I was cautious about this clinic once I drove into the lot. It doesn't look like the safest place, but there is a security guard inside. They have urgent care and you can walk in, but be expected to wait at least 3 hours. The waiting room was packed and the AC wasn't on..not good when there's a room full of sickies breathing in each other's germs. I fell asleep during the wait since it was so hot in there! The employees are nice, except they don't really tell the truth in terms of the wait. They always give the same answer..you have a few people ahead of you. Also, if you don't wait in the correct waiting room, they won't call your name out in the registration area so you'll miss your place. If this is your first visit, you'll have to register to be in the system. That alone will take an hour. The doctor and nurses were great. You'll probably get to see the doctor for 1 minute for every hour you wait. read more

A little hard to know what kind of clinic they are when you can't even reach them. I've been calling for two days. If you select the option for scheduling, you have to listen to a long winded message in both English and Spanish. Then you hear, "Transferring to an operator", then a busy signal. If you select the option for operator, the phone just rings and rings until you give up. Called the mental health dept. to see if they have a better phone number. She gave me the phone number to the department of county social services. Very discouraging when you're desperately trying to find a doctor. read more

I have been trying to schedule a dental appointment for my mother for several weeks now. However, every time I call the AV Community Clinic Dental Office, the phone rings 100 times before someone answers. When someone finally responds, I am transferred to another department that ALSO never responds. Or, I am placed on hold for 10+ minutes. What kind of business does this? A professional medical office should be able to respond to calls in a reasonable amount of time. read more

Worst place ever hands down. Appointments are only available in 3 months from the day you make them, doctors cancel or quit so you are asked to be okay with it and make another appointment in another 3 months. The nurses lie on their notes saying they spoke to patient when I never once spoke to them with them changing my appointments. I called to asked for the complaint number yet they were like it's close. Nearly half-a-year went by and I still haven't seen the doctor. Honestly I'm done with this shitty place. I think I'm another 3 months for my next appointment I'll probably be dead or will be asked something magically happen that I need to reschedule the appointment. I absolutely love Dr. Britney D'Ambra Sanchez, she has been an amazing doctor to my children and always makes sure I keep up with my visits, even when she is in with one of my children and I have a question about another one of my children that she see's she answers my question without hesitation and knows what I am talking about. I love her. I am also a fan of Dr. Michael Gales he made sure I understood what was going on with my body and treatment! he always spoke to me with kindness and wasn't just trying to shove pills my way but wanted to take the time to understand what was going on with me. I love my doctors. The only negative I would say is the wait time I have just for someone to answer the phone to make an appointment I was honestly waiting for over HALF AN HOUR for someone to answer the phone just so I can make an appointment. Also when we go in to check in the women are sometimes just talking amongst themselves instead of assisting the patients that is very unprofessional. Making other people wait just so they can carry on with their conversation its very annoying. If it wasn't for my those two amazing doctors I would have already transferred over to another hospital. read more

Very upest. Appointment was made months ago. Never called and reminded. Doctor changed offices and never called. Checked in and waited for 20 mins. Called in and only vitals taken. Told them if I was not going to be seen before 11 that I need to reschedule. Told not to worry. Waited another half hour and still no Doctor. so went out to reschedule after wasting that half hour. Worse clinic ever. I've been sitting here for 2 hrs trying to be seen and all I get is "in a few min" those few min keep Turing into hrs. I am not happy. I have my 2 kids with me and they are hungry and everyone here just lags. I have been here a few times, and if you have an apt it's a long wait and if your a walk in its a long wait! So for the time spent, I give this place 2 stars and 5 stars for NP Bodily; very patient, thorough, follows up and genuinely seems concerned about her patients! (Lancaster location). Wait time to make apts can be a month or longer so if its urgent you have to go to walk in, but once you have seen a doctor your follow up is in the normal realms! read more

I wish I could have made this comment a long time ago, but i'm glad I have yelp to finally voice my concerns about this place. This clinic was absolutely horrendous. I have had really bad experiences. One experience that stood out to me the most was one from a PA. I can't remember her name because this was like 3 years ago when this happened to me. I have always had very painful menstrual cramps. It would always be so heavy and painful that I would have a problem with bleeding through my scrubs and pants. When I had an appointment I met with a PA. As soon as this PA came into the room she told me this as soon as she opened the door. "Okay, what kind of drugs do you want?" I was shocked because she made it seem as if I was only seeking drugs. I explained to her that my menstrual cramps have become a problem of mine and I was not seeking pain relief, but other alternatives. I was mortified. I wish I could've complained to someone back then, but I felt I had no voice and my concerns wouldn't go to far. I just hope no one else has had my same experience here. read more

