Because I didn't feel confident relying solely on his advice, I consulted three other immigration attorneys. All of them independently confirmed that there was nothing wrong with my filing and simply advised me to contact USCIS since my case was outside normal processing time. I followed that advice and received my green card without any issues. I recommend double-checking your case with other attorneys before proceeding with costly amendments.
