If All State's Taylor Family Agency's number one job is to make sure their customers are "in good…read morehands," I can assure you that they've failed miserably. Giving them ONE STAR is being nice. I insured my home with All State for the last 5 years. As expected, premiums go up every year due to home value going up and construction costs, etc. But it is a little ridiculous that my premium DOUBLED from year 1 to year 5. So this year when I received my renewal notice, I decided that I'd had it. I started shopping around. Now, I gave the Taylor Family Agency a chance to provide service to me, because as the renewal letter indicated, it is their job to make sure that I'm "in good hands." I reached out to Sharday Rhodes and asked if there's anything they can do to help reduce my insurance premium (i.e. any discounts I may qualify). She wrote back saying she would see what they can do. A week later, I heard nothing back. On day 8, I sent another email following up on my original request. Still NOTHING. Mind you, I was shopping around. I did my homework and did research on home insurance policies and endorsements. I was able to up my coverage, with additional endorsements for a much, much more reasonable premium (not the cheapest policy I found, but factoring everything in, an excellent insurance provision). Not only did I find a better policy, my new insurance agent WORKED to make sure my questions were answered and gave me options and cost comparisons for the additional coverage I wanted. My new insurance agent was responding to my emails at night and on a Saturday, and I definitely do not expect normal businesses to respond during off hours. If the Taylor Family Agency ignores me when I need customer service on a policy renewal, I can't imagine what kind of service I would receive if, god forbid, my house burns down. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ALL STATE'S TAYLOR FAMILY AGENCY.