Unfortunately, there is always a long wait. Luckily, the doctors can be worth it. I like my doctor- shes a bit brusque, but she actually does her job well and tries to help. I think she cares about her patients but is so overbooked that its hard for her to have the time to get to know them. My PCP is another story. He helps but is often rude and insulting. Since I'm not there to make friends with him I deal but hopefully I'll have a new doctor one of these days. Until then I just try to see my specialist instead. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would... why? Because we can't even get in! After hours on hold in January 2019 I finally was able to get my two children scheduled for new patient visits IN APRIL but that's fine, I understand offices are busy and I waited patiently. 2 days before the visit I got a text saying I had to reschedule. Tried to call back. 25 minutes on hold and hang up 17 minute hold then hang up 15 minute hold hand up 40 minute hold then office closed and answering service answered saying they can't help me. Requested supervisor call me. Called the next day (now 24 hours before the appointment) spoke to supervisor (after 15 minute hold) for her never to apologize about this calling and communication issue. Next available appointment to reschedule? Last week in JUNE. Yes another 2 month wait... I told her that I understand if a patient chooses to reschedule their appointment that they must go to the end of the waitlist but if the doctor pushes it that it isn't ok to make a patient wait 7 months (it would be exactly 7 months 3 days after the day she offered) for a new patient appointment. I honestly do not care which doctor. Which location. I am not picky and waiting for something special. This is not a 1 doc office, this is not a specialist there is no reasonable reason making patients sit on home for hours or waiting 7 months for appointments. This is totally not acceptable and they obviously do not care about actually caring for patients.... read more

I decided to come back here since my doctor couldn't fit me in his schedule for the next 30 days and the usual urgent care I go to I wait until midnight right before they close before I am seen. Here it was and is still very clean, professional and I was treated with respect, care and understanding. I was only waiting about an hour before I was seen again very friendly, paid attention to my nonverbal cues, I would definitely recommend this clinic for your needs if it is a non emergency. read more

So far this place is pretty slow. It's been about 30 min and I have been here for sharp abdominal pain and I don't believe they are taking me seriously. I JUST WANT to find out if i am pregnant or not. They are extremely slow. I truly hope this place is well equipped to let me know if I am expecting something. Worst experience ever whoever told their male receptionist or whatever they're called that they can laugh at a patient who is in a lot of pain and yet never explain why I'm not allowed in makes no sense!! I was told to come in as urgent care as I come in 10 minutes later after waiting 20 minutes was told at 5:20 but they were over capacity and could no longer take any more patients. And I didn't understand why would they not look down before calling me? He couldn't answer me laughed at me then proceeded to tell me now I couldn't be seen cause I didn't have a chart... how would I have a chart if I haven't been seen!??? The pediatrician Dr Round is amazing. But the staff his Medical Assistant Julissa is not very smart and the referral department is just as bad. I took my daughter in to get her ankle and foot evaluated. She fell down some stairs and her foot and ankle was extremely buirsed. I knew she did not need to go to the ER because she was able to move her toes and ankle so there was no break. The Dr said he wants to do an X-ray just to make sure and said he need to ask if it needs a referral auth from the insurance. He came back and said it does and that he'll send it STAT so we should have an approval the next day. So me being in the medical field I called the insurance and asked if she needed a referral auth. I was told no. So the next day I got the referral auth approval and went to the location so she can get the X-ray. I was told they need to call the office to get the Drs signed orders. They called and was told the Dr is not in today so there is no order to call back tomorrow. Again me being in this field I know to get a referral auth you need to submit the order with your request. So I went to the office and spoke with Yesi the back office supervisor. She was very helpful and had Steven fax the orders to the imaging center. Where finally my daughter was able to get her X-ray. So all this drama and run around for nothing. Thank God I'm in this field so I know the routine and how things work but I can't imagine the frustration of someone who is not in the field and doesn't know any better. If you call before 5, they will put you on hold til 5 just so they won't have to help you, and can shove you to voicemail after you waited on hold for them. There is little difference between this place, and not having health care at all. read more

Don't waste your time with AVCC. If you want an appointment you have to wait AT LEAST 6 weeks. If your sick, you're in trouble because your only option is to wait in a fully packed urgent care with no seats or sit outside in the 50 degree weather- for 3 to 4 hours. I didn't even register even though I have a sick baby because I refused to have her sit in that tiny room packed with a bunch of sick/coughing children and adults for 4 to 5 hours- especially after I heard the receptionist tell the lady in front that "all they can do is give you some meds and send you away". They have no lab, no xrays, essentially no diagnostics at the urgent care. Just save yourself the headache and go to the ER. Or better yet, don't have them assigned as your provider in the first place. Biggest mistake I ever made..... We will be going to the ER both for her and my persistent abdominal pain since we seem to have no other choice.... read more

F&*k this place. Had me go through and eight month process,getting my teeth cleaned. They told me if i paid for my deep cleaning cash,that they would cover a much needed crown. After waiting almost a year,it was finally done. Then they refer me to a place that knows nothing about covering the crown. I go back,then they send me to another place that sets an appointment,just to tell me they don't cover it and need a bunch more work. They have there head up there asses here. Urgent care closes at 8, but turns people away at 6:30. I'm sure they are over worked and under paid... but how sad is that? Or how about hoping for some type of relief, but Urgent care cannot provide any real assistance, but hold on, for that broken bone they can give you a referral date in two weeks. Just sad. read more
