They replaced a coil (cost of part is from 25-75$). Charged $140 for the part. The front coil they replaced took about 15 minutes to replace. They charged me $290 part and labor and the problem was not solved. I changed the spark plugs yesterday as they recommended. Still the car has the problem. They do a 360 inspection which had numerous items THEY Say that needed to be fixed. The problem is that I have fixed and replaced most of them within the last year. Brake rotors (10k miles), Front tires (like new) Motor Oil (2k miles ago) Trans oil, Air and fuel filter all recently replaced but they said in the inspection that those items were in need of replacing. Cabin filter dirty on the report but the 94 camry to my knowledge has no cabin filter. I have receipts and will be filing a complaint with the Illinois Attorney general over this practice. I also will dispute the charge for my card relating to the un needed repair done.

Called to explain the issue and then again when the car was ready. Evaluated the issue in the morning, had it narrowed down by lunch, and had the new part installed and tested by the afternoon (same day). Other garages seem to work on the theory that they will get your car, when they get to it. That wasn't my experience at all with Papa's garage.

Recently we took our car to Overall Automotive in Poplar Grove for an oil change and tire rotation…read more  They seemed very nice.  Several days later we drove the car 200 miles to central Illinois.  We stopped about half way to get gas.  But upon arriving at the town of our destination, the car started smelling like burning oil.  When we pulled off the road, checked the oil, it was empty.  We had the car towed to a local automotive repair shop and they said the gasket on the oil filter was incorrectly installed.  After showing the diagnosis from the repair shop to three other qualified mechanics they all confirmed, the gasket was in the incorrect place. When we went back to Overall Automotive the owner's wife was sympathetic to what we had gone through.  We provided invoices, photos and diagnostic report of what was wrong with our car.  Several days later we stopped back at Overall Automotive and the owner said they did nothing wrong, that it was impossible to place the gasket in the incorrect place.  Despite three other mechanics confirming the same thing, Overall Automotive refused any monetary reimbursement nor an apology.   Overall Automotive does not stand by their work, are incompetent and only care about money and not their customers.  Don't waste your time or money going there. They could destroy your car!
