Home Depot Review my contractor ordered a vanity for that I picked out from Home Depot checked out paid for it and then his order got canceled. Why was it canceled question no reason given. Customer service just said that there was nothing they could do about it so sorry. , we find the same vanity on for about $600 . he says this is not the first time this has happened. Home Depot is a scam. Do not order anything off of their app. Or the Internet. I have only ordered anything off of their app once and it was incorrect because they had only sent me one of the two items that I bought together. And they also told me that the only thing they could do was refund and so sorry not gonna let you buy the sample again without having to wait three weeks. This company is a scam and I will let everyone know. In the mean time, if anyone knows where to get a reasonably priced Antigua green Merryfield 37 inch bath vanity, please let me know. I rented a trencher on a Wednesday was supposed to pick up on Saturday. I hired people to do the job for me and they were showing up on Saturday. Home Depot sends me an email at nine in the morning when I was supposed to pick up the trencher at 10. And canceled my reservation. I called them and they did not have the trencher in running order. They said a technician was coming into work on it, they had three days to get this thing running. And their employees are not intelligent enough to try it out before the morning of. Needed some round grill grates that nobody seemed to have for Memorial Day grilling. Had already been to several stores. Finally went to local Home Depot. Found one Weber grate right away. But the slot for the other was empty. Friendly staff person saw me milling around and asked if he could help! Unsolicited. Wow! Showed him the second grill grate size. He immed went to get a huge step ladder. Grill grate was not located in the first place way up high where he initially looked. Was on the other side, again way up high. This was a lot of work. It required moving that huge ladder from elsewhere and then again on site there. (He had been unboxing in another aisle beforehand.) He cheerfully brought down the second larger grill grate, asked if I needed anything else. Thanked him for his help. Thought I might browse a bit. Clearly this Home Depot is decked out. Decided to look for lighter fluid. Price was amazing! Strangely it was about half of the local, big box, discount store. (Hmm.) Got one. Will return the much more expensive big box version. (And they had zero round grill grates in their store.) Accomplished a lot, in a hurry, very pleasant shopping experience! Amazing. And FYI, I use a rollator. It hurts and is tiring to ambulate. Great place to rent tools for an DIY project! The employees working in the tool rental area were very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the actual floor employees could use better training. Specifically I was looking at flooring and an employee struggled to tell me how many boxes it would take to complete my project based on my measurements. Said employee was nice however he didn't admit to not knowing the answer and I was given some random number. read more

Terrible service! When i ordered replacement windows they made a huge pitch about lifetime guarantees, free replacements, etc. They installed a defective window with crooked grid lines on July 30. On the same day they said they'd put in a work order for a warranty replacement. Now it's Nov 26, and I'm still waiting. They have lied to me repeatedly about processing the order. I contacted the manufacturer directly (Simonton Windows) and found out they never even filed the replacement. It's impossible to get ahold of anyone in charge. read more

I have spent TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars shopping at Home Depot -- an entire kitchen remodel, all of my major appliances, all of my ceiling fans, all of my bathroom upgrades, etc., all within less than a year. And they're REFUSING to take back a $145 toilet with a hairline crack? Their reasoning is that I have reached a 'limit' on returns -- gee, does that include the shower stall that also arrived with a CRACK, a WRONG ceiling fan, and toilet kits that NEVER ARRIVED? (As confirmed with UPS.) I reviewed all of my returns and they don't even add up to $1K. And they were replacements for the EXACT same and/or correct items (and not some returns 'on a whim'). So basically, the message is that if you continue to shop with Home Depot they will eventually STICK YOU with a damaged product. I guess when you're a publicly traded company with numbers in the billions you don't GIVE A RIP about your customers. But guess what? It's CUSTOMERS that Home Depot is SUPPOSED TO BE serving, it's CUSTOMERS that put them where they are. Perhaps contractors are the only ones they wish 'to serve.' I was planning on making more large purchases from them but NO MORE. Why would I take that chance? They have lost a HUGE, LOYAL CUSTOMER. This Home Depot is pretty darn good. When we remodeled our home, we shopped at several places and Home Depot offered the best quality and discounts. The materials cost was in the high 4 figures. We obtained ceiling fans by Hampton Bay, Sile-stone counters, Italian kiln fired floor tile, additional storage racks for the MBR closet, new vanities, brushed nickel towel bars and plumbing fixtures for the bathrooms, medicine cabinets, over cabinet lighting bars, ceramic shower tiles, kitchen plumbing fixtures, Insinkerator disposal and much more. The selection process was guided by truly competent associates without a lot of fuss and was accomplished quickly. We received a tremendous discount as we purchased so much. We were very pleased with the service. Subsequent visits for other items was unspectacular, about what we expected. Some returns were made for various reasons and there was no hassle. Our best visits were to the Spring Seasonal Outdoor Area to purchase a myriad of flora and all the accouterments. Compared with competition stores and this chain's brother store just off Perryville Rd. north of State St., this is a Plus+. It, also was more convenient to our home. read more

We've always liked shopping at this location but Sunday night really made us want to continue to shop at this store. We had walked in for a refill on our 5 gallon water jug but didn't realize that the store was technically closed. The cashier let us know that the store was closed but gladly let us exchange our jug and didn't seem irritated and actually seemed happy to help. This store has always had great customer service with friendly staff that are willing to help, has almost always been clean and organized, and returning items has never been an issue. This is my favorite Home Depot store, far and away. The customer service is unlike any other store. It comes close to the service level of my local hardware store. Never thought I'd see that. Have had staff there give me a much reduced (as in he reduced it right then) set of Dremel covers -- just because they didn't have them in stock on the spot and neither of us could find them anywhere else. That manager spent an inordinate amount of time solving this problem. But he stuck with it until we had one that fit. (And he opened a few packages to make sure what we had did fit.) Terrible customer service. Ordered 7 cellular shades from them. Guy came over to measure & stated they would fit fine if they were mounted inside the window, they didn't. Guy who came to install said the person who ordered should have called to let you know a different brand of cellulars need to be ordered so they would fit in the window properly. Also one cellular shade was cut completely wrong & I was charged for a extra shade that I didn't need, which was also cut wrong. They wouldn't take the blame & wanted me to pay the difference of the other shades that needed to be ordered, $1,000 more. The best the manager could do is give me $200 off. I also brought up the issue that I needed them installed on a Saturday because I can't keep leaving work early to sit & wait around for them to show up in the 4 hour time frame they give you. The manager said that the installation date isn't up to him & he has no control over it. I would be willing to change the feelings of my review if they could do more for me but as of right now I will not be doing any business with the Home Depot on big projects for my home. read more

Worst experience ever with cabinets! The Home Depot representative in cabinetry was very unprofessional and not upfront with information regarding purchases. After contacting the store manager about the lack of clear communication and hours spent on our design, the manager didn't care if his employees were unprofessional and dishonest. The manager, Ryan H was quite clear he, "He Was On Vacation" so I guess what happens when he was gone wasn't on his watch, NICE! I was shocked that a business manager would run a store so poorly & unwilling to work together for a positive solution. His employees inadequacy obviously represent his management style or lack of. High pressure sales tactics to get you to buy for a Sale, was ridiculous! We left without buying our 30K cabinets at this location & went down the street to Lowe's bought Kraftmaid and the management and sales staff were TOP notch, very straightforward and worked hard to get us an unbeatable price! Thank you LOWES! I would highly recommend NOT purchasing cabinetry at Home Depot & obviously issues here stem from the top down. Very disappointed but happy with the move to another location.
