I have to say I love this place. They get you in fast and actually take their time cutting your hair. You don't feel like you're at a "Hair Cuttery", "Great Clips" or "Sports Clips". You feel like you are at a genuine barber who cares about the product they are creating for you. Also, to finish it off they give you a hot shave on the back of your neck that is divine. Gil is the guy who cuts my hair and I appreciate the time, accuracy and commitment he takes in cutting my hair. Brian is the best barber in the state. Hands down. I've been to over 100 barbers across the state since I moved here and Brian is the best. As soon as you walk in you know your in a good shop. Very clean and organized while maintaining the classical barber shop style. Valanti is also very good. I have not tried his other barbers but if you want a quality cut, call ahead and request Brian or Valanti. I've been traveling 20 miles for 5 years every month just because Brian is that good. He is also very good with children as well. Highly recommended! read more

I needed to find a barber close to my office, after becoming largely unhappy with various salons I had used over the past decade or so. It's nerve wracking to have to change stylists, and I've had some pretty bad experiences. I decided to try doing a few searches online, and look out for one with a great approval rating. After doing a little nosing around, I found that Brian Bunce Barbers filled that need perfectly, so I figured I'd give them a shot. I am so glad I did! I stopped in this afternoon to check things out, expecting to just make an appointment. As it turns out, I was actually able to meet the owner, Brian, and he took me in right away-- INSTEAD OF EATING HIS LUNCH. I was blown away by his skill, attention to detail, hospitality, and by the fact that he LISTENS TO YOU. I got what I think is one of the most superb cuts I have ever had at a great price that is less than most salons, and he is an awesome guy to chat with on top of it all. We talked all about how he started out in this career, and without a doubt he has created a remarkable business of satisfied customers. I really can't say enough about him, and it was a 100% positive experience from start to finish. No credit, take cash with you. I've been a loyal customer of Brian's since before he opened this shop; have been getting my hair cut by him for some 7 + years now. That alone should tell you something. I have a particular taper style that I prefer, which can be fairly challenging for even the most seasoned/adept barber, and Brian can do it with perfection and ease. The shop is located in a very convenient and accessible shopping center. The vintage decor/theme creates a very warm/comfortable setting. Customer service from all who work there is top notch. This was the worst haircut I've received in my life most likely. It's obvious they don't know typical Blake hairstyles or hair care. I didn't even go in for anything special, just a simple line up face and hairline. Nothing major. Something yes I could do myself, but don't on account of shaky hands. And I thought "what barber can mess up a line up? They're a barber after all." But thankfully my hairline isn't crooked it's just not clean cut like going to a black barber would do for you. And my beard isn't wasn't even even matching on either sides. The woman who did it for me, while EXTEMELY polite and nice to talk to, she didn't know what she was doing as far as a line up goes. An extremely fair and cheap price for a line up; $5, I just can't get past how it didn't achieve anything. I tipped 10 dollars as well. So a 15 dollar line up to have vibrating meta put against my skin and not accomplish anything. Money well spent I suppose read more

What great barber shop. Break the corporate chains and give Brian and his barbers a shot! My son and I just left the shop. The wait time was short but the attention to detail from our barbers was top notch. Great prices too!! SO glad I found this shop... and Gil, my new barber!! I like the vibe of the place... just like what I imagine my GrandFather would have cherished. My cuts are always precise and make me feel like a brand new person. Gil takes his time to get it right, and I like that. Until he started cutting it, I was ALWAYS having to go home and re-cut the uneven parts from the chain-store shops I had been going to. I have been getting my hair cut by Gil for the last year, and he does an excellent job. He doesn't rush, is thorough making sure everything looks great, and provides helpful suggestions.
