1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed with Midland Tailors…read more I had my wedding on September 7, 2025, and unfortunately, Midland Tailors added a huge amount of stress to what should have been a joyful time. My father was fitted for a suit, and when he went to pick it up on September 4, it didn't fit properly. The owner reassured him that it would be fixed and promised to meet him at the store on Saturday, September 6 at 12:00 PM, even though the store was closed that day. My dad arrived early at 11:30 AM and waited until 1:30 PM -- no one ever showed up. I had to call the company's hub in London to get the owner's phone number. After multiple calls and texts, we finally reached him. He casually said he was at a dry cleaner in Barrie -- while my dad was waiting in Midland. When I explained how upset my dad was, the owner asked, "Why?" -- as if waiting two hours for a promised appointment wasn't a problem. To make matters worse, he asked if my dad's suit was the pink one -- it was grey. Eventually, he showed up after 4 PM, just one day before my wedding. There was no apology, no compensation, and no accountability for the stress and inconvenience caused. I would not recommend renting a suit from Midland Tailors. This experience was a nightmare and completely unacceptable.

They just didn't know how to do it right. They did adjust my paints which I was satisfied with. They seem to be able to handle the simple tailoring needs of their clients. First off my gf and I were welcomed by the manager with a smile and gladly gave change and dryer sheets when asked. Halfway through the load her bf or husband stops in, and pretty much talks about very personal family matters and talks to her in a way that had me embarrassed, almost to the point of humiliation. At one point after being there for 35 minutes I step out for some fresh air, the second I'm out of sight this guy comes and basically starts hitting on my gf, asking personal questions and such, then when he sees me coming back he quickly leaves, which left her pretty wierded out. We finished folding our laundry and left. The place was very clean, machines were in perfect running order. Just left feeling sorry for the woman running the business after the visit with her significant other.
