There is actually 2 different courses here here. As you come in to the right is the tradwoods, but to get to the more open(and easier) tradewinds is to the left. It's a beautiful park and it starts with a gentle easy first hole. After that par three to the edge the woods it goes up and back along the side of the lake. Even though those first 8 or 9 holes are along the ater it rarely comes into play. The back 9 slowly works its way into a few holes in woods. It's mostly open holes but even when in the woods its not too difficult. In the end last weekend was one of my best rounds of late. i would like to take credit but I think it's in part to the easier course. I'll take it, and be back soon enough!

One of the best "wide open" courses in south Florida…read more I was here again just the other weekend. A group of friends and I did the whole 18 holes. It was a perfect day, if not a little hot. But thats everyday these days in Florida. The course is well taken care of. It's a city park with plenty of other activities going on from cookouts to people jogging to playground stuff. As courses go its got a wide open layout. You can see the hole/basket from the tee box. With the wide open spaces its a very tough course to lose a disc(unless you throw it in the water). Which I did, on the 4th hole. They have 3 water holes and I found the water on one of them. The good news is it was a floating frisbee so I got it back 30 minutes later when it floated into shore. Plantation is definitely one of the better courses in south Florida. It's nice to be on one and feel like you won't lose a disc

A well kept course, and fun to play…read more I hadn't played Markham before, but I've wanted to since I first saw it years ago while driving through Markham. I was there for a bike thing, but I made note it was there Last week I was to play with some friends and I said let's make the trek out west to Markham. It's always fun to try a new course. we got there at the early hour of 830. Plenty of people in line to get in, but most were for off-road biking. When we got to the course(far back right) there was only one more group starting off. After a couple warm ups we were were off. A couple water holes early but that was it for the agua. After that there were other tough holes in woods, but the back 9 was mostly open. The course had a nice layout, it never overlapped itself like I've seen a couple times lately. There were a few holes that gave a chance at a birdie for us amateurs which is always a plus. We all ended with decent scores, and the we could definitely do better on the next time. We will have to make it back soon to see if we can actually back that up.

Friendly disc golfers too. We left a disc at a hole and they put it on our car for us when we got back. Found a disc and texted the guy, but he had gone home to Illinois and said we could keep it. NO SWEATING TODAY…read more.. Took some quiet time in Loggers Run Park today. Definitely a park with a strong soccer influence. An open soccer field and a covered soccer field. Not sure why they had two portapottys in front of the gender assigned bathroom gazebo. We watched a guy practicing soccer on the open field. Thought I found a good fishing spot at the front canal, but as I got closer I noticed an alligator warning sign. It was green and murky so perfect place for a gator attack. (See Pic). The Loggers Run Pavilion can be rented out by scanning the QR Code. During a picnic the kids can play on the nearby jungle gym. Love these parks during the day when not packed.

There is a pavilion and there was a party going on there. There are also massive soccer fields. But that's about it. No trees or trails or anything. I left after about five minutes because I was bored. But if you're looking for a place to have an outdoor party or play soccer, then this is the park for you.

The Lions Club, a civic organization in Deerfield Beach was formed in 1947. Their first project was…read morethe creation of Pioneer Park on the banks of the Hillsboro Canal. To raise money for the project they had chicken and rib barbecues. These fundraisers were so popular with the community that they have turned into an annual celebration in Deerfield Beach called Founders Day. The Lions Cklub cleared the area for a park and added a baseball diamond, barbecue pit, and picnic area for the community to enjoy. Today the park also has a playground, 180 foot fishing dock, and six lighted tennis courts. The boat launch allows you to enter the Hillsboro Canal and out into the Atlantic Ocean. If you are looking to engage in team sports, water sports, or just need somewhere safe to take the kids to play, this park is your answer.

This Country Club has pickle ball courts…read more Got to come here to support a couple of friends in a pickleball tournament and it was probably one of the better organized tournaments I've been to. I like this venue a lot because it had great facilities including a bathroom close by and their set up was efficient. For parking, there is a lot super close by & quick walk away from the pickleball courts and golf course. Overall, great venue for pickleball tournaments!

I recently purchased a round of golf for my brother and his wife, and the experience was extremely…read moredisappointing. After checking in, the staff loaded their golf bags, helped get their kids into the cart, and sent them off toward the first hole. Once they arrived at hole one, a ranger suddenly informed them that the pro shop wouldn't allow them to play because they had their two kids with them -- a rule that was never mentioned during booking or at check-in. We've tried calling the course multiple times to request a refund, but the staff has been unhelpful and, frankly, unprofessional during every attempt. No service was provided, yet they refused to issue a refund. Very poor communication and customer service. I would not recommend this course to anyone
