    Nachos

Really like this place cause of its fun vibe and bottle shop concept. Restaurant is clean, staff is super friendly, and they work hard to hustle for being seemingly short staffed. The ambience is so lively, I'd highly recommend for drinks. The three stars are for the food. I had high hopes some waffle sandos, which sounds amazing in concept and even better for the price point. We started with the nachos, which might be the saltiest thing I've ever eaten in my life. The chips and cheese was insanely salty, and the pork was so cold it lost it's texture and appeal. The dish was missing something that would have made this better, like pickled jalapeños or diced tomatoes. I do appreciate that they layered everything, though. Anyway, it was so salty it made me too bloated to eat much of my actual meal. My partner and I got the ham, bacon, and cheddar waffle and the Vesuvius for our mains. The waffles were okay, the texture wasn't consistent and came out soggy for one of my sandos. The ham and cheese one was better balanced, while the Vesuvius (a take on a pizza waffle) just didn't taste right. The food just didn't blow me away like I had wanted, hope to get something better if we come back next time.

Great selection of craft beers on tap. I tried a flight to sample four beers. The food was memorable. Their sandwiches are served on homemade waffles, and somehow that works! A bonus was conversation with a friendly bartender and patrons.

As a big waffle fan, I like the idea of waffle sandwich, waffle pizza, waffle dessert... Brew ridge did the right thing for their waffles. I got a waffle pizza, and the waffle has a really good texture, crispy outside and soft/chewy inside. I also ordered a cider, but the cider taste just okay (which bring the rate down to 4 stars). Service was great. I wish there could be more sweet waffle sandwich options, as well as fresh cooked chips/fries/other kinds of sides instead of bag chips

We're doing a quick get away weekend from NOVA (and COVID-19!) to visit this sweet little Virginia country town and staying across the street so we thought we'd try this restaurant out. Food (4/5): i got the "Pass" Wafflewich and hubby got the "House Mountain Melt." Both were delicious - we got the jalapeño cheddar waffle for both sandwiches. The Pass was good - though the black bean spread was a bit overwhelming. The House Mountain Melt was then best - absolutely perfect for a waffle sandwich. Thsi had a fantastic draft beer list and an entire wall of beer in cans/bottles. They also had ciders and wines, as well! Atmosphere/COVID: (5/5): This place was not crowded on a Tuesday afternoon and we felt safe there. All the staff was wearing masks. Service (5/5): Our waiter was great- he was kind and efficient and delivered the food quickly.

A chance stop in Lexington, Virginia (home of the West Point of the South) landed us at Brewridge Taps, featuring Wafflewiches...Whoever thought of using fresh made waffles instead of plain old bread was INSPIRED! Wow, these dishes were fantastic as were the craft brews we used to wash 'em down! We'll return!

Great food, cold beer and fun atmosphere. I recommend you stop by for a bite and refreshment.

One beverage- everyone knows the rules. Stopped here while in the area for a basketball competition between Oak Hill and Bishop Walsh. The area seemed quaint, and upon touching down in Lexington, realized that VMI is located here. Small world. We parked on the street- no one out whatsoever, and walked in. Upon entry, noticed it was very bright there was a wall that was just stocked with pick n choose craft beers. Obviously, not my scene at all but maybe some apps would be hot. Upon looking at the menu, we opted to have a beverage and walk down the street to another place for food. I went with some cider beer? that felt very sweet and was really light. Had half of it and asked to buy the actual physical glass. Seems like it would be the cool hipster place to be butt coming from the rolling hills - not for me. Bartender was a nice guy. Appreciated him.

Beer selection is okay. Needs some better beers. The waffle sandwiches are delicious! Bartender was friendly.

    He Said She Said ..

He Said:I've certainly been to Lexington a bunch for various kid sports. This time it's lacrosse, She is with me, and we have plenty of time to kill so it was about time we tried it out. We were hoping to find a spot that we'd want to hang out at and this just isn't it. Good beer list, yes, and a food menu. We ordered a pretzel and, unfortunately, it came out undercooked. Twice. The honey mustard was tasty, but this was enough for us. One beer and done. She Said: As He noted, we probably won't be back--though they have good beers on tap, and they do have an excellent selection of bottles to purchase, too. But the pretzel experience but me off .... Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me this time!

My daughter ordered a Caesar Salad. I ordered the kale salad and added some chicken. My husband ordered the power bowl with salmon. The Caesar salad was a classic Caesar and was good. The Kale salad was amazing. If you like kale, I definitely recommend this salad. The power bowl was excellent too. The added chicken to my salad and the salmon added to the bowl were healthy portions which added to the meal and experience. I would definitely come back.

I wanted to get the skirt steak and fries, but unfortunately that wasn't an option online. I opt'd for the burger, as did my boyfriend, both of our burgers came out with the wrong toppings. Oh well, we ate them and they were fine. Seems like a typical, frozen burger patty. The french fries were very greasy. We also sat outside here for a drink at one point. They have a very cute patio in the back of the restaurant. I got the Lex vegas, it was thick because of the puree. I didn't think about that, it wasn't as refreshing as I thought it would have been. I really didn't have too much interaction with the staff as we just ordered a drink and then online pickup but everyone seems nice and helpful.

The chips were clearly fresh out of the fryer, perfectly crisp, and paired with a flavorful salsa that had a nice hint of heat. We both ordered the Speedy Gonzales, featuring a cheese enchilada, beef taco, and refried beans. As expected, everything was consistently good and exactly what we've come to enjoy from that dish. The restaurant itself has a great look and feel, making it an easy and enjoyable stop for lunch. We would certainly come back again if we're ever in the area

They had a lot of customers dining in and a few picking up takeaway orders. It didn't take very long for them to take our orders and to have it come out of the kitchen. They have a spacious dining area that is decorated very much on theme with Mexican-inspired decor and murals. It was cute. I ordered carnitas and a frozen mango margarita. We also ordered guacamole to share for the table. The carnitas plate was a filling portion and was quite flavorful. I quite enjoyed it. I was really disappointed with the frozen margarita; it tasted just like juice, and I was kind of looking forward to drinking a stronger margarita. We asked for a little bit more tequila to add to it, but it didn't help much. I think was balance was all out of wack. The guacamole we ordered also never made its way to our table, and we had to ask the cashier to confirm with our waiter that they need to take it off our bill because we never got it. Overall, we had an okay experience.

Four out of the five guests in our party were so excited about the Eggs Benedict with a Bernaise sauce instead of the more traditional hollandaise sauce. We loved the option of the crabcake over Florentine choices although I think all of us wish we had gotten the crabcake option after seeing it delivered to our table. The Bloody Mary's were absolutely to die for (not overdone, simple and easy to go thru a few during our breakfast) and I'll be back just for this combination again of the eggs Benedict with Bernaise and a Bloody Mary. The ambience of Heywoods was easy to enjoy. We had a lovely breakfast full of lots of laughter and never felt like we were disturbing others nor did anybody else seem to be disturbed or disrupted by the fun we were having at our table. The server was absolutely wonderful and attentive.

That was fine, but that was the only thing that was fine. Service was slow but okay, the menu was rather limited, and there were limitations to your orders. Want a salad? Fine, but no protein. Bread was only one per person. The steak was poor quality, and the "black garlic butter" was very reminiscent of movie theater butter. For popcorn. We only ate half of it. The restaurant was empty the entire time we were there, so I was disappointed to not get to sit in the main dining room. There was a piano player, which was a nice touch. We left disappointed and hungry, still. Ended up going to a diner down the road to finish the night.
