My fiancé and I attended a special event at Helzberg on July 9, 2026 with the intention of creating and purchasing a wedding band. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome and judged. When we walked into the store, we were not greeted warmly. The first employe, a thin blonde late 20s early 30s, seemed hesitant to assist us and quickly passed us off to another salesperson. From the start, the second associate's, middle aged brunette, demeanor was cold and uninviting. Her first questions were, "Why are you here?" and "Who invited you?" rather than welcoming us or asking how she could help. She then took us to the customized wedding band display area. Instead of showing us any rings, she repeatedly asked what we were looking for and immediately stated that the lowest-priced options were around $2,000 plus diamonds. She asked about our budget, and when we told her it was $5,000, we were already felt turned off by her attitude and the impression that she had made assumptions about what we could or could not afford. Despite discussing our interest in wedding bands, she never once offered to open the display case or show us any of the rings in person. What made this experience even more frustrating is that my fiancé specifically designed my engagement ring at this Helzberg location, and many of the regular sales associates know him and have always treated us well. At that point, we decided not to continue shopping and simply requested a cleaning for my engagement ring. After I removed my ring and handed it to her, she complimented it and suddenly became interested in showing us wedding bands. She began pulling out rings and trying to sell us options--but only after seeing the engagement ring I was wearing. This behavior felt incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. We should have been treated with the same level of courtesy and attention from the moment we walked in, regardless of what we were wearing or what assumptions were made about our spending ability. Being ignored, judged, and then treated differently after revealing my engagement ring was completely unacceptable. We came in excited to create a wedding band and celebrate an important milestone. We like to visit diamond stores in malls largely because Barbi likes to tell people that I'm shopping for an engagement ring for her (I'm not, I've never told her I am, she's just a bad girl and it's her way of telling me to get her one I think). We actually go to the mall once or twice a month (different malls) and walk around for 3-5 hrs and visit basically all the stores, and this was our day in Friendswood doing just that at Baybrook. So this one, it was essentially your typical Mall diamond store with kind of high prices, but with the little benefit of it being somewhere that Barbie likes to go and window shop (and flirt with associates as usual), and look really good when she's here doing it as well. She's only bought anything from Helzberg once, despite visiting many locations many times, because she prefers knock-off jewelry, because it looks the same and cost a lot less. But generally speaking we're definitely fans of this expensive mall diamond store. If you want deals, you don't go to a mall diamond store anyway. read more

Went in for an anklet and bracelet. Carlos is the guy who convinced us to purchase a chain and have it made into an anklet and bracelet instead of buying them outright. The kid did not offer a care protection plan as he exclaimed he did (but would not matter if you alter the pieces you buy) but the pieces we created broke two days after wearing them, with minimal activity. The chain is faceted and the pieces won't stop picking up fuzz and hairs along with ripping my hair out. The jeweler should have known that the chain was not a good every day fit (what I asked for) if it was going to catch on so much and be uncomfortable to wear. He knew nothing about what he was selling except that it was "shiny" and that's "good". He measured my pieces and they came back incorrectly sized for me. Broke less than two full days after wearing. The lady (was told she was assistant store manager, older, bright blonde hair) stood there and whispered with the kid who sold us the pieces-they seriously whispered about us in front of my face-unprofessionally, RIGHT after she tried to shame me for wearing the anklet with jeans, less than three feet from me and could not produce a solution to help me. They are repairing the clasp on the anklet that broke and returning it to me. They will not offer any kind of exchange or refund for his poor judgements and because the sales kid suggested and convinced us to create the pieces instead of buying them outright like we wanted, they won't do anything to right the situation because it was customized when bought. BEWARE, as this seems to be a tactic so that they can complete their sales without any consequences and make money regardless. Sounds like a lot of effort when we could have just bought two separate pieces. Almost $1,000 for these pieces and they refused to do anything-at this point I can only assume it's because they don't respect smaller purchases made in their store. DO NOT PURCHASE HERE. YOU ARE A DOLLAR SIGN TO THEM-once you buy, they're extremely rude and they do not care about you. First and last time buying from this specific company. Real garbage place with garbage people. read more

Do not leave your jewelry with them (Baybrook Mall location in Friendswood, TX). I took in my gold ring for a routine cleaning. When I picked it up, the ring felt a lot lighter and the gold started to lose its luster. I had gotten it appraised before and was certified of its authenticity, but when I had it re-appraised after picking it up from Helzberg, I was told it wasn't the same ring. I have waited to write this review for many reasons. Here goes. I walked in with my husband with the intention of only showing him all the pretty rings. Then we met Carlos. He charmed my husband (thank you Carlos). My husband was sold on making my dreams of purchasing me a new wedding ring. We had just celebrated our 23rd anniversary and we got married young so he couldn't buy me a Ring himself. So this was extra meaningful to me. So much so that Carlos had to hand me a tissue as we looked for the perfect ring. Carlos was very considerate to our budget and felt it was important to include his partner Stephanie. I had a team!! They made my experience magical. Stephanie guided me through the process of picking the perfect stone. She placed an order for four diamonds that I would later come back and choose the perfect fit for ME. I had no idea how this process was going to go. Oh how amazing it was. When I came back to pick my Diamond I was taken to a room where Carlos explained the ins and outs of a Diamond. I never knew this was a thing. We had a light show with each Diamond. I feel in love and picked my perfect Diamond. Carlos advised me that the jewelry would work on it and then they would contact me when it was ready. He asked me if we had a time frame and we said no. We wanted it perfect. So we set a date. The day before the date Stephanie reached out and ASKED if the jewelry could have a couple of more days as he needed to upgrade the head. I told her that would be okay but by now the anticipation has sat in. She and I cracked a couple of Diamond jokes and I waited. The day arrived and I wanted to double check that I was good to pick up my ring. I messaged Stephanie on her personal phone, of course apologizing for doing so but I was excited. She advised me she was off but she would check. I told her no and she had be amazing so I'll just call. Well I got sad news that the jeweler was still working on it and it would be ready the next day. My heart sank. What can you do? So I waited. 20 minutes later Stephanie texted and said it was ready. Excellent customer service! I've been here twice to have the battery in my watch replaced. Both times they were friendly & the wait was very short. The second time I came in, I asked how long the battery was supposed to last, since it seems I was in less than a year ago. The gentleman told me it can vary depending on the battery, but that they guarantee theirs for 6 months. When I went to pay, he looked up my name/phone number in their system & found out they had replaced the battery 8 months ago, and told me there would be no charge! Buyer beware ! My son bought an engagement ring with an expensive service plan and was told that all rings in the store are of medium size (7) and they will resize at no extra cost to make it fit when he comes back with his fiance. First resizing was done to size 4-1/2 bot was still too large and the ring was tending to slip off. On his request to reduce the size to size 4, he was told that this needs some special treatment at an extra cost of about $ 100. What a scam ! After paying for the "service plan" he paid another 100 $ just for making the ring fit. This does not sound like honest business to me. read more

My fiancé found his ring right away but I looked at several rings before I found the one that could possibly be the one.
