Brian's shop is a freaking candy store for shooting sports enthusiasts. He has, or can get, anything legal in California. When I went in to buy some ammunition, on a whim I inquired if he had any "nice 1911's I can look at." He walks over to his safe and pulls out an unassuming white box. In it is a brand new Springfield Armory 1911 TRP Operator with the full rail. This is a very rare find anywhere, but especially in stock at a local dealer's shop. I bought it on the spot and I'm happy to say the process itself also exceeded my expectations. The coolest part about Brian's store is that, because it's appointment-only, Brian is totally focused on YOU during your visit. It makes the purchasing process so much easier when the owner/expert is answering your questions instead of a normal retail salesperson. My wife and I purchased our first guns here. The owner of the store is incredibly friendly and honest. He gave us all the information without any sneaky moves or shenanigans, and he took his time to explain his thoughts on guns that would suit us, how much they cost and why, and basically any question that popped into our heads. I took my gun safety written test there too (I passed), and he took the time after to explain the answers to the questions I got wrong (the questions were regarding ages you can have a handgun in California and one other similar to that). He even showed me how to disassemble my gun and lubricated it for me free of charge. He genuinely wants people to be responsible and safe gun owners who are informed on gun owmership. On top of all that, he was a cool guy to talk to about regular conversation stuff for the 2 or so cumulative hours we spent there.
