If you value your life, DO NOT SEE ANYONE IN THIS PRACTICE. Both my mother and my sister have been patients here. Both were admitted to the hospital recently and both were diagnosed with cancer. The office, both Dr. and PA's were shocked when they found out they both had cancer. The PA, Peter, had no idea and even though he was seeing my sister for her health problems, thought my sister had an intestinal infection, C. Dificil, which can sometimes take months to clear up. He personally told me that it cleared up within one week. Almost impossible to be quite honest. Sister told him she was losing so much weight. He was not concerned at all with that and told her to drink Ensure. Really? First clue to cancer is sudden weight loss and he's not concerned? Why? I'll tell you why. Because he's only a physician's assistant, not a doctor. I know my mother had only seen the doctor one time, and then the PA every time after and same with my sister. Your insurance is billed as if you had seen a doctor, when in fact, you did not. You saw a poorly trained physician's assistant. People, get proper treatment and don't see a PA. See a doctor who is trained to seriously review your health clues when you come to see them. I personally think this office should be investigated for neglect of patients, and improper patient care. I will be looking into this. My sister passed yesterday and I am disgusted with their patient care and their inability to diagnose a life threatening disease or even refer both my mother and my sister to a specialist. The office has been reported to the police officer who attended at the scene when emergency dispatch came. They should all lose their licenses and this office should be closed permanently. read more

Thee worst experience everrrrr ! Now Typically I see Cheridah Seeley who is one of the best PA at Joshua or either Jeff who is also an excellent provider. But this time and which will be the last time I " PETER" will never happen again ! Given Cheridah and Jeff were not available for this particular visit. My husband and I were scheduled for vaccinations for an upcoming visit. Peter , comes in with not only the worst bedside manners . But proceeds to tell us both we need to go to CDC website and go to the health department for vaccines. Luckily, I have a good relationship with management there and expressed my concerns and Peter was redirected in his approach and misinformed information he gave my both husband and I . But then to add insult to injury we addressed the fact that one of us had a lingering cough. Peter whom I think barely passed his medical exam prescribed 4 prescription medications for a simple cough. I honestly don't know what Dr. Martinez was thinking when he hired this guy who comes off a bit condescending, lazy and a bit of saltine cracker if you know what I mean. I say all this to say avoid Peter at all cost and the headache. Dr. Martinez is running a medical practice that is not professional. He/they are not transparent about appt scheduling, calling you if they are running late, or anything else. Additionally, he is the only dr. in his practice, and the other two are only Physician Assistants. PA's may have credentials but they are not doctors. Dr. Gonzalo Martinez & Kay Roberts, PA...an awesome team! I've only recently been coming to see Kay Roberts, PA at Joshua Medical Group, but he has been my wife's doctor since she was a little kid. Being a patient at their office is always a pleasurable experence. Andy and Michelle, the nurses always greet me by first name and make time on their schedles to see me even if I don't have an appointment. I have literally walked into a full waiting room and was seen without an appointment, I dont know of many MD's offices that are willing to do this for their patients. Also, Dr. Martinez personally treated my grandmother while she was sick and kept myself and our entire family up to date with everything that was going on. I would get voicemails from Dr. Martinez explaining every test and every procedure that was going on...it was truly personalized, first rate care from Dr. Martinez. Everyone is nice that works here & they are pretty good about making appointments in a reasonable timeframe. However, I thought we had a primary care physician in Jennifer Sullivan but she is a nurse practitioner. I was never corrected by anyone in that assumption. Further, while she is reasonably good at recognizing basic illnesses, and pretty kind, her bedside manner is rushed & she is not knowledgeable about plant-based nutrition. She is actually disparaging of it even though it is endorsed as a healthy option by most major medical organizations. The doctor there is kind & personable but also rather rushed. Lets start with being on hold many times for over 15 minutes, no return calls from staff or doctors, attempting to get medical clearance for surgery (5 days before surgery and paperwork still not completed), forwarding orders for lab work and X-rays, forwarding paperwork to cardiologist and on and on and on...all of this within a span of 3 months. read more

Twice I tried to make an eye appointment and both times these people tell me "Oh it was cancelled" and "Oh we don't do that here". Highly recommend this office. The staff here is so good and on top of things that they make other offices look bad. We've been seeing Kay Roberts lately who always gives great service. He referred us to a vascular surgeon in Lancaster and that office didn't get back to me for 2 months. I tried calling 10 other surgeons and no one would return my call. One day on a non related matter I made an appointment for my daughter and Jennifer Sullivan was available. I didn't know they had a new doctor in the office. Turns out she's an angel. She took care of the reason we were there and then kindly looked through the chart and asked how the surgeon visit went. When I told her how I hadn't heard from a surgeon in 2 months she didn't let me leave. She contacted a surgeon at UCLA. Little did she know I was losing sleep and crying in desperation to find someone to take care of my daughter.Norma, Andy and Becky on different occasions helped me with records and what ever they could help me with. I'm sorry, I didn't get the names of the 2 ladies that sit in the front but they've always been kind too. My husband recently seen Otis and he's very good too. This office is very caring. Horrible staff .... I am a patient at Joshua Medical Group. I have had the most horrible experience with the people answering the phones at this practice. I have medications that I have to have or I will get sick, over the last three months I have had to call the office multiple times to get my medicine refilled. I get treated so rudely by this staff, I get put on hold for 15 to 20 minutes at a time, they speak to me as if I am inconveniencing them. I diligently took time to fill out all of their paperwork a week in advance showed up to my appointment today to see Otis and what a shocker, he was not in today! If my company ran in this fashion we'd be closed in a month. I'm starting to believe this is prevlant in the medical field, people drawing a pay check and could careless about customer care.
