    Mexican chocolate latte
    Christine L.

If you know me, I'm always looking for a hidden gem! Tempo is such a hidden gem with amazing breakfast tacos (and lunch tacos) and drinks. The Mexican hot chocolate latte 1000/10!! Wow! It's not too sweet, but flavorful and doesn't make the latte too milky. I'm obsessed with this and I would recommend it hot for the flavors. Their tacos are reallllly good. Something about their crispy potatoes in the tacos. My favorite is the chorizo potato taco since the chorizo is packed of flavors and with the crispy potatoes, it hits differently. You can also build your own tacos with whatever fillings you want. Trust me on those potatoes in your taco! This spot is also cool because I saw there's a stage for music events here at the cafe.

Zaila was so friendly and informative (not bias at all ) this place has great food, vibe and people. She was telling me that they have live music and different events, The tacos were even better than I remembered. I had cheese, eggs and bacon. The salsa is delish! It's not on the thick side but juicy and perfect for slurping, ha! (Sorry mom). The potatoes are good too. Honestly you can't go wrong with the food. I also got the Dirty Horchata (thank God I have self control) it's addictive and should come with a warning. Definitely worth the stop. They are in a shopping center next to a laundry mat on Nolensville Road closest to the Geodis Park Stadium. I can't find the picture with the events but check their socials! Definitely come check them out!!

Tempo is a staple of mine almost weekly whenever I'm around town! I love their Iced Mexican Mocha latte with a hint of cinnamon. Their breakfast tacos are also incredibly tasty and pretty filling. I love their Tex Mex offerings! Love their space and plenty of seat options that make it a great place to work, read, or simply enjoy a delicious bite w a friend! Staff is friendly and kind and remember a familiar face.

Sausage egg and no cheese (I ordered cheese)

This was a recommendation from the Crema coffee shop. When we walked up, it looked like it wasn't open. The fluorescent lights inside are harsh. Ordered two bacon and egg tacos and one sausage egg and cheese taco. No drinks since we already had coffee (although their coffee drinks did look good and were being made quickly). No one in line when I walked up and not many customers in the store when I ordered. The tacos took 28 min to come out and they forgot my cheese - that I paid extra for. I cannot understand what they were doing back there that took almost 30 min to put together especially considering there wasn't a backlog of orders in front of mine?? The tacos were fine. If I lived in the area, probably wouldn't go back for the food but would maybe try a coffee.

Tempo is such a gem. Coffee and tacos--say no more! The staff are genuinely friendly, and the little outdoor patio is perfect, especially if you want to bring your dog along. I tried the bean & cheese burrito and the potato & cheese burrito--both were tasty, but the potato one goes down in the books as my favorite.

Tacos and coffee are arguably my two favorite food groups ... so finding a local spot that does both well is a BIG deal. I met a friend here for a late breakfast/early lunch earlier this week and I am still thinking about this hidden gem in South Nash. Parking is easy (and free) in the attached lot. I read up on the owners before stopping by, and I love that their family is actually from Texas. They even source their coffee beans from Houston. Breakfast tacos are a Tex-Mex staple, and Tempo has a wide variety of options available at a great price. I went with one Potato & Bean taco and one Potato & Chorizo taco, along with a Vanilla Oat Latte at the recommendation of my friend. Everything was delicious - and two tacos was the perfect amount of food for brunch. The cafe itself wasn't too busy ... and the service was friendly and fast! I can definitely see myself stopping by Tempo for some more tacos soon.

This is a great place to get tacos and coffee. They have are super fast and friendly service. Be sure to check the hours on their socials, because they are not correct on Yelp or Google. I want to say they close at 2pm always. They have a stage set up so I think on some days they offer live music. They have tons of seating inside and extra parking in the back. Tempo is worth checking out for the yummy authentic tacos.

If you are looking for a quality delicious and fast tacos, tempo is the way to go. I definitely recommend ordering from the app, even if you plan on dining in because it's just smoother and faster. They have communal style seating or a bunch of tables if you want to sit with your party. They make their own tortillas in house. The egg and chorizo taco is definitely a crowd pleaser, I love the bean cheese and egg. If you want an extra treat the cheesy potatoes are to die for! It is a larger portion so recommend sharing as a side. I was surprised at the quality of their coffee, so good! And they also make an in house tea that is super refreshing: also, if you have a sweet tooth. They have a variety of coffee syrups like horchata such a treat. I love this place!

