As a former patient from ten years ago, I was happy and content to have a consultation with Dr Kreul for a hip indent fat grafting. However, upon interaction he seemed cold, off and needless to say; no genuine thrilled from seeing a return patient (from ten years!)... In short, I felt body shamed; him stating I was too fat based on BMI- (liability), to be treated in his office. Mind you, I have no underlining conditions nor nothing imminent that will scream red flags. His way for me to "run" was to hit me a pricey 8k which included to be intubated at a Asante facility which means more fees. He's word's were contradicting he said you gained a significant lot of weight (No sh*t! I was 16O# ten years ago, plus I had 3 more kids). Followed by "there's no fat left"... um okay. so, am I fat or not fat enough, that part was frustrating to me since he seemed contradicting. (For the record, it's not my first rodeo in getting surgery, I've had at least a total of 4 different surgeries; tummy tuck from Dr Kreul breast augmentation with a lift and gastric bypass surgery both from Tijuana in two separate occasions, lastly, a BBL from Miami). If anything he judged me based on what the scale stating 211lb., keep in mind his scale doesn't distinguish how much is fat; let alone, how much is muscle. To which I informed him that and he agreed on. I see a Nutritionist on a monthly basis (one peak medical), and we're focusing on "bulking up" meaning increase my Protein, lean meats and low carb diet. Recently, I gained two pounds of muscle!! but how would Dr Kreul know if he judged me based on what his "scale"- no labs or condition for him to assess me on the spot. I don't think that was a fair judgement let alone assessment. His MA and front desk ladies that attended me were amazing and wonderful. Those two Latina ladies were genuine, friendly and made me felt welcome. The financial coordinator Kim, is cool but dry, no better way for me to say it, yet that may be due to her role as a financial coordinator/ office manager. In addition, as a visual learner and current MBA student; I've provided Kim, some insight onsite in regard to her misleading treatment plan. When it comes to presenting a treatment plan; the bottom line is and should be that.. the bottom line. No need to re highlight based on what was summarized above it's misleading. Whether she understood what I meant or not, not my concern but I was giving her an insight to which I'm sure other's would appreciate and may hesitate to ask. read more

Dr Kreul and all of his staff are so amazing! He gave me realistic goals as to what to expect from the tummy tuck I got. His work far exceeded my expectations! His entire office staff is so kind and easy to work with, from the first visit to all of the follow up visits. At the first meeting he had no emotion and not that friendly. We went back n forth about me not wanting a mammogram...the entire meeting was awkward and uncomfortable. A month later I got a call and they were confirming my mammogram? That I wasn't going to get and I felt pressured .. I ended up canceling and they returned my deposit. In December of 2018, I went in for tummy tuck and scar removal. I later was admitted into the hospital where I had a heart attach and organ failure. I had to be induced into a coma while emergency doctors preformed several life saving surgeries. I left the hospital in late January. Every couple days I had to be treated in wound care as I was left partially open in my mid section.. I later had to have skin graft a reversal of an ileostomy and lost some of my intestine but glad it could be repaired. In mid July 2020 I was admitted into OHSU (Great Dr.'s and care) to finally repair the damage and some of the disfigurement of my body. To current October 2022, I am left with a large scar from my ribs to my pelvic and across my pelvic across my body. I am Alive with No thanks to Brian Kreul. Highly Not recommended. read more

There is no question Dr. B is brilliant plastic surgeon, however, his policy and procedure which is not supported by Oregon law is in violation of your civil rights, the right of privacy. I was to have ambulatory surgery which required two very small incisions. I was told I needed a driver to take me back to my hotel room. I was prescribed several medications including oxycodone for pain. The night before surgery i was not to eat or drink anything and was required to wear a patch behind my ear. On the morning of surgery, I hired a taxi to my appointment. The medical assistant took me back to a room to get ready and then stated it was against the law for me to have a taxi pick me up and return me to my room. Then, refused to conduct the surgery. I spent two days hotel expenses, food, and gas plus had paid for medication and surgery in advance. Additionally, I walked back to my hotel dehydrated, under the influence of a patch that nauseated me, and exposed to high temperatures of heat. I was very sick after that. In essence their duty of care went out the window allowing me to walk 3 miles back to my hotel room dehydrated, dizzy and under the influence of a drug, however, they were CONCERNED about me getting picked up by a cab. smh. There is no Oregon Statute that supports the law the medical assistant advised me of. Civil Rights were violated as to my right to privacy in what happens once I leave their facility. Their actions were unwarranted, unjustified, negligent, and caused intentional infliction of emotional distress, and there was no purpose to do that to anyone. read more

