Title: Customer for 41 Years Treated with Total Disrespect - Switched to Progressive and Saved $1,700+ I have been a loyal State Farm customer since 1985--spanning 41 years. The minimal interactions I recently had with Brian and his staff were undoubtedly the worst customer service experiences of my entire history with the company. One of our auto policies spiked by 20%. I emailed Brian regarding what I believed was a consumer report error that State Farm received. Instead of handling it, he passed my request to an employee. I provided this employee with a specific list of questions to ask the underwriter. When we spoke again, she admitted she had only asked a single question because she forgot to write the others down. She agreed to record my questions properly and contact the underwriter a second time. Two days later, after I sent a follow-up email to Brian, he simply forwarded my request right back to the same employee. When I asked for an update, she became verbally aggressive. After a few minutes of rambling, she admitted she had lost the "sticky notes" containing my questions and was unable to follow up with th other questions. I immediately asked to speak with Brian, but as usual, he was out of the office. I ended up speaking with the office manager to try and get my answers. I have not received a call back from her, It's been 3 days. During this ordeal, I requested twice through two different employees for Brian to call me directly. He never has. This has been 4 days with no call from him. Consumers need to know that your local agent is the only person who can communicate with an underwriter about your polices. Corporate customer care cannot help you bypass a local agent's incompetence. Because of this total lack of professionalism, I moved our 3 vehicles, 2 motorcycles, and home insurance over to Progressive. By switching, our annual premium dropped from $4,600 down to $2,837. After four decades of loyalty, Brian's office lost all of our business over lost sticky notes and a complete refusal to return a phone call. Avoid this agency. As a added note I had to call State Farm customer care to cancel my polices. Customer care does not make it easy to cancel without contacting your agent, hard to do when they don't return your call. read more

Greetings from agents gave us ambiguous feeling. Agent who helped us is seating at left from the entrance, was pleasant. Quoted rate came out very high, ended up choosing other insurance company for better coverage and lower rate. We were wonder the rate came out that way maybe we just moved and gullible appearances??? Way to much to put in here I was with them for almost two years this place is gonna mess with u an not explain anything in Laymans terms and God for bid you get that guy I believe his name is Gustavo because he talks a mile a minute and is hard to keep up with one thing I learned with him if you stay quiet he will literally repeat himself four times in one minute flat an leave u more confused than when u called so I switched to nationwide and saved nearly $200 a month for the same exact coverage an I never got to speak to my Agent The whole time not even when someone backed into my truck. Also whenever I spoke to corporate and have them email him to call me the next day which was on six occasions he never did even when I was attempting to cancel my coverage and the agent told me he was going to email my agent with a call ASAP header never received a call an got charged a extra day of coverage that I no longer wanted because Brian is flakier than pie crust , save ur money go anywhere else read more

On February 6th, 2018, I pulled all of my business and personal insurance policies from: Brian Strain, 50 NV-160, Pahrump NV REASON = On Monday, January 5th, my car would not run, therefore I needed to have it towed in to the dealer. I wanted to know what the State Farm procedure was in regards to this the process and who was their preferred towing company. I started calling Brian's office starting around 11 am and every 1/2 hour after that. All I got was a recorded message that stated that all three girls in the office were busy and that they would call back ASAP - They never did. By 4 in the afternoon I was quite upset and called the Joe Sladek II, another State Farm Agent in Pahrump. They immediately answered my call and gave me complete and thorough information so that I could proceed to have my car towed to the dealer. I then called Brian's office and got another recorded message. I stated (to the recording) that I was going to transfer my policies over to Joe Sladek because of their non responsiveness. Less than a half-hour later, Brian Strain personally called me and asked how he could be of service - all fuzzy and warm-like. I told him that no one had the common courtesy to even respond to my numerous calls -- therefore I was transferring my policies over to Joe Sladek II. Brian stated that the office was very busy that day. To which I responded that my wife had called the previous week with a simple question and no one bothered to get back to her until three days later. With that, Brian became quite upset, raising his voice to a high pitch and finally saying, and I quote exactly: #@%& Off !!!". After which he instantly hung up. Sincerely, Gerald M. Got my car into a wreck and immediately called Brian, my insurance agent. I talked with a rather lovely woman who was willing to work with me until Brian stepped in and began screaming in tantrums. He began by saying we were scamming him but when we showed the contracts showing we had insurance he was even more angry. The funny thing about this is Brian was always smiling when he was selling us insurance. But when I had the accident and I wanted to gain the insurance to relieve the burden of having to spend a lot of money on damages he suddenly became an angry man. After half a day's worth of back and forth arguing, I called a lawyer and he shut up and signed necessary documents to give us the insurance money. After that, never again would I talk to Brian.