Steak and Egg Taco. I added spicy ketchup. So good!

Delicious Breakfast Tacos! I finally got to try breakfast inside the Tempo restaurant after having eaten their tacos at many NSC soccer games. So glad I went, and I plan to go back again soon. I ordered 2 breakfast tacos, and that was the perfect amount of food for me. Each taco came with what seemed like the maximum amount of fillings the tortillas could hold! The steak and egg taco was cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and the eggs were just firm enough to hold the taco together. I added some spicy ketchup and it was perfect. The Potato & Chorizo taco needed no additional sauce. It was perfectly seasoned and will definitely be my go-to taco next time I visit. The restaurant was super clean and the staff were friendly. The menu is focused and a bit limited, but everything on it is tasty. I strongly recommend Tempo for breakfast tacos!

This was so delicious! I'm so glad I finally got to try this place out. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the tacos were the perfect size. I got two and was full enough for breakfast. Definitely would recommend this shop to be people who love a good texmex option and a great cup of coffee. They also do live music inside their restaurant as well.

A hidden gem in South Nashville! On Sunday morning for brunch, the line was pretty short and we were served our breakfast tacos reasonably quickly. The potato wedges are cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, adding a fantastic texture to each bite. The tortilla was soft, the complementary salsa fresh and tangy, and the other taco ingredients all very tasty. Will be back!

Potato and Chorizo with Bean & Tx Wildflower Honey Cinnamon Latte

Here again, at my second home! Highly recommend the chorizo potato taco on corn with bean dip inside! Also, the Texas Wildflower Honey Cinnamon Latte. I actually care deeply about the staff & their positive vibes! The ambiance is great for time alone to read, to work, or to connect with a small group!

I reviewed this place like 3 years ago as "superb", and I always like to revisit places for a while to see if they hold on to what makes them special. Well, without a doubt, Tempo is still "superb". I'll elaborate more this round by saying it's not only a piece of Texas, but they are consistent and genuine in every respect. Pulling excellent espresso shots, you never miss a beat with any coffee drink, absolutely outstanding! And, I believe it's the ONLY place in Nash that makes an authentic Mexican mocha. Chill atmosphere and I love the deconstructed piano made for condiments ha. They make great hot sauces and even carry this amizod smoked sauce that is possibly the best I might have ever had. You can tell that the family running it really cares and you couldn't find more friendly people. Definitely in the top 3 breakfast spots in town. Texas plate--chorizo eggs, beans and taters into tortillas from scratch!

Ask the Community - Tempo Nashville

Do they serve any alcoholic drinks or just coffee?

They frequently have scheduled/promoted community events outside their normal hours for music performances and I believe offer alcoholic beverages then, but I doubt during their main business hours - I have never seen that.

They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The ones that aren't necessarily great for working because they're so high up and can make your legs feel weird after awhile. Haha. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! That's HUGE! Ok so overall, I highly recommend this place and it's one of my go to spots.

Cafe intermezzo falls into our lap. Unbelievable find. An oasis in the desert. Door opens a happy lady comes out with her friends and sees us looking at menu, she says "Go here. You will love it". She described a few dishes. Loved the French toast and Turkish coffee. Not sure but loving her passionate suggestion we went in. It was like walking into a cafe in Zurich Paris or Rome. Server was professional neat and polite. Menu was extensive. The classy wood paneling and nice tables were memorable. I ordered a crepe Florentine. It was savory type. It was amazing. My daughter ordered a more traditional sandwich and salad. She loved it too. There was breakfast lunch and dinner selections. Great desserts on display and being served table-side. They also made good espresso drinks. The reason I am giving 3 stars are for 3 main reasons. A) The front of the cafe smells like the sewer - incredibly unappetizing when you walk in or out. B) Our waitress messed up our order. She forgot to bring a Diet Coke. When we questioned her for it, she brought a regular coke instead of a Diet Coke. She then left the regular Coke and still charged us for the Diet Coke. C) There were 4 open tables around us. I had brought a chair next to us for us to put our purses on (they would not stay hanging on the bistro chair due to the rounded back). She told me she needed that chair "because she was planning on filling all the tables." The tables were never filled before we left and I had to cover my purse with my napkin throughout my meal.
