We stopped here while visiting Broadway on a hot Monday afternoon. We were promptly seated and this place was freezing. I almost went back out in the 100 degree weather for a sweatshirt. We ordered queso and chips which were really good. I had a margarita on the rocks and enchiladas. My kids had beef nachos and my husband the fish tacos. Everything was really good. Our server was just alright, but the food was good and the ambiance is fun.

Some of the best dang taco's I've ever had! They were very flavorful, juicy, and I feel like I could eat them every day hahaha! They came with a very spice sauce that I asked for on the side, which I'm glad I did because a little goes a longgg way on the spice train! Pricing was actually cheaper than I anticipated, so that was a plus! Service was wonderful and our server was very personable. I wish I caught his name so I could give him recognition, but I know that he was wearing a peridot necklace! He was super attentive and just did a great job all around. The decor inside was super fun! A combination of girly, southern twang, & cultural. I loved the mural inside as well. This location contains live music downstairs and a full restaurant upstairs. I loved the combination of the two in, all one building, and I really would love to go back here again!

My friend and I came here on a Monday afternoon - no wait. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor. This place is adorable. I love all the colors, and decor as well as all of the memorabilia. My friend started with the 'Strawberry Frozen Margarita' and I got the 'Pink Sunglasses' drink which came with small Barbie looking sunglasses as a garnishing. We shared the 'Chips and Salsas' which came with lime tortilla chips, smoked tomato salsa, and green tomatillo salsa. This was delicious. The salsas were so fresh and refreshing! I would come back just for this. I do not remember what entree my friend got, but she loved it. I got the 'Gringo' tacos which were spicy ground beef, lettuce, chipotle ranch, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and hard shell tacos. This was really good. They were not kidding when they said spicy beef. This definitely had a kick, and I love that they were hard shell tacos. I really do not like the soft shell tacos. Service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back to try some other meals! And I would recommend.

Went for Cinco de mayo. They had drink specials on the upstairs level. The tacos were really good. Shrimp was cooked nicely. Sauce was yummy. Food came out timely. It was pretty busy took a while to get drinks. Bartenders were busy & could've been more welcoming. Bar area was spacious. Music was good.

Stopped here for dinner. They have a 2nd floor where the restaurant is. Only live music is on the 1st floor. They have GF items marked on their menu. The server came by with waters and brought a drink menu. I ordered the almond sparkling wine. It was sweet and refreshing. We sat right by the window which had a nice view of Broadway. The server asked if there were any allergies and I said yes to gluten. She asked if I could have cross contamination and I said no. I had the cheese enchiladas with salsa verde sauce. There was a lot of cheese with minimal sauce but not bad. The rice was seasoned very well. They brought out vanilla gelato for my friends birthday which is also GF. The server, Jolie was very knowledgeable and did a great job.

Restaurant located on an upper floor, there is an elevators in the back, but you can take the stairs. Food was good, came out at a reasonable pace, even though the place was packed. GF menu very limited, and although Staff super friendly, they didn't really understand the severity of the allergy. Seating size inclusive. Darkly lit, country music playing.

Great food and drinks! We ordered beers, and a "Pink Sunglasses" drink which was FAB! Service lacked a little bit- there were several larger (bachelorette) parties in the restaurant and they seemed to get the servers' attention most of the time, so we did have to wait a long while just to get served. Overall, though, the live music downstairs was great, and food was really pretty good. (3-dip appetizer, chicken flautas, shrimp tacos)

    Rooftop!

Wow did I have a blast at this place! The rooftop area, bar, and music is a serious party. The bartenders were quick and she remembered my order when I came up for another drink - seriously impressive! The drink variety was great and though I didn't try food the menu looked great with a Tex Mex vibe.

Finally, a bar that has good music without busting your eardrums (like ole red & honky Tonk). This place was decorated with cute pink flowers, a light-up sign, and Miranda pics/lights. Michaela gave us excellent service and made a great cocktail! The corn critters were ok but the tacodilla was AMAZING! One of my favorite places on Broadway

    The blackberry margarita was delicious!

Shannon made me the blackberry margarita... the best one I ever had and the corn fritters were amazing. We are already planning to go back tomorrow.

