I hired Mr. Brian E Watkins many years ago, finally exposing my horrible experience with him and staff professionally on my cases. I have never left a Yelp review in my life. This awful one is well deserved, he knows it and would be a complete moron to dispute it. I'm also sure The San Diego's District attorney office would also agree with this bad review after I requested an investigation on my case that was triggered by a anonymous caller? The outcome from the requested investigation is Mr. Brian Watkins operates on unethical legal practices and professionalism towards paid consumers. He knows, it's true because I confronted him personally in early 2021. His law firm needs a reality check on respect and professionalism in San Diego when working with "ALL" paid clients. I'm here to warn other civilians specifically women. BEWARE!! Mr. Brian E Watkins from my own personal experience is a egomaniac, narcissistic, lazy and a compulsive liar. He thought he fooled me,but not at all. I knew evidence and the truth was needed for any allegations brought upon anyone including him in my book, as a consumer. Professionally I'm repulsed by the experience being dragged for years and how careless he can be when having others lives in his hands, leaving many of us without a defense or even offering one like another unsatisfied customer stated on Yelp about Mr. Watkins not working on a case until he receives payment in full is a accurate statement as for my experience with him too. I would have gotten better and fair representation, if I went with a public defender on my case. Sad but true. Especially when you're innocent of the charges brought against you until proven guilty in court. Somehow Mr. Watkins missed that part in law school when working with me. How financially convenient for him as a attorney with a bail bonds company placing me on probation for a crime, I didn't commit? Perspective. Let me also mention a week before my hearing in Feb 2017, I fired Mr. Watkins because he wasn't ready after I questioned him personally about the case. It was truly horrify experience his work ethic on that case. had the the nerve publicly on Instagram ( look up a hashtag) #BrianEWatkins sharing his over confident ego on video beside his brother who is a bail bondsmen and are both intoxicated at a bar just a few days before my first hearing and he wasn't prepared for. video clip shows a glimpse of his legal mindset and behavior with his brother who is a bail bondsmen. Legally that's pretty scary Mr. Watkins did represented me on a fraudulent case for $6000 without offering me a trial or doing much work just a week before the first hearing date, until I verbally fired him. Yup! You're damn right I exercised my American rights with Mr. Watkins, he wasn't expecting that from me. All of sudden a few days later he's no longer talking about jail time and offered me a settlement deal before that first hearing. How fishy and convenient for him and prosecutor?. Such a low life move on his part throwing me under the bus knowing I'm a single mother of 3 kids being falsely accused. He literally thrives on consumers lack of knowledge in the legal system and will vomit whatever crap he thinks sounds legitimate in his delusional head. It's all truly disturbing and such a toxic experience . Perspective. Please do exactly what I did when dealing with Mr. Watkins or his staff and contact the San Diego's District Attorney office with any of your complaints when things sounds fishy. Also if you make a cash payment to him or his secretary Lisette Lertique be careful she lies, too about a $1000 cash payment directly made to her. Talk about crazy & unethical?. I verbally checked her hard in the most foul language. What she didn't know was; I had already been down this road with Mr. Watkins and his mess ups. Not sure why they can grasp that tormenting consumers mental health for pleasure is not for their entertainment nor what I hired him for. It has been a non stop sh*t show for years there towards me and others who have left reviews. Let me also mention I was a paid client before Lisette Lertique employment there at Mr. Watkins law firm and for years the whole experience has been a true living nightmare for me and family. I wish I never got referred to Brian E Watkins. This should never be the type of bad service or environment for civilians/ consumers when looking for hired paid legal aid. As we all move forward in 2022 navigating through all the lies and bullshit. We must do our part as consumers, speak up and protect Society by sharing the truth of bad companies and services offered in San Diego. I found myself in an extreme emotionally draining predicament. I have never been in any legal trouble, never had any encounters with the police. I was petrified with what I was facing. I was already aware of Mr. Brian Watkins, as I have seen him on Dr. Phil and due to my large social networking system Mr. Watkins came highly recommend by other lawyers, medical staff, a professor, and even local news anchors. I called Mr. Watkins, he could hear the fear in my voice and agreed to see me that day. When I arrived to his office, his office was clean, inviting, and his staff was extremely welcoming. She was able to talk with me, diminish some of my fears while Brian Watkins was in a meeting. After Mr. Watkins finished his meeting, he called me into his office. He was extremely knowledgeable, took notes, asked questions and listened, his body language proved he was interested in this case. He informed me to never be scared to tell him anything because he will defend, which proved too me that he cares for his clients best interest and he is protective of his clients. He laid out options of what he had planned to do. I felt so much stress decrease from my body after talking with him. I knew I retained the right lawyer. Once I left his office, I received an email from him that he already sent the other lawyer an email THAT DAY which got the ball rolling. With Mr. Watkins extensive experience, knowledge, and education he is able to point out the other sides mistakes which resolves issues that much quicker and gives him the upper advantage. Mr. Watkins was on the ball, as he arranged meetings, he was responsive and answered questions in a timely manner. Further, Mr. Watkins gets to know his clients, he knew and understood I was nervous he would tell me what day and time he would call, and he always made sure to call on that day and time. He never left me in the dark wondering what could happen, he fully kept me informed. Additionally, I always felt that Mr. Watkins truly was on my side because he used the terms "our side". Mr. Watkins took the time to explore all evidence. He wants to know everything. Further, he gracefully accepts any challenge, additional work that comes his way to protect his clients and to ensure that his clients receive the best outcome. Perfect example, at first when I retained him it was just one lawyer and Mr. Watkins gladly took the challenge, and ended up talking to two lawyers and I was fully confident in him and trust him completely. Moving forward I will only recommend Brian Watkins, and how Mr. Watkins has changed me and made me happy again, my family, friends, social networking has seen the great work Mr. Watkins has completed that they too will only retain/recommend Brian Watkins.
