On August 26, my Husband took our payment checks into the Bank of America here in Pahrump, NV. They gave him back receipts for each account with a stamp on the back confirming the payment. I received a notice from B of A yesterday that I had not paid my bill. I went through unbelievable lengths to get through to the Bank of America. I finally DID find out, when looking at the stamp on the back of the receipt, that they had placed my money is someone else's account. I was told they would do 'research' on it and get back to me in 7 - 10 days. I was also advised to cancel the check but the check has already been cashed by the B of A. When you go in to make a payment on your Bank of America Credit card, please make look at the stamp on the back of the receipt and make sure it matches your credit card number. My Husband went to the B of A to straighten things out. The manager told him it was his fault for not looking closely at the stamp on the back of the receipt to make sure it was correct. Unbelievable!
