THESE GUYS ROCK. The meat quality is so good. I'm jamaican and finally found oxtail and liver for a really good price and without all that fat the grocery store meat has. They were super kind and had great customer service. They even keep a few bones in the freezer for dogs (my dog really appreciated that!!). My preferred meat market in the neighborhood. They are reliable. Today I went for beef bacon ($7.99/lb) primarily. The prices are still pretty much the same as before quarantine. And they are keeping the regular hours as before quarantine 8-7pm on the weekdays. I think they open at 8am on the weekend but close earlier. Lamb chops were $4.99/lb. I should've purchased. I do understand that we are in a covid crisis but when you witness a meat clerk removing chicken thighs from a plastic bag with his hands uncover that raise a problem for me and anyone else that enters this store. Aside from the library a meat market is like an amusement park for me. While they are busy the gentlemen inside work quickly, they are very patient and helpful. They have plenty of meat plans and also serve seasonings and sides and Staples like rice and beans so basically you can get a whole meal just from shopping here. read more

I have witnessed the staff come in extra early and leave late extending the store hours to accommodate customers. Social distancing is strictly enforced and Masks are provided to customers who need it. This meat market has helped lighten the load and make people feel safe during these uncertain times. The Service provided by the workers and the cleanliness of the environment makes it my number one choice in a place to shop now more than ever. So many other businesses put up signs about masks and social distancing but it is not enforced. Broadway Meats has helped the community by providing masks to customers who need it. That speaks volumes. It may be costly to the business but the customer's safety is a priority and it clearly shows. I highly recommend this meat market. read more

This seems to be one of the few and perhaps the only place to get consistently fresh meats in the Bushwick/Bed-Stuy/Ocean Hill area. I usually shop at Staubitz Market in Cobble Hill but I have now tried this place twice with decent results. I came in with complaints about the supermarkets and other places in town and they agreed but did not really elaborate on what makes their business different or special. It is entirely possible that they source their meats from the same places but they just have the customer volume to keep things moving faster than the supermarkets, etc. You will find many hispanic and other cultured cuts of meat here (pigs feet, chicken feet) and cheaper cuts such as chuck steak, etc. The prices are very good especially on the ground beef and slab bacon, both of which I recommend. They are also good about rounding down their prices at the "register" to your benefit. Again, good prices. This place is not in the same league as a place like Staubitz but it is a good local choice for basic cuts that aren't already spoiled by the time you get it home. Thank you. read more

I travel to Brooklyn not just for the Fresh Selections of Meats, the Atomsphere and the conscientious Cleanliness of the workers and store, Grocery items, Fresh Dairy, Great Reasonable Prices, and Friendly Amazing Staff; but for everything I just mentioned. I've been coming here since my kids were babies, they are both 20 and 25yrs old. This Market treats you so well, there is never a long wait, you're greeted as soon as you walk in, they cut and prepare your Meats, or Meat Packages just the way you request it, and/or just the way you like it. I've known these guys since they used to be on weirfeild st.they always had a good choice of meats.I don't shop anywhere else for my meats I come to broadway meats. these are older guy's very respectful very nice with people. and the cuts of the chuck steaks is awesome. its not like these supermarkets now that sell a very thin cut of steak. these guy's steaks are 1" thick and the beef for stew is very thick too not that thin skimpy piece of meat that these supermarkets sell.