I initially met Dr. Kreul in 13' he did a tummy tuck, lippo and breast augmentation (1) . The day after my left breast had a blood vessel erupt and fill with blood. I was told "this never harms to anyone!" I had to have surgery again (2). With a short time a breast implant wouldn't drop on my right side and again surgery (3) to repair that. Shortly after that the right had dropped so low the implant was in my ribs and made it difficult to bend over or breath. Again another surgery to repair it (4). Following that the breast the left hadn't fallen still (5) another surgery. Finally he suggested for an additional $4000.00 he would change my implants, put in mesh sides, do another lift and hope it would repair everything. I paid the money and did the surgery. I awoke in the middle of surgery and saw them working on me which caused me to have panic attack. After the surgery I complained of some pain in the right breast and advised Dr. Kruel I was thinking of a second opinion. He became very upset and offended and before I knew I had a letter (certificated) stating I was no longer his patient. Keep in mind I referred my sister and she had to be taken by hospital because she had an argumentation/left and her breast began bleeding and causing so much pain she had to take an ambulance to the hospital. He diagnose was by Kruel, the blood vessel erupted, he advised her that "this never happens to anyone!" Beware!!! read more

I had a breast lift and augmentation with lipo to my torso and love handles 5 weeks ago today. Per one of the other reviewers, yes he does have you bring in a picture, which I actually did prior to his request. In fact I emailed him like 15 photos, lol. If you're paying cash and wanting a new look, it'd be nice to give him a point of reference. My breast lift and augment was extremely quick healing and my scars are quite minimal. He gives you several techniques and instructions on how to reduce scarring too. The lipo, holy crap that's another story. It's absolutely not his fault it hurts like mother mercy.... though that tidbit wasn't shared... which I wish I knew how much pain I should've expected because goodness, no joke, I don't think I'd do it again and I'm hesitant to recommend it, lol. You have to massage your scar tissue twice a day, which to me is blindingly painful. The pain part aside, the results are awesome!!! I really do enjoy looking in the mirror and seeing the fat I couldn't get rid of for decades gone. Lipo isn't a cure-all. Many people I've talked to gain the weight back, you have to exercise and change your diet AFTER the surgery. You gaining fat back isn't the lack of skill of your doctor. I'm going to repeat that, after lipo, change your diet and lifestyle to maintain your results. Oh, and if you don't massage, you may run the risk of staying a wee bit "lumpy". His facility is clean, clean, clean and gorgeous. His staff is simply amazing. Parking, awesome. Payment acceptions, cool. Ease of booking, fantastic. Amount of pressure to book surgery, zero. Once I decided to have the work done I interviewed Jensen, which was kind of a joke... and Lovich, who was very good and recommended too. My friend got hers done at the same time by a different local doctor (mentioned here) and HATES her results. Her scarring is very thick, she dislikes the location and fullness, and he's charging her for a revision, even though she feels he didn't perform his surgery to what he told her to expect. The only issues I have are that I wish my breasts had been just a tiny bit smaller (which is mostly my fault since I told him what I wanted), and the pain level of the lipo. My scarring is very minimal. My location is awesome. The fullness is GREAT! lol I seriously can't lament on how ecstatic I am with the entire process. EVERYONE I know went to Brian Kreul. My nail tech, hairdresser, like 7 friends and several Clients. Brian is fabulous, patient, and knows wtf he's doing. Honestly, if you don't utilize his skill - YOURE CRAZY!! I will return for other needs if necessary, but will forever recommend him and his staff! read more

After 20 years with the same breast implants and 20 years of gravity, I stopped procrastinating and saw Dr. Kreul for a revision. He put new implants in and did a breast lift. It's been 6 months since surgery and I still love my result. Now I wonder why I procrastinated so long. They took such good care of me. From the very first time I stepped into his office for the consultation, and then every visit after, (which was weekly for 3 months) him and his entire staff have been truly amazing. He is professional, patient, and does incredible work. His staff is supportive and always friendly and kind. For the sheer amount of money that is spent I expect better customer service than what was received. The doctor does beautiful work but his staff's behavior leaves a lot to be desired, as well as the fact that you don't see him every appointment that is scheduled. His primary nurse makes it clear the days she doesn't want to be in the office and will burst into the room without a courtesy knock and will be extremely abrupt during the visit, as though you're inconveniencing her by making her do her job. The front desk, Rebecca and Anjelique (sp?) needs to go through a retraining because I have gotten better customer service at a busy McDonalds. They speak down to you constantly while giving the impression of superiority (...you work front desk, climb off your high horse) and that the doctor's time is somehow more valuable than yours. Even though you're the one spending an immense amount of money for his services. If you want quality work, he's definitely the one to go to. If you want quality work where you're made to feel like a valued patient, I'd highly recommend elsewhere. read more