This bar is for the girls!! Loved it here! Heard a great singer, Chloe Lawson and came back the next day to eat dinner and watch Thursday night football (3 TVs at the bar) on the second floor. I ordered the birria tacos and boy were they good, plenty of meat and cheese inside. My drink was called pink sunglasses and came with small Barbie looking sunglasses as a garnishing. Service friendly. But it was COLD at the bar that AC was kicking right above you. Highly recommend.

    Single Stall Gender Neutral Bathrooms
    Alyssa H.

The only spot we stumbled upon on Broadway that had a space exclusively for dining. There was live music on the first floor and music on the floors above us, but it was nice to have a less sensory overwhelming environment to eat at. The food was amazing. I had the best birria tacos I've ever had- perfectly coated in cheese. My family also lovedddd the queso burger. Rice and beans are very good too. We loved the food so much we are here twice over our 4 day trip! This is also one of the places I felt most safe as an lgbtq person. It was the only place in the state I saw single-stall bathrooms labeled as gender neutral. The first floor and rooftop bathrooms were accessible as well. The interior was very cool, and heavily influenced by who Miranda is as an artist- Pink booths, a giant sparkly saddle hanging in the center of the room, giant cacti, and contrasted with beautiful industrial fixtures.

Handicapped friendly? Can someone in a wheelchair access the restaurant on the second floor?

Yes - it's in the FAQ's on their website. "Yes. Casa Rosa is ADA accessible on all levels."

    Do I need reservations?

We walked right in. There is no food served on the first floor. We sat at the bar on the 2nd floor and had no wait. There were also plenty of open tables. We did go early in the day though. Like lunch time.

Do you have to be 21 to go in and eat here?

No, lots of families. Good spot

How long is the wait for a table typically?

Depends on time of day, we went at 1130am, seated and enjoyed great music.

I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised. The guacamole and chips were the standout of the meal. The guacamole was incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and served alongside warm, freshly made tortilla chips that were hard to stop eating. We also ordered the esquites, since I'm a huge fan of authentic elote preparado. The flavors were delicious and well-balanced. My only suggestion would be to serve the esquites warm, I promise it truly takes the dish to another level. As for the tacos, the presentation was beautiful. The Al Pastor tacos looked fantastic, but they leaned a little too sweet for my taste and were missing some of the bold, smoky flavors I associate with traditional Al Pastor, like guajillo chiles, oregano, and other aromatic spices. On the other hand, the chicken tacos were excellent. They were juicy, well-seasoned, and flavorful enough to shine without needing much from the toppings. To top it all off, our server was friendly, attentive, and helped make the entire experience enjoyable. Overall, Bakersfield exceeded my expectations. While it may not replace the authentic taco shops of the Southwest, it's definitely a solid choice in Nashville, especially if you're craving flavorful Mexican-inspired food before a night out.

I've loved Ford Fry establishments for a long time, though his Nashville outposts tend to pale in comparison to the Atlanta originals, and Little Rey kind of fits that pattern. Little Rey serves Tex-Mex in a casual setting next to the Vanderbilt campus. You order at the counter and seat yourself, making this an ideal spot for a cheap, casual lunch or dinner with a crew. There's a dedicated private parking lot (almost unheard of in this area!) and lots of great indoor and outdoor seating. I came in the early evening on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded. My chips and piping hot queso came out immediately, and my chicken al carbon taco was ready by the time I got back from the salsa bar. The salsa bar is free and amazing: 6 cold dips and 1 hot dip, full of freshness and flavor. I opted for two of the mild sauces, which were super fresh tasting but not spicy whatsoever (that was on me and my choice). One small note: the self-serve setup made the salsa bar a little messy and unkempt, and I wish it had been tidied up a bit between customers. I came in craving great chips and salsa and on that point Little Rey absolutely delivered. The chips were thin, crispy, salty, and delicious. The queso was super hot and liquidy, not spicy. Perfection. The taco itself was more of a letdown: flour tortilla was cold, chicken was a bit dry, and without the addition of salsa it felt lacking in flavor. They're supposed to be well known for chicken here, so that was disappointing. For dessert I got the vanilla soft serve with chocolate and crushed buñuelos on top. Smooth, creamy, with perfect toppings. The large was a bit too much, but at $5 it was an unbeatable price for a tasty dessert. My whole meal, dessert included, was under $20, which was such a pleasant and affordable change of pace to the surrounding area. Service was friendly, kind, and fast. I'd come back for the chips and queso and soft serve alone, but I'll keep my expectations low for the other items.
