I was off work for 10 weeks still not back to work with out restrictions. I am an active person who loves to ski and run in the park which I can no longer do. I reached out to Habbas Law on November 6th while I was sick with prolonged laryngitis. My issue was that the other party's insurance had been giving me the runaround towards the end, making it difficult to get reimbursed. When I switched medical insurances in January 2024 due to no longer qualifying for Medical, my new insurance would not cover or see me for any of my injuries because they were pre-existing and due to a motor vehicle accident (MVA). Despite having no voice at the time, I tried to follow up via email on the 6th and 7th, but received no response. I sent another follow-up email later, still with no reply. I then called on the 12th and was told someone would call me back, but I never received a call or voicemail. My accident was on November 22nd, although some paperwork stated the 28th. I received a final offer from the other party's insurance, but they refused to consider my bulging disk and the fact that I had already been denied treatment because of the MVA. They required me to see a doctor, but this was just two weeks before the statute of limitations. I couldn't get an appointment or afford to see a doctor throughout the year, so I wasn't seen. I suffered in pain the whole time while dealing with both the other party's insurance and my medical insurance. This is why I reached out to Habbas Law. All the other attorneys I spoke to wouldn't take the case because they felt they couldn't get me more than what was being offered. I managed to negotiate from $5K to $30K on my own, but I still needed assistance as they did not consider my bulging disk needing long-term medical care. I can hardly walk after sitting for 20 minutes, making it difficult to do nearly anything. Habbas Law not returning my call in a timely manner and me having to call back with only three days before the statute of limitations really didn't help. They refused to take my case due to the over a year gap between me being seen by a doctor, which was not due to any neglect on my part. I had been trying to be seen the entire time but couldn't afford it because my insurance denied the claim. If they had returned my call the first time, this might not have been the case. Over the course of the year ago and at the end that time they got me to agree to a settlement of $6000 With that settlement of $6000 I was only going to receive $200, So I guess they felt bad and said they were going to instead of giving me two hundred as it makes no sense they would give me a $1,000 so in August 2025 I signed a release for $1000 settlement fund. I was told that the insurance company sent that check to the wrong address and a new check was going to be overnighted. I was involved in an accident where my car was totaled and I was injured. My friend recommended Habbas so I decided to give them a call. In the beginning everything was quick when I had questions or concerns. It has been 9.5 months and I have had to change lawyers. I would try to get in contact with my case manager Grace and multiple emails and phone calls were not returned. I would call their main office and the person who answered would give me a different response each time. She's in a meeting, she's on vacation, she's out of the office because she's sick. From what my new lawyer is telling me this shouldn't have taken this long. Even my chiropractor sent multiple emails and made numerous phones calls and there was no response. When I called I spoke to someone over the phone and told them that I no longer needed their services and the lady told me she would tell my case manager and the lawyers. My new lawyer is telling me that Habbas is claiming that I never notified them that I no longer needed their services. It's sad that I have to send my new lawyer all the emails and screenshots of my call history. RESPONSE TO OMAR: Omar. Treatment was done and I needed to know what the next steps were. I have screen shots of all the calls that were made as well as emails that were sent out with no response.
