I try to stay out of doctors' offices but my dermatologist insisted that I needed to have further work done on a mole she had removed that came back atypical. So very, very, very r-e-l-u-c-t-a-n-t-l-y I duly reported for outpatient surgery this morning. Did I get a surprise. The check-in process was organized and efficient. I was collected from the waiting room 2 to 3 minutes after I sat down, which is a first in my experience. Yes! You read that correctly. I was NOT kept waiting for an hour. Erica, who is quite wonderful, took me to the sparkling clean room where the outpatient surgery was to be done. (The entire facility was sparkling clean, by the way.) She explained very clearly the next steps, which began to reassure me. Shortly after Dr, Herron came in, explained every step of the way what she would be doing next, and did it. Honestly,I didn't feel it when she administered the local anesthetic. I did not need to ask for more because she gave me the right amount to begin with. I didn't feel anything but light pressure as she conducted the surgery. I was surprised at how quickly she did the procedure. Before I knew it, she had bandaged me up, told me what to expect and what to do for the next 24 hours and then the next week. I was also given that information in writing, which was very helpful. Bottom line: Even though I had outpatient surgery, which required an incision this was the best experience I have ever had in a medical doctor's office. As the afternoon progressed, I did not experience any discomfort, much less pain. This is a very well organized, well-run medical practice. I highly recommend it. read more

ZERO STARS I called for my first appointment and was told I needed to lose 50 lbs in order for the doctor to even see me. I need a medically necessary breast reduction. She wanted a stable weight that will never be realistic. I am at my stable weight. I guess I wasn't good enough to stroke her ego. read more

Dr. Herron is very good at what she does. She is very meticulous and thorough, which is also accompanied by a very pleasant and kind personality. She is disarming and easy to engage with, and has proven in my multiple experiences that I can trust her to do her job to the very best of her abilities. It has been made very apparent throughout the care she has offered that she wants the best results possible for me, and for all of her patients. Beyond Dr. Herron herself, her staff is wonderful--always friendly, helpful and professional. The Elizabeth Institute facility is aesthetically lovely. It is a perfect blend of clean and modern mixed with warm and welcoming. I had a consultation with Dr Margaret Herron & had a horrible experience. Her bedside manners were nice but she wanted to do what she wanted not what I wanted. She didn't really even listen to what I had to say. She told me her plan of action for mastoplexy (breast lift) & augmentation. So I would have ended up being maybe a B cup. When I've always been at least a DD cup size. Not impressed with her at all. I've nursed 4 children for a total of 58 months. I knew I needed the lift but also wanted to be fuller. I am so glad that I had set up several consultations in Medford OR. I truly love the results that I got from Jensen Cosmetic surgery center. read more

Office is neatly kept. I was greeted warmly. Wait time was minimal. Dr. Herron' bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. She barely looked at me in the eye, no smile, didn't call me by name. I figured no big deal as long as her surgical skills are what I had heard, to be honest, any doctor could have done what she did. The surgical site is very noticeable because of the uneven healing. I am very disappointed, I had heard so many great things about her and her abilities, unfortunately I didn't personally experience any of it. Dr. Herron cares a lot about her patients and provides top-of-the-line medical care. I've been very small chested my entire life and have always thought about getting implants, but after I was done having children. The time came and I'm so grateful I found Dr. Herron. She was easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, and walked me through the entire process from start to finish. Total waste of money. I wanted fillers for the wrinkles around my mouth, particularly, around the corners and below my mouth. I made a point of telling the doctor that I did not want "big lips". Well, guess what? I got big lips and the wrinkles at the corner of my mouth were left only partially filled. May as well not bothered. This doctor has her mind made up, and didn't care about my opinion. When I returned for a follow up visit, I fully expected her to offer to redo the wrinkles around my mouth, as she could clearly see they looked untouched. She didn't. This whole episode has caused me much distress and anxiety. I would never return to this doctor for any procedure. read more
