Ive been going to Brenman's for years - even before Brenmans - when their pre merger butcher was on Avenue X off Coney. The entire crew there is top notch - they know their meat - and their just flat out great guys! This is my favorite local butcher shop. The biggest problem I have is the employees that make the sandwiches do NOT wear gloves and cut all meats on the same slicer and twice now they didn't wear gloves which is off-putting and a little gross. I normally come here for butcher cuts and will continue to do so, but sandwiches are out of the question. read more

I usually Go in there for the buttersteak , i went in a couple a months ago and there was an older man who didn't work there smoking a cigarette behind the counter. I decided to walk out and not order anything. Today I did a curbside pick up because your not allowed to go in cause of the virus. The lady meets me at the door and hands me my food WHILE SMOKING A CIGARETTE, i thought to myself no way maybe it's a e cigarette. But for her to bring me my debt card with THE CIGARETTE IN HER HAND. Awesome neighborhood butcher shop. Huge selection, accommodating staff. They cut meats in front of you, do special orders, they deliver too. I even order from them and send to my mom's house because they have some prepared foods as well (great potato crochets, marinated cutlets, etc.).
