The absolute worst customer service ever!!! I recently purchased not (1) but (2) brand new Yamaha trail bikes from them (2) weeks ago. I purchased a Yamaha 110 and also a Yamaha 125. We've got no issues with the 110, but the 125 will not shift from (1st to 2nd) gear. I called them and reported the issue. They wanted me to "Bring it back". I don't have a trailer. I paid them to deliver the motorcycles. I was looking at a 2018 Indian Cheiftain which is $35K + they've lost that sale!! read more

About two years ago, I took my Kawasaki multi-carb bike in to get some work. It was running on only three of four cylinders after winter storage. They called me in a couple weeks and said it was finished. As I was about to ride away, the young guy, service manager I suppose, said, the bike might use a bit more gas. I asked why, he said we richened up the jets and raised the needles. He also said it was a very good running bike. Indeed it ran well but used alot of gas on the way home, not just a little but a lot. the next day, it started right up, but not with usual choke applied. it would only start with no choke. It was close to the end of the riding season, so drained the bowls, put it away. next spring, it started up after sitting all winter without any choke again but soon fouled a plug, then another a few weeks later. After talking to the dealer, the service manager says I wasn't probably riding it enough, not hard enough, etc. I showed him a carboned-up plug out of my pocket and manager said maybe the needles need to be lowered. Long story, short, didnt want to trust the bike to them again, sent the carbs to someone who specializes in these carbs, he found the carbs jetted way too rich and needles way too high for a stock bike with only a bolt on muffler. A very expensive mistake for me, paying twice for carb service. read more

I've left a message a couple of different times and they've never given me an answer.

The first quad I looked at was 2016 power steering and a used Polaris, I was negotiating the price and tried several times to call to say I would take it as John had promised to hold it for me for 48 hours. When I went to pay for it, it was gone, he sold it. I should have left then as that in itself told the sorry. He showed me the 2015 Polaris, said it had been looked at by the service department and it was good to go and it too had power steering. I purchased the 2015 Polaris quad runner from Brenny's in Bettendorf. It was a used model with a plow. First night I ran it, it stopped, would not start, plow was down, could not get the plow off, even though it was supposed to be easy to remove per John Brenny. John did come to my house, he could not get the plow off either. I had to pay for them to come get it to fix it. I do not recall what the problem was, but after 300+ dollars on top of the pick up fee, it was supposedly fixed. FYI, I had a quad runner prior to this one with a plow. I said to John, I wanted my money back, that I did not want this quad runner, he said they couldn't take it back, but they could sell it for me, but of course I would not get what I paid for it. When I took John up on that option, he said they could not sell the quad from their lot that I would have to sell it. I asked to speak to the owner, they forwarded my call to Mark Brenny the owner, I left a message and never heard from him. After several trips to Brenny's about issue with the quad, and yes I know, I should not have returned there, but just wasn't sure were else to go, so at my last visit there, quad wouldn't start, plow would not come off, I asked to speak to the owner again, they forwarded the call to Mark. I tried to explain the entire situation to him, he told me we are not Walmart. He asked what I wanted, I told him I wanted him to back his product he sold, when he said he would not do that, I told him I would post on Facebook my experience. He said I was threatening him. I said for telling the truth of my experience. I said I thought it would be fair to replace the plow as there seems to be only one person that can get the plow to unlatch from the quad, that all of the technicians could not remove, John could not remove and I could not remove it. He said he could replace it with a new one for the price of a new one. I called the service department to let them know this would be my last visit there as they do not back the product. I would never recommend anyone to purchase a product from Brenny's. read more

Bottom Line: Take your business elsewhere, especially if you are a new rider. I went into Brenny's with the intent of purchasing one of three bikes that I had been looking at on their website. As a brand new rider, I am unsure of which style of bike will fit me and my riding needs best so I had a few styles in mind. After looking around for several minutes, the typical salesman approach happened. I had been in the store one other time prior to getting the motorcycle endorsement on my license and it was same salesman (Jeff Wilson) that approached. I explained that I wasn't sure of the style I wanted but spoke to him about the few I was interested in. When I asked about test driving one, he became very rude in his tone and asked if that is the one I was interested in. I explained again that I wasn't sure as a had a few particular bikes in mind. Still incredibly rude in tone, he said we can't just let you joyride if you aren't serious about getting that one. To which, I let him know that it is not a problem, I would take my money elsewhere. He responded, no let's take that bike for a test drive as I was walking out. read more

I've been doing business here since I moved to the quad cities. Had them do a rebuild on my dirtbike and have bought parts from them multiple times. Great customer service and the staff are very helpful. I'll be buying my first street bike from Brenny's. read more

Just want to say before I write this review I have been a mechanic for 7 years and I know how a good running dealership should run. My first visit with them was not a good experience. Went there the first time about 4 years ago with my four wheeler and took it back three times (each time they said it was fixed.. which it wasn't) and each time after paying 110 dollars the very last visit with the quad they told me it needed the factory stator which was a 600 part and any aftermarket one would not work. It sounded fishy to me because I was pretty sure that four wheelers will not run with a bad stator and mine did run. So I did my own research and found a 125 dollar aftermarket stator that had loads of good reviews and installed myself. Quad ran exactly the same with the exact problems I was having, so luckily I didn't take it back and pay 600 dollars in parts and another 200 in labor for them to still not figure it out. I recently bought a bike from them (like less then a month ago) i was told it was gone through and it ran great, bought it, took it home, and found that it didn't run right, two bolts that hold the fender to the right side of the fork were missing and the oil pressure wire wasn't installed. The bolts and the wire was not that big of a deal. I just wanted it to run right. THEY WERE EXTREEEEMELY UNDERSTANDING WHICH IS WHY I GAVE THEM FOUR STARS. After taking the bike back to them three times they finally got it running right. Then on the way home it started leaking oil which granted I'm not sure if that was there fault. I took the bike back and they let me test ride another bike. I found a few things I wanted fixed and they fixed it free of charge and gave me the other bike. Despite all the bad luck that the dealer and I had they still wanted to make me happy and THEY CERTAINLY DID. I rode the bike to St. Louis and back without a hitch. OVERALL THE SALES TEAM IS AMAZING AND THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT THE COMPANY AND THEIR CUSTOMERS. THEIR PARTS DEPARTMENT I WOULD SAY IS ALSO HELPFUL WHEN THEY ARENT SWAMPED (which is the same with any shop really). And now for their mechanics........ I would say they are good at getting jobs done the right way and for a decent price. But in my experience they need to work on there diagnosing skills and catching problems on there trade ins. I've heard their mechanics say several times "well ya know it's just trial and error" which in my shop you would be written up for saying that to a customer because "trial and error" is a more comforting way of saying we r throwing parts and labor at it blindly until it runs right. A good mechanic can diagnose it, fix it, and ship it the first time. But once again when ever they do have problems they do there damnedest to still make the customer happy. I would go back again for maintenance, and DEFINITELY TO BUY ANOTHER BIKE. But diagnoses I think I will start doing on my own or take it somewhere where they specialize more in that field. read more
