Had our firstborn see Dr. Gaw and the little guy that followed (second child). Had a wonderful experience with the doctor, compassionate, caring and as always, a cheerful person. I don't know how some reviews would say otherwise but, that's their personal opinion (May be having a bad day). I order for someone to tell how competent a practitioner is, one should be on the same field of practice and you should be darn good at it. Haven't had any bad experience from one of our visits. As long as you stick with your appointment and be on time, they'll get to you when it's your turn. read more

The doctor Brian is amazing and very professional. It's just his staff that isn't up to par with him. Especially the medical billing lady most of them are very rude and stubborn. They feel like they are smarter then the doctor himself and can't even fill their own paperwork correctly half the time. They either give the wrong referrals or they simply send you to the furthest place possible when their are other options near by. I personally think he should get rid of most of them being as old as those lady are you'd think they should know what they are doing but they simply don't. Especially the lady that looks like the Mexican precious she is the most rudest lady that even argues with the doctor on things as if she went to school longer then him. When all she did was the bare minimum to become a medical billing lady. He needs to get rid of her at least for always undermining him and his knowledge. Since our last visit to Dr. Gaw's office, so many improvements have been made. His new Staff is amazing, I'm very please with these new ladies, they work efficiently and they carry themselves in a very professional demeanor, making the flow and just everything that much better. Also the clinic is expanding. No more crowded waiting room. I definitely had to come back and give them all 5 stars. Great Job everyone!!! And best of all as always Dr Gaw always takes care of my boys, keeping them healthy. I truly trust him with their health over anybody. This a very busy office. Please be nice to all. Why are they busy? Because they're the Best. If you're complaining about waiting, think of it this way. No one can control time..unless it's CERN. First be warned their office is 9/10 always busy unless you get the very last appointment. But the office team itself is friendly...ish. My son has been going to Dr Gaw for the past 5 years and he is the best. You know how most doctors rush you especially as a parent? NOT Dr Gaw!!! He takes his time and answers all questions and concerns. I would not have my child with another doctor and we have tried others before I found Dr. Gaw. De Brian Gaw is an amazing dr I came across in antelope valley. My twin boys is been going there since they were 6 months. I never had any problems with appointments. He is super flexible with giving appointments and follow up. If I was unable to contact through phone; I emailed him and there was always a reply back from them. All of his staff is really nice. I feel Like some people find the Rude because they are doing everything so fast but honestly they are keeping everyone on track. My daughter suffered a concussion on Saturday. Took her to the ER they recommended to follow up with her Dr. I have been calling the office for two days only to get a voicemail and no returned calls. This morning I was the second parent to arrive and was told to take a seat that they needed to help the ones who signed in which were two kids. As I was waiting more and more parents kept showing up and they attended them all while I was still waiting. All I wanted to do was find out if she can be seen or make an appointment. After everyone was called no one helped me. So many people in that office and no help. Never again. My daughters Insurance was changed to this office but I'm definitely changing it back. Went to her pervious Drs. Office and was given an appointment as soon as I walked in. I didn't have to wait. I'm sure the Dr. Is great but the staff is horrible here. read more

Customer service is next to non existent! I could not get a hold of anyone in this office, I can literally say I've called over 30 times to confirm my daughters appt and no one has answered. You can't even leave a voicemail as their voicemail box is full! Finally went for my daughters appt and geez, there's no AC, very dirty office, and again customer service was terrible. Dr. Gaw himself was okay, he saw my daughter, did her measurements, told me she's getting 3 shots and boom he's out the door. Thats probably normal since it's only her 2nd month physical but I would've loved to see him interact with my child a little bit more and see whether we had questions or not. read more

I'm sorry to say, it's time for me to find a different office. Like I said before, I actually enjoy the Dr. But the staff/customer service is HORRIBLE. I was trying to make an appointment for my sons vaccinations & I could not get a hold of them for over a week. The phones always busy or no one answers. When I finally got an appointment, there was a lady changing her newborn daughters diaper in the waiting room on her lap, the office is dirty, it was FULL, no where to sit. So awkward waiting to be called in. The girls in the front are not helpful at all. Hopefully the Dr gets his standards up. 1 star for Dr Gaw. My kids and now my grandkids have been coming to this office since they were little. Back then, the office was busy but not so busy as to have long wait times and the reception desk was always a pleasure to talk to. Now, I'm going to be pulling all my kids from this office. It's always dirty, loud and packed full of irritated parents like myself and my husband. I have brought my foster children here for the last 3 years and Dr Gaw is wonderful, his staff on the other hand is horrible. They have no clue how to be courteous. I made an appointment over a month ago, my husband takes them in and they state they don't make appointments that far ahead for flu shots. Dr. Gaw is a great pediatrician!!! He's been my son's doctor since I moved to the AV and he's really good. His office isn't fancy but to me that's not what matters, a good doctor is what matters. His office staff is nice and it's pretty easy to get them in the schedule if your child is really ill. My insurance changed but I made sure to keep him as his pediatrician for sure :) read more

