Dr. Hure is the real deal. She doesn't solicit her patients to write reviews because she doesn't have to. She is just really excellent at what she does. So many other doctors rely on their employees or influencers for their reviews, but not this doc. A long time ago I had a horrible experience with one of those phony doctors who has zero skill but pays his employees to write reviews for him and I ended up with bruises, lumps and facial numbness. I've never been asked to write a review for this doctor but I'm happy to write one because I'm thrilled with my results. I've been multiple times for wrinkle treatment and lip filler and I've literally never had more than the tiniest pin point bruise. And she gets amazing results with a very small amount of filler. Got me in quickly as a first time patient for a concerning skin lesion, was honest about her considerations and when results would be back (only a few days) and only biopsied what was needed, after a thorough exam. It was the bottom of my foot so really tough to walk afterwards (as she explained) and she gave me excellent options to minimize the pain and prevent infection. Firstly, I'd like to commend the appointment system and the responsiveness. As someone with mild social anxiety I love the idea of scheduling an appointment not through the phone, but through an email. Secondly, the measures that were taken against COVID are really the standard that should be taken everywhere. The staff wore a really tight protective suit, my temperature was measured, and the place had a big air filter (?) working. Dr. Huru was excellent. She really listened to all my whims and didn't make me feel like anything was too small of a concern. She was extremely details oriented, compassionated, and personable. She knew exactly what could be the cause of my problems and gave an advice accordingly. At the end of the meeting the nurse handed me a note that contains a summery of what was discussed in the meeting which is extremely helpful since I forget everything! Lol I cannot recommend enough skin lab and Dr. Huru! It felt more medically oriented than the casual esthetic practice and it is exactly what I was looking for. read more

I am giving this business a single star because of their billing practices. The doctor was fine, but they did not hold up their end on what I got charged. Before I even made my appointment, I requested to know exactly what I would have to pay. The office lady told me a fee, even after I asked her to make sure. My appointment was in April of 2021. 10 months later I received notice that I will be charged nearly twice as much. I have no control because they charged my 'card on file'. They don't even have the courtesy to return my multiple phone calls to the office. read more

I have been suffering from pretty significant scarring, volume loss and atrophy due to a horrific laser procedure-gone-bad I had done elsewhere a few years ago and Dr. Hure is the first dermatologist to not just give me hope but be honest with me along the way also. Per her recommendation, I had a dermapen treatment for my laser scarring as well as filler to give my face back some of the volume it had lost from the laser. She truly cares and has followed up with me multiple times regarding my healing process (which has been a total walk in the park!!). I also have NEVER had such minimal swelling after filler and that is because she is so gentle and cautious when injecting patients. I am so thrilled she is my new dermatologist and I will be sure to have my surfer husband see her soon to get his skin checked for any suspicious moles since he is always in the sun. Basically, Dr. Hure is awesome! She is super personable and extremely knowledgeable. I love the fact that she is a legitimate dermatologist (a true MEDICAL professional) who also specializes in dermatopathogy yet is savvy when it comes to the fact that women want to look younger and feel their best. I feel like finding a dermatologist who can diagnose and effectively treat rare or complex skin conditions AND deliver real results with the more cosmetic procedures such as filler or skin resurfacing is very hard to find in So. I've been suffering from cystic type acne and general hormonal breakouts for more than a year and I've not found any medical relief until I met with Dr. Hure. I'm was so impressed that she asked lifestyle and diet related questions as part of the consideration to tailor my acne regimen. Her "less is more" attitude toward skincare is a blessing because it's a routine I can manage on a daily basis with actual results. This progress was the inspiration I needed to talk to her about my next big concern... I stopped wearing lip products many years ago as to not accentuate the deep vertical lip lines that have saddened me over the time. When I finally decided to ask Dr. Hure questions about my options I could have kicked myself for not asking sooner. Again she took the time to find out what result I was seeking in order to choose the right cosmetic filler. I was terrified that I would end up with duck lips, but she assured me that both product and placement choice would ensure that wouldn't happen. During the procedure I watched Dr. Hure analyzing each injection and even take a step back to look at me from various angles. When done, I could already see that my lips and the deep vertical lip lines looked great. I can't express in words how awestruck I was when she finished the procedure or how that feeling grew as the weeks went on. The day after the procedure I purchased several new lipsticks and haven't looked back. The look is so natural that all of the compliments have been actually been about the new lipstick! Overall I can honestly say that Dr. Hure has an eye for detail no matter the reason for the visit and I love, love, love that she isn't pushy with her procedures or products. She's only ever recommended either when I've asked. I feel confident that I won't be sold overpriced under-performing products. Dr. Hure is such a gift to the medical profession. My husband had a painful spot/sore on the edge of his ear for well over a year. He went to his doctor who referred him to a dermatologist who required him to see their nurse practitioner. After a biopsy and a clear read and no treatment plan but an open sore and much pain and many months, we went to see Dr. Hure.
