I've been coming to Kerr Dentistry for a few years. My first visit was back in 2010, but I've had gaps in my care due to me being out of state. Despite these lapses, the staff here has always been eager to schedule my visits and get me taken care of. When I inquired as to the price for any of my visits, the quotes were always accurate and I never felt like the staff was trying to sell me on non-needed procedures and equipment.
My last visit was for a crown replacement while I was in Washington for only 10 days. Despite this limited time frame, I was able to be seen and received exceptional care. Dr. Iannielli was a pleasure to work with during the procedure and he made sure I was aware of what was taking place. Additionally, before he began he inquired as to how the anesthesia was working. When I told him there was still a small bit of feeling in my lip he personally administered more anesthesia to make sure that I experienced no pain. From personal experience, I can tell you that this one of the most important things for a dentist to do. In the past at other dental offices, the dentist has failed to inquire about this, leading a mid-procedure administration of anesthesia during which I was in excruciating pain. With Dr. Iannielli, however, this is completely avoided as he appears to put patient comfort first.
Outside of the procedure, I found the office to be relaxing and well kept. The waiting room is decorated with warm colors and has a modern feel to it. A pot of coffee is kept out for waiting patients, but I would definitely prefer they replace this with a Kurieg for on the spot fresh brewed goodness, it's one of those simple touches that I feel pays off in the customer service department. The actual procedure room is also well kept and clean with a massaging dental chair and TV. I never usually partake in watching TV, but it's a nice touch.
The one thing that has always frustrated me about Kerr Dentistry, however, is the warm cookies you receive during your first visit. I found this to be a pleasant surprise after my first cleaning when I was handed a box filled with fresh baked cookies along with a note to brush afterwards. It made the visit so enjoyable and I remember looking forward to these cookies during my next cleaning. Imagine my surprise when I finished up and the desk staff informed me that these cookies are only given on the first visit, not subsequent ones. With a heavy heart I left the office that day, the lingering smell of fresh baked cookies taunting me as I silently cursed the new patients who would leave with boxes of fresh baked deliciousness. So, while I give Kerr Dentistry and Dr. Iannelli a 5 star rating for my dental experience, I give them a personal 1 star rating for cookie disappointment. Hopefully they will improve this in the future so that future patients no longer feel the shock of cookie disappointment like I did. read more
