Hands down the best doctor I have ever been to!! I have been to him a few times now and each time he is on time and very thorough on explaining what is going on and then after treatment he always asks what else he can check!!! Was a new patient to Dr. Troy, in September 2022. My appointment was no more than 20 minutes; at that time, several age-related barnacles were burned off. My concern was an unusual dark mole with a black hole. His attitude was cavalier and I suspect I was another invisible senior with skin abnormalities. Several months later, I was finally seen by a board-certified dermatologist. The mole had returned, was biopsied and now a follow-up surgery is scheduled for removal. A mystery to me how this doctor got any got positive reviews. Brought my teenage daughter in for acne outbreak. He stood in the doorway the whole time and never got close to doing any kind of examination. Pretty much just looked at her from afar. Not personable, and failed to acknowledge me even though I had never met him before. Entire visit lasted approximately a minute and a half, in which he changed the previous medication he had prescribed. Knowing his words are more important than mine with my daughter, I tried to prompt him to perhaps offer some kind of advice on dealing with acne (don't touch face, minimize applying make-up, facial washes....etc) but absolutely no advice giving. Barely even looked at her. Trust me, people, you can do much better than Dr. Toy. read more

Do not recommend Dr. Toy at all. Waited quite awhile after my scheduled appointment to be seen. When I was seen it was rushed. Dr. seemed annoyed with explaining questions and like he had better things to do. Did not seem to care about calming fears I had. Made one treatment on my face and despite assuring me there would not be a scar, I now have a scar on my face. Only reason I gave 2 scars is because his office staff is excellent. read more

Dr. Toy was referred to us by our old dermatologist's P.A. believe it or not and he is fantastic. My 16 year old was suffering from terrible acne for about 1 year. He was prescribed high dosage antibiotics and higher dosage topical for months with no results. Finally, the PA suggested Brian Toy and we have found the best MD for our son. Within a a month to 6 weeks, his acne began to clear up and after 4 months completely gone. My visit with Dr. Toy was delightful and he is exactly what I was seeking in a new dermatologist. He listened, gave advice, explained my options and walked me through some of the procedures that I was considering. He did not try to "up sell"me on extreme procedures or Rxs. In fact, he gave me a bunch of samples so that we could determine what works best before spending $100+ on a retinol cream. The office staff was pleasant and helped me get a next-day appointment (due to a cancellation). Another thing that I love is that Dr. Toy takes his first patient at 8:00am, so I can get in early and not have to delay my morning meetings for a visit. Did I mention that in my case he combined OTC products with high-end Rxs, which I think is pretty cool - no need to spend $50+ on a cleanser when it only stays on your face for seconds. read more

Dr. Toy continues to be a great dermatologist for our family. He is caring, professional and intelligent. He always explains and answers all my questions regarding my child and her skin conditions. The office staff could not have been nicer! Instead of telling us we needed to wait for a time, they told us we could come down right away.
