Traveling through Nashville on the way to Memphis, it was time to eat and I didn't want fast food, but rather a unique restaurant to the area-no chain. I could tell this was a local favorite. They had a lot of drink specials, but since I was driving I stuck with water. Their menu was good and I enjoyed the chicken salad and my son had a burger. They had a lot of TVs and looked like a great place to hang out to watch games. They had my favorite things-trivia nights and karaoke. I wish I lived near this place. The service was good and welcoming.

Great place for an extended hang & cheap drinks. Met a group of friends here at 3 on a Sunday & stayed until nearly 8. Vibe went from very quiet to lively as the day moved on. Good food & cheap drinks make this divey spot a gem. I plan on being back for more hangs. I had the Cajun club sammy & it was very good. Fries are slamming also.

I love coming to this local bar! The texas melt was delicious with the jalapeño mayo. The grilled fish salad was so fresh and yummy. Drinks are cheap and the servers are nice! They have music bingo, trivia, and karaoke on different days of the week. A great local spot if you are not in the mood for a crazy night out downtown!

Brewhouse West is definitely a locals spot, without question and I can truly see why the locals love this place! We recently moved to the area and Brewhouse came highly recommended as a good place for a beer and some solid bar food. The beer is top notch in selection and price, the food part needs a little work. Brewhouse West is a no frills, local, dive/sports joint where the locals of all sorts come to have a strong cocktail, local beer, cheap burger, saucy wings or even some fried alligator...all while catching the game on one of the many TV's throughout the place. One thing that immediately attracted us to Brewhouse, outside of the location to our house, was their ALL DAY HAPPY HOUR! It is legit an all day thing with specials on cocktails, wine and beer! At some points of the night and on the weekends, you can get up to 50% off of your beverages...so, sign me up! We have been here a few times now and each time dined and drank in the main dining room/bar area. They do have a more private side room and a covered back patio as well. I look forward to the warmer months, as I was told they have great patio vibes and live music on certain nights out back! Parking is not an issue here. They have a few VIP spots up front, but if you are not lucky enough to scoop one of these up then they have a large lot in the back. Each time we have visited we usually just stick to the beer menu, which features all the classics, but also a rotating local tap. I am hooked on the Mayday Boro Blonde Ale! Food wise, they serve up a mix of classic bar food as well as Mexican and Creole inspired dishes. We have sampled a few things from the menu including the Chicken Club Wrap, Patty Melt and the famed Chipotle BBQ wings. The wrap has been hit and miss, as the first visit it was perfection, however on the second time in it was not put together very well and did not have a good ratio of chicken, cheese to lettuce. The patty melt was tough, as in tough to get through. I do not want to say the burger and bread were stale, but they definitely spent more time under the heat lamp than they should have. On the flip side, the wings were excellent! They were tender, perfectly smoked and absolutely coated in the chipotle bbq sauce...and then you dip them in that spicy ranch, boyyyyyyyyy!!! Service has been solid. You can tell they are understaffed right now, as is everywhere, but they are handling it quite well. The servers have been helpful, friendly and done a great job! Overall, I enjoy Brewhouse West for what it is! It is not on the top of my culinary recommendations list for Nashville, but it definitely sits close to the top for local divey-sports bars with excellent happy hours!

We were staying down the street and the desk clerk recommended the Brewhouse. We are so glad we went. We were greeted upon arrival and told we could sit wherever we liked. Our server, Hunter, was outstanding. He was patient, friendly & knowledgable of the local brews on tap. He worked hard to make sure we had an enjoyable visit. I got the jambalaya and it was very delicious. Cooked & seasoned perfectly. The onion rings are amazing. Their fried catfish is delicious as well. The interior is typical bar seating with TVs with various sporting events.

Plenty of parking space and I came to dine alone...ordered mojo wings. These were fantastic, spicy and the wings were not dried out, the server (Robbie) was phenomenal.

But you can't pass the up the tortillas and queso, fresh, hot tortillas, so good! It's a little tight on space and if you aren't into a bustling, loud scene, may not be the place for you. But it was worth it. Would come back for sure.

Now, I should have read about the parking situation on Reddit before coming here because boy, is parking rough. You either have a few street parking options (in which neighbors get upset, rightfully so), or you fork up the $25 for paid parking across the street. Well, only paid parking was available and I wasn't about to get scammed. So, we decided to do pickup (which was not available for online ordering at the time due to how busy they were). My husband went in and waited about 45 minutes or so while I sat in the car, sitting pretty in the driver's seat in paid parking without actually paying. Loopholes. Now, if it weren't for the atrocious parking situation, Redhead Stranger is absolutely a 5 star joint. 10/10. However, if you're going to cook up some delicious grub and be so amazing that you're featured on The Food Network, at least get the parking figured out. I mean, they literally have a roped off section for people waiting to get inside as if it's some club. This is a popular hamburger spot and maybe they don't need a designated parking area, people WILL figure it out because it's just that good. Clearly, Redheaded Stranger is doing just fine without people like me griping about the parking. We ordered their popular Green Chile Cheeseburger and yes, you do need to order it. It doesn't look amazing when you open the wrapper but the flavor is all there! My husband hates on smash burgers but this? Oh. He loved this. We also ordered their totchos and the frito pie, which were both good, but the totchos being more memorable and more delicious. We also ordered a barbacoa taco and the brisket taco. Now, if I would have known how good that brisket taco was, I would have skipped paying for the frito pie and totchos and would have ordered a handful of the brisket tacos instead. The meat was so flavorful and melted perfectly into the homemade tortilla. Lord have mercy, that brisket paired with the green chile cheeseburger had me nearly acting like Meg Ryan. If you know, you know. I've also never seen my husband devour food like he did, which was the opposite of what I did. I savored every bite and saved some for later because I knew it'd be awhile before I'd ever attempt parking here again, which sucks...because the Redheaded Stranger is SO good.

This place came recommended from a friend and it seemed exciting to go to the restaurant of a singer! It is right in the heart of the downtown bar area. We had a very large group of people on a Saturday night. We had a bit of a wait as they do not take reservations. They seated us upstairs all together sort of at a row of tables separate but all on a row which worked out ok. We were there to celebrate a 21st birthday. They did say Happy Birthday but nothing special beyond that was given or provided which was a little disappointing but I think everyone in Nashville is celebrating something so I get it. Service was very good. Chips with salsa and guacamole was provided upon seating for everyone. When requested more was provided. We had one person who was Gluten Free and they appeared to take care in explaining options as well as answering any questions people had. Drinks were refilled and kept flowing (alcoholic ones). And for a busy Saturday night meals came out in a good timing. Everyone enjoyed their meal although one person had bitten into something hot and did not like it and they were happy to replace the meal. The meal that I had was fantastic! The steak quesadilla. The steak was tender and extremely flavorful. Honestly I had been a bit hesitant to order steak due to being very picky over steak quality. But I was very happy with it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and at the end of the meal the server actually was ok with splitting up the ticket even tho we were a very large group which many many establishments refuse to do so this made me very pleased! Oh they had a live band playing on the first floor which was nice. There is an elevator at the back of the restaurant which is nice for those unable or just not wanting to climb a flight of stairs . The flower wall with the Nashville name on it made such a great backdrop for photos! They had two unisex bathrooms on the first floor. I would definitely recommend and go back to this place!