OMG! I love Dr. Brian Gaw, he is a awesome Pediatric doctor. My daughter has been going to Dr. Gaw since she was 3 days old , she will be 2 on June 19, 2011. My daughter Emoni Williams just loves him. I was upset to know he was gone, but I did my research and found him! It turned my frown upside down! He is a great doctor! He has great staff on board with him. The staff always takes good care of my daughter. I am very happy he has his own office, I will follow him where ever he goes to keep my daughter happy. He doesnt make my daughter feel scared like most doctors, he pays very close attenttion to my daughter and he plays and makes my daughter laugh as he does the checkup! Front office girls are literally the worse I have ever dealt with. Denise who is the supposed supervisor doesn't care at all about helping anyone or lifting a finger on a mistake caused by her and the office. We had an appt set for the 19th, we go to appt and we are told we had an appt for the 26th. She said she "may have put us on the wrong date on their schedule".... instead of trying to work it out or still see us since we were there she said "oh well" we can't see you. No apology, no trying to fit us in, pretty much see you later and come back next week. We had a deadline for sports and school for a physical due by the 24th. So for them not to do anything to help due to their mistake, tells me they have no care in the world for anyone or any of Dr. Gaws patients. We cancelled our appt.and got squeezed in, in a better office thankfully. Do not go to this office unless you want to be rudely spoken to and treated like crap. I have only been to this office a few times and most of my experiences here were terrible. My first appointment with him was incredibly rushed and my boys didn't even get the services they were scheduled for. I felt like I was a burden that was being pushed out. And I have had plenty of attitude from the receptionist on multiple occasions. If not all. Will NOT be coming back to this office. I have been seeing Dr Miranda Gaw which is Dr Brian Gaws wife for a year now. The first appointment was awefull While in the first waiting rood area I waited 45 minutes this waiting office was was full of snot nosed children the office looked life a wealfare office with dirty walls and floors. This place makes you want to wear a mask for fear of sickness because of the uncleanleness. First I sat out with the children then was hearded to another area where 4 or 5 of us then waited for another 2 hours. I guess no one elses time is as important as hers. Once in the room I waited anotehr 15 mins a total of 3 hours. Miss communication was inevitable, due to the lack of time allowed. Dr Gaw seemed very noice but very much lacked focus due to time constaints. The only time I go to a Dr is for diagnostics since I am a holistic practicioner. I was having a stomach problem that needed a diagnosis so I could then help myslef. An ultrasound was ordered STAT, the problem was her under trained assistant coded the request to the insurance company incorrectly so it kept on getting kicked back so no one bothered to correct the order. This went on for 6 weeks, I finally contacted the insurance company again they told me that the person coding the request was using a 7 number which is for an office visit vs a 9 numer code which is for ultrasound. I then contacted Dr gaws office and atually got her assistant. that was a miracle. Normally you have to travel to the office for an appointment because the phone is etierh busy or you get a full answering machine that is the normal. So now I had both the insurance comapny person and Dr Gas assistant on the phone and the assistant is arguing with the insurance company as to what codes were correct. Geesh . So in the mean time nothing happens again I get no where. I leave my phone number and someone call me back on my alternate phone # which I gave them the correct phone 3 to call me back at. DETAILS PEOPLE!!! Listen with both ears and pay attention! 4 days later I get a phone call from renasaunce imaging saying there was an order for a diffrent test not the correct one, go figure so back to the insurance company again to complain about there incompentency. Finally I got the correct code from the insurance company so the order was put throug by Mia who is one of the only people there who has a clue. 2 days later I had the test. Once I had test results and labs done results were not given in a timely manner which was really important in order to move forward to the specialist. Results were given to me but didnt include all the reccomendations even though those reccomendations were not warrented. a diagnosis of diabetis is not soly done on one test esp if someonw has been under intense stress! So now freaked out I moniter my blood glucose which is fine for weeks and labs also confirmed all ok. You do not base diabetis off of one test! there are to many variables. So I file a grievence because this is unexceptable. Dr dismisses me which is fine only problem is there are 2 more tests that need to be done before a scope can be done but Dr Gaw will no longer see me even though I had 30 more days until I needed to find another Dr. So now I am back at square one looking again for another Dr who dosent have incopatent staff, That is hard to find here in the AV with they type of insurance I have. All these Dr want to do is give you pills so you have to continue to come back for more symptoms vs. actually identifing what the cause is so it can be resolved, It is called big pharma and greed! read more

My daughter was very sick and needed to be seen urgently. I called the doctor's office to see if she could be seen the same day since she was suffering and really needed some medication. The lady at the front desk was very rude and told me to take her to the ER. I tried to explain to her that it was not an emergency just urgent. The lady was still very rude and said Dr. Gaw only sees patients with appointments. So Good Luck to all his patients who get sick without an appointment. Where do I begin? My children have been patients of Dr. Gaw's for some years now and I COULDN'T ASK FOR BETTER!!!!! My experiences there are always full of laughter and I learn something new every time. Dr. Gaw' staff is very informative and helpful. I read all these complaints on here and I think maybe some of these reviews are not correct. My children get the service they need. That's what I bring them to the doctor for....if you don't get a smile from someone, so be it...you don't know what kind of day they may be having. Don't cry about it. The children love their experiences with their doctor...that's all that matters. If you don't like having this as your office...why do you bring your children???? i live in a small town but really perfer dr gaws staff and himself. i will drive the 1 45 min to have the dr that he is ! not only is he resepctrful to my personal wishes and concerns hes educational in a non judgemental way and is always up for questions and help me search out alternitive routes for meds or treatment. his staff that is at his new office is fabulous and i just love his personal nurse. she is great with all my children!! read more
