues unrelated to the leak. In my opinion they definitely went above and beyond, and at a very reasonable price. I first got the referral to Plumbing by Paul. I used them in October of 2020. They were great! Did quality work, quick response, and reasonably priced. I continued to refer them to others in the group. Now it is 2022 and I need a plumber, so I called Plumbing by Paul and it was a whole different experience. Advertised as a 24/7 company. Called 3 times on the weekend finally reached them Monday 01/25/22, they came out at 4p, I requested 2 toilets be repaired, wax seals and guts, run a snake between the 2 toilets, and replace the guts of the tanks. I had 2 kits which I showed him. He gave me an estimate of 869.00, which I thought was High. He rebuilt the flange replaced the wax seal and the guts in one toilet and replaced the water valve on the other one and ran the snake between them. Approximately 1.5 hours. I noticed the 2ndpackage of guts was not used and immediately called the office. No answer. Then I noticed the same toilet was not sealed and rocking. I followed up the phone call with an email. Unfortunately, it only gets worse from here. After, numerous conversations, he came back out and wanted to charge an extra 263.00 to replace the guts. I told him No Thank you and called the office again. After, 7 emails, 5 texts, too many phone calls, and 2 missed appointments, and 3 weeks. 01/25-02/18 He comes out again today,02/18 to tell me that the original estimate was for only 1 toilet. I can honestly tell you that I would never have paid 869.00 to have 1 toilet - 1 snake done when I supplied the parts. I would have paid the service fee and sent him on his way. It appears as if all the business thrown his way from ILSP has hurt their ability as a company and their prices sky rocketed while service got worse. read more

If it was possible to leave 0 stars I would. I called Plumbing by Paul to come look at a drain/backup problem at a Client's house. She had, (and still has at times) a severe backup situation with toilets & shower drains. They recommended a standard service consisting of drain camera, snaking and hydro jet flush of the main line, as well as installation of a cleanout, which was all agreed upon after I asked if they were 100% sure that was the problem. $1560.00 later it turns out it was not the problem, not only that, but the installation of the cleanout was done improperly causing even more problems. When I called to say there was still an issue, they sent 2 guys back out and cut concrete up in the master bathroom, found the actual problem, (which was a shoddy plumbing job done by the prior owners of the house). PbP then handed my client another bill for $600.00 for cutting the concrete . I confronted them at that time about the original bill that had already been paid, at which time Nick the "Service Manager" and his helper started to get very upset to the point where my Client and myself had to very sternly ask them to leave the property. My Client ended up paying the $600.00 in good faith that they would return and yes, still has a 2' x 2' hole cut in the slab of her Master Bathroom, along with a poorly installed cleanout with a main line that still clogs. She has even had to call another drain cleaner for service since PbP has been there. They were supposed to call back 6 weeks ago, no calls.... Don't make a $2160.00 mistake..., I recommend calling anyone but these guys. read more
