Thanks to Rothbauer Dental I'm sitting here enjoying my Saturday morning coffee w/o pain after I came down with severe pain on a tooth that previously had a botched root canal ( not done by Dr Ian) and would not let me sleep from Thursday to Friday I called 8:30 when they first opened and by 10:15 I was in chair being cared for by sweet Laurel and Dr Ian extracted that molar what gave us a slight heads headache But this dentist office with Staff is just amazing and I am so happy I switched to him after pandemic was over read more

This dentist let me down so unexpectedly. I don't know what exactly changed Ian Rothbauer, whether it was new staff, or the increase of his business. Butbhe went from a dentist who listened and cared, to one with no morals. And money driven. I went in on my lunch break just to have a tooth fixed. The next thing I know, they are doing a full exam with x rays. I told them that is bot what I'm here for, as I'm very limited on time. So they stopped. But I got charged anyway. No matter what. He no longer responds to emails or requests to talk. He's too busy. Too good for you now. EXTREMELY disheartening. read more

If you have any amount of dental anxiety PLEASE come see Ian. I've avoided dentist for over 10 years due to a botched root canal job . I haven't felt comfortable in a dentist office since . After one trip to Ian's office that all changed . The process to get checked in was easy. The staff--extremely warm and welcoming. From the front desk help to any of the assistants that stopped by everyone was knowledgeable, on the same page , but simultaneously were able to multiple tasks and handle multiple people all at once. Watching them move around with ease and organization really helps give you confidence about the people you are trusting to work on you. Ian himself is incredible . He was not rushed. He was funny and able to help me relax and I was able to get a cleaning , and a new crown in less than 2 hours . There was no being annoyed that he had to do this or that he had to explain something to me a few different ways . There was only assurance and digestible explanations so you don't have to sit there scratching your head at what they are telling you. The work I got here was the best work I think I could have gotten and i hope if you are late on your last cleaning or in any amount of hurt that you take the time out of your day and schedule an appointment with THIS office . As a military spouse who moves around frequently, I very rarely find medical care that makes me feel comfortable and known like a longtime patient the way Rothbauer Dental does. I have had my teeth cleaned by Michelle twice and she is lovely. She is kind and efficient. Both Michelle and Dr. Rothbauer have the good communication skills that I believe are foundational to providing good medical care, and I always leave feeling more equipped to take care of my teeth at home and make informed decisions about my dental care moving forward. The hygienist is great, one of the best I've ever had at any dental office! Unfortunately, when I first signed up, the front office tried to push a balance billing agreement on me. ALWAYS READ WHAT YOU SIGN. Balance billing is actually prohibited by my insurance company (that's the whole point of insurance), so they're technically violating their carriage contract with the insurance company by pulling this on people. I called and checked with my insurance company, they're not permitted to be doing this. To be fair, after I said I'd walk, they said they'd do the appointment without it, but the fact it even got to that point is ridiculous. FYI They also have some hefty fees for missing appointments, though at least those I can kinda understand given it's important to be respectful to people's time. On the other hand though, that's just a way for them to push more costs that'd typically be absorbed by their margins onto the customer. So dunno how I feel about that. I didn't have much interaction with the Doctor, but he seemed like a nice enough guy. Spoke very quickly, but since the hygienist already explained everything, it was no big deal. I appreciated that it didn't feel like he was pressuring me into an upsell. He did a good job of explaining the options and letting me make my own choice based on the pros/cons. So overall, kinda mixed visit. Mostly I'm annoyed they'd try pulling balance billing on people, most of who don't even know what balance billing is or why they should avoid it. Dentist Rothbauer is insensitive and has a lack of compassion. And he talks about himself a lot. And when I paid cash for a crown he said he would honor a10% discount and then when I was ready to pay I did not get the discount as promised. This type of behavior isn't professional... And when I said you promised to give me a discount I was told it can't be done now, as if they knew ahead of time they wouldn't just so they would get my cash money... My first review in 2019 (See below for my 2023 Review) Rothbauer Dental, is truly a five star Dentist Myself, My Wife and two Daughters had our teeth cleaned and our family had several cavities repaired. They treated my Children with utmost respect and care. My Wife said that it was the best dental experience she had ever had and my children left with smiles on their face. I think the Rothbauer team for their care and Professionalism and I recommend them to anyone who wants to make their dental visit a great experience. The facility was vary clean and they are going above and beyond on following the COVID-19 protocols. Update 2023 Skilled, adept, expert, proficient, friendly, loving, sympathetic, compassionate. Benevolent, helpful, warmhearted. These are all words that just touch the surface of the professionals at family owned and operated Rothbauer Dental. They don't have staff they have extended family! That family includes every one of their patients. I and my family started seeing Rothbauer Dental back in 2019 after retiring from the military and prior having to move around the country. During all those moves I truly wish I could have taken Rothbauer Dental with my family as we have seen many dentist and along that road I can say we have had few and far between dentist of the quality that Rothbauer Dental upholds. They don't only care for your teeth they care for their patients. They have worked with my family on every aspect of our care from dental work, appointments, emergency needs to dealing with delicate moments and emotions of my children. Yesterday was my first visit and it was just for a cleaning and basic checkup but I had my 2 year old daughter with me and I fully expected to have her sit in the room with me and just turn a show on for her but instead, the receptionist volunteered to hang out, play and color with her throughout my entire visit! Dr. Ian is amazing! I unfortunately had a chipped front tooth from a freakin peanut m&m from 2 years ago and that filling had been replace twice by my previous dentist in Texas bc it kept chipping and instead of just completely replacing he would just drill the filling part down making me two front teeth uneven. I am very vain about my smile. Masks or no masks, you only get one set of teeth. We are military & I had no idea where to start looking for a new dentist so I went on just reviews and I am not the least bit disappointed. Dr. Ian made my two front teeth even again, and completely redid my filling. I am an avid teeth whitener and you can't even tell where the filling is. My smile is perfect again, and I am so thankful. I am one of those nervous dental patients and I just started going to Dr. Rothbauer. From the moment I walked in the office I felt comfortable. Everyone is friendly, upbeat and informative. I was in for a toothache and Dr. Ian Rothbauer is so good with giving a shot of Novocain, I didn't even realize (until I was numb) that he had already given it to me. Once he had the opportunity to let me know what was going on, he gave me choices of what to do and I struggled with how I wanted to deal with this tooth but together we have a plan. I will continue coming to Dr Rothbauer and I am confident in recommending him and his office to everyone I talk to and to everyone that reads this .
