Horrible business and horrible owners nothing but attitude from the wife very very unprofessional they immediately get hostile over nothing overall bad people to deal with there are other great shops in the area that actually treat there customers and their equipment with respect if you have a lawn tractor expect it to sit outside in the elements they do not have the capacity for what they bring in overall Up Yours Brian and whatever your annoying wife's name is!!! Can't say enough good things about Brians Small Engine Repair. My Snow Blower Was not working. They came and picked it up quickly after I called. They quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. It was a bearing and they had it instock. They repaired snow blower was returned the same day and the price was extremely fair. I have nothing but positives to say about both Brian and Amber. Brian & Amber tell you they are 2-3 days out for your repair , but in reality you will be lucky to get it back in 2-3 weeks ! Horrible communication with every excuse in the book when you call them to get your mower/ blower back . The thing that really bothers me is they claim they sharpened my lawnmower blades, they had never even took them off and they were as dull as could be so they got me on that one and they lied to me about it if you're thinking about taking your mower there think again there are many other places that will do a better job. read more

Brian's small engine repair has had my green craftsman lawn tractor & my red Troy build lawn tractor along with my yellow go cart & big red go cart for a year & a half. He fixed the yellow go cart brought it back & it wouldn't start so he picked it up again. The Troy built I had purchased used from Brian. Brought it home & it stopped running the first time I went to use it. He said he would fix it for free & bring it back. That was in May 2024. Terrible communication & terrible customer service. I read many of these negative reviews about Brian after he had already picked up my two stage Craftsman Snowblower. All the reviewers were correct, Brian has the worst customer service and results of anyone I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I expected a new carburetor and general tune up of a snowblower that had been sitting around for 3 yrs. He never called me to discuss his diagnosis and my options. Never gave me an estimate. He had my machine for almost three months. When I got it back it would not run for more than a minute. I attempted 6 times in a row with the same result, a machine that is not running correctly. He did NOT put a new carburetor on the unit like I wanted. I was livid. I was going to have him pick it up again t make it right but then decided I did not want to deal with him anymore at all. He ended up charging me $160 for a new spark plug, fresh oil and re-mount the two tubeless tires. But the machine would not stay running. I found a new carburetor on line for $20 and installed it myself. Now the snowblower runs great! Brain is a complete IDIOT. Steer clear of this business. Run don't walk in the opposite direction of him and his wife!! read more

I see from all the bad reviews that my terrible experience with Brian and Amber is normal for them. After they had my lawn mower for over a month instead of the two days they claimed when they picked it up I told them to bring it back. I found this shop online in May, had some good reviews. I called and Brian's wife Amber said I can bring my mower right over. That was on 5/30/19. A couple weeks later I called and got what appeared to be an automated text message saying they were busy and to text. So, I texted asking for an update on the mower. Never heard anything. I waited a couple more weeks, called and got voicemail full. Last Thursday, 7/18/19, I called and his wife answered, she said she wasn't at home but would call back with a status. Never heard anything. While they had good reviews when I first researched this business, I found that since then they've had a couple of bad reviews at various sites with the same exact complaints about non-communication. So, it was obvious I was at a dead end. Called 7/20/19 AM, no answer. So.. we drove to their house, and was greeted by a very angry wife who said her husband wasn't home and she didn't have the keys to the shop. She said her husband had been in the hospital for heat exhaustion so he hasn't worked on it. (Before this week the temps have been very comfortable, no excuse - sounds like an enabling wife.) I told her I just wanted my mower back, and that I'd like an answer from her husband as to when I could pick it up. Then she said she was going to call the police if I didn't leave her property. So.. I called the police, explained the situation, and they agreed to meet me there. Soon after I arrived and during my wait for the officer, Amber was outside. She sent her son down the street to get my mower, so it wasn't even on the premises. Supposedly her husband had come home in the 30 minutes I was gone, however the same vehicles that were there the first time we went there were there this time. COMMUNICATION. I think I was very patient and nice in my communication given the fact that these people had my mower and were totally non-communicative. They were professional in the sense that they had a written work order and a call tag, but beyond that, they just sat on my mower and NEVER communicated. If they were that swamped when I called the first time to see about getting it worked on, they could of said that they had alot of work and it would be awhile. We dropped off my husband's weedwhacker to be repaired for a gas leak and were told it would be 3-4 days tops. After the 5th day he had tried calling for an update, but there was no answer. He also sent a text requesting an estimated time, again with no answer. It had then been over a week when he called again, and it went straight to voicemail. I knew they had blocked his number, so I then had him use my phone to call, and shockingly they picked up on the first ring. They claimed they were running behind due to a family member in the hospital which would've been completely understandable if it were true, but they could've communicated that. She told us that we would know by the end of the day what was going on, and it has now been another 4 days with no new updates. If you go to their website it looks like they delete negative reviews so avoid these people if you can, they are very slimy. read more

Hands down the best service I've had in a long time! If you're thinking of taking your lawnmower, trimmer, etc. anywhere else... DON'T! His prices are better than fair, and he picks up and delivers for a very small fee. Other places charge 3x as much and might not get to you for a week! They had my chainsaw since March with zero communication from them on a diagnosis. Made three phone calls to retrieve my chain saw and after the fourth they told me what they thought was wrong. They didn't contact me. I had to contact them again. Anyway, I picked up chainsaw and it's not back together as requested. I don't want them working on my property. Would NOT recommend. I wanted them to look at my mower which was running rough leaking gas and the deck cable had broke. After 2 weeks I started calling them each day and when they did answer I was constantly told they would call right back or I'm just getting to the office I'll call you right back. Then they stopped answering all together so I had to just show up there and demand my mower back. When I got there a young kid came out and instead of his mom just coming out he had to run back and forth until I just told him his mom needed to come and talk to me. She was very nasty and rude. She told me it isn't her business it's her husbands, yet she's the one you talk to on the phone. Anyway I ended up having to leave since she says she didn't have the key to the shop. A little while later she calls acting all nice saying this is what's wrong with it and it'd take a few weeks to order parts. I told her I just wanted to come get it, they still charged me for literally wasting my time. When I picked it up they tried giving me the wrong key. They went and "searched" for my key but I wasn't going to leave with out it. Then magically they found the key. The key had my gpas name on it and the key chain has sentimental value to me. They also clearly never looked at the mower. They literally told me exactly what I told them was wrong with it. Had they actually looked at it they would've noticed that the battery was dead and the ignition didn't work among a few other things. If they even started it up they'd of seen the engine itself ran rough but no mention of that. I don't know how people can run a business like this and expect to keep it going. read more
