The location is great, the rent was reasonable compared to other places nearby, our neighbors were friendly, and we never had any issues with bugs or pests. That said, the apartment itself needed much more upkeep than we expected. It felt like it had received a lot of "landlord special" fixes, with layers of paint over everything instead of proper repairs. During our time here, both toilets, the kitchen sink, and the washer and dryer all had issues. Thankfully my husband is handy and was able to repair most of them himself because maintenance fixes often only lasted a day or two before the same problem came back. Other frustrations included water that rarely got truly hot, an AC unit that struggled to keep the apartment cool, and baseboards and other finishes that were clearly worn down and in need of replacement rather than another coat of paint. We also only had one assigned parking spot, and it wasn't even close to our unit, which became inconvenient. One feature we did appreciate was that the community is gated. There are several newer apartment complexes nearby that are not gated, and we frequently heard car alarms at night and saw reports of vehicle break-ins in the surrounding area. The gated access definitely gave us some added peace of mind and was one of the reasons we initially felt this property offered good value. The biggest disappointment came at lease renewal. After being reliable tenants for a year, our rent was increased. While rent increases are common, it made it difficult to justify staying in a unit with so many maintenance and quality issues when there are brand-new apartment communities nearby offering modern amenities for a very similar price. Since we're planning to buy a house soon, we decided to go month-to-month for some flexibility, but the month-to-month rate increased our rent even more. At that point, there was very little incentive to continue paying more for a unit that still had the same unresolved issues. Overall, I don't regret living here because the location, neighbors, and gated community were all positives. However, the recurring maintenance problems, aging condition of the unit, and higher renewal pricing ultimately outweighed those benefits. I wanted to love living here, but I just couldn't. With more attention to long-term maintenance and better incentives for existing tenants, this could be a great place to call home.

We got to see the amenities, the pools, the gym, the doggie was spot, the parking structure, and the lil market and the activities they have for their tenants. It's nice that they even have elevators to make moving in easier! We didn't get to actually tour a single unit unfortunately; which was a disappointing but we got to see a "video" of the floor plans. It's a weird method but it's one of our top choices. Still... we would love to see it in person though. That's what sells it to the customer... seeing ourselves in the units.

For the price I paid, I expected higher-quality construction, better maintenance, and more responsive management. Unfortunately, there were ongoing issues with the unit that were never properly addressed. I frequently dealt with ants inside the apartment due to visible gaps and poor sealing in the wallboards, which is unacceptable for a so‑called luxury complex, especially considering I kept the apartment very clean. My upstairs neighbors were consistently noisy, often late at night, and the office did not help me resolve the situation despite multiple complaints. Additionally, residents were offered incentives to leave positive reviews, which makes it hard to trust the overall ratings. Communication from the office overall was frustrating, as responses were slow or nonexistent when concerns were raised. They did not pick up my phone calls many times. When I moved out, communication was especially poor. One staff member told me that if I moved out earlier than my lease ending date, my rent could be prorated and refunded, so I planned around that information. Later, she corrected herself and said that was not true. Mistakes like that should not be happening, especially at a luxury property. When I moved out, I was charged a cleaning fee, which felt unfair given that I had hired my own cleaning services before returning the apartment over. In another review, you can see that they charge residents for similar move‑out items. This is concerning, especially since in California, properties are not supposed to charge tenants for normal wear and tear. Being charged a cleaning fee under these circumstances felt unreasonable with what renters should expect. Beware! Management Ignores Habitability Issues & Safety Concerns…read more We lived here for almost five years and faced constant issues that management never properly addressed. Despite keeping our unit clean, we had recurrent roach infestations and even after pest control would come, the issue persisted. When addressing it with management, we were often blamed for the problem (they told us maintenance had seen a few dishes in our sink from time to time) even though the the infestation came from structural issues in the unit. There are gaps in the foundation under the kitchen cabinets, making it easy for pests to enter. The sliding door was also never properly secured, and during rainy weather, water would often come into the unit through the frame. We also experienced smoke (although a smoke-free complex) and unsafe conditions from neighbors, which management never properly addressed claiming that our complaints weren't "official enough." When we tried to move out one month early due to health and safety concerns (we have a toddler and the neighbors were smoking inside their unit which then flooded into our unit through the shared ventilation system), we were dismissed and still had to pay that last months rent even though we moved to a new place for safety. After paying rent for that place even though we didn't live there that whole last month, we found out that the neighbors that ultimately caused our move had been evicted. They knew the whole time that there were complaints being made from several of our other neighbors, but decided to charge us that last month anyway. On top of all of this, billing issues with shared utilities were poorly handled. We paid a set price for three years for our water/trash/sewer, and suddenly our bill nearly tripled after our neighbors apartment flooded. When I addressed the issue with management, they gave us a load of crap about how rates were going up in our area--but I truly feel like we were charged for what happened with her unit. As a little added cherry on top, we just got our deposit back recently and saw that for the month we DIDN'T even live in the unit, our utility bill was DOUBLE that of the previous month. It makes zero sense and yet we were offered zero explanation. Overall, this complex does not respond to habitability issues, safety concerns, or pest problems, and management can be very dismissive and unhelpful. They seem to have new people in the office every few months, and would somehow lose our existing work orders in the process. We would NOT recommend renting here.

A stray animal has been living on the property for at least two years, and it's not up to date on vaccinations. Nowhere in our lease did it say it included a community dog that isn't vaccinated. Management does nothing about this either! Bernie seems clueless and constantly lost. Whenever you bring up an issue to him, he appears distracted or spaced out. Honestly, you'd be better off living elsewhere.
