This is a locally, independently operated business and that truly shows. From the moment I called to inquire about an appointment I was very impressed with the staff. The receptionists were so very helpful, and they even had me speak with a technician to troubleshoot how emergent my issue was. They got me an appointment in a timely manner. On the day of my visit every one in the practice was wonderful. I was very impressed with Dr Howard! He took a reasonable yet efficient amount of time and had great "bedside" manner. Wait time prior to appointment was also reasonable. Now that I have visited here I wouldn't go anywhere else!

Before going in I called and gave them my VSP-Plus eye insurance information, and they also asked for my medical insurance which I provided to them Cigna. After the exam I was told that my eye glass insurance was very good and I proceeded to pick out new frames. The amount I was told that would be my copay was: 299.20 which I did pay that day. I was told the glasses would be ready in about 2 weeks. I picked up my glasses and was having issues seeing so I reached back out and asked if I could be rechecked to see if something was wrong. On May 13th I received a text message stating I owed $!95.90. I called and spoke to whomever answered and was told that this was for what was not covered under my insurance. I told them I did not understand since I had already paid 299.90 and she stated we don't know until we hear back from your insurance. I was upset I had glasses I could not use and another bill bringing my total to$ 495.10! When I went back in to have the glasses checked and my eyes I asked the person at the desk if I could speak to someone and she looked at it and said I will need to ask my office manager. She returned and said she will reach out to your insurance and let you know. I have the VSP Vision Benefit statement and showed this to both of them. It states Total Billed: 1103.00-Total amount paid: $305.25 and my amount owed: 140.00 total savings 657.75. They did not bill VSP for my eye exam that would have been a 10.00 co pay or the refraction that would have been a 20.00 co pay they sent these to Cigna. I also have a 39.99-dollar fee on the original 299.20 for a one-year warranty that I was not made aware of or have any information on. I have tried to reach out to the Office manager leaving a message last week but no response. I have overpaid by a lot, and they did not bill my insurance correctly and they participate in the VSP.
