However, there were a couple of minor things that happened over the course of the year, like a leak developing in the sprinkler system. Whenever these came up, Walt was always right there and addressed the issue quickly and professionally. I went month to month after the lease ended, and the owner soon decided to sell the house. This resulted in my being asked to move out on short notice, which I did. A month passed after vacating and the home owner still had not returned my deposit, this is where Walt really stood up and separated himself from the competition. Walt refunded my deposit out of his own funds once it became apparent that the home owner as not in any particular hurry to return my deposit.
