The apartment has a condominium-like touch with elegant molding throughout, in-unit washer & dryer and a walk-in closet in the primary bedroom. During my stay I bought an electric car, and there were always plentiful charging stations in the garage. The on-site managers are responsive, friendly and efficient. I've never lived in an apartment that provided weekly maintenance visits - but El Dorado does. I cannot recommend this building highly enough.

As a Board member…read moreat the time, during the search for a new HOA management company, I called Allstate HOA's provided references (they were all Board members in other HOAs in neighboring regions that were with Allstate HOA). These other Board members repeatedly spoke very highly of the quality of service they were receiving from Allstate. Our Board thought it would be worth a shot so we made the jump and signed on with Allstate HOA. What a breath of fresh air and higher quality of service compared to the property management company we left! (the difference was literally night and day!). Armando Castillo was our primary point of contact as the property manager during the transition period for the first 6 months or so and he was amazing in helping our HOA get on the right foot. He was very responsive to email and always was on top of things. Even after I eventually stepped off the Board and become a homeowner in the complex, Armando continued to always provide excellent advice and referrals to trustworthy and highly competent contractors. DO NOT RENT HERE! I…read morestrongly recommend thinking twice before renting at this community. My experience here has been unacceptable from the beginning. When I moved in, there was black mold in the unit, and the apartment was filthy!! That alone should tell you something about the level of care and attention given to residents and their homes. Ultimately, I had to pay out-of-pocket and get my own cleaning crew to make it habitable. But what happened after moving in was far worse. While living here, I was sexually harassed by an employee, Trina, who was ultimately fired. Management offered to let me break my lease one month early without a penalty, but that did absolutely nothing to address the reality of what it would cost me to suddenly relocate a household with three children. Moving costs thousands of dollars. Because I cannot financially absorb that expense right now, I am essentially stuck continuing to live in the same community where this happened and she is still living here as well. And after everything I have dealt with here, they still increased my rent by $230 per month after only one year. Prospective residents should also be very aware that the advertised rent is not necessarily what you should expect to pay each month. I am consistently paying a few hundred dollars extra every month in additional service fees and charges. Those extra costs add up quickly, so if you are considering renting here, make sure you budget for potentially paying hundreds of dollars more than your base rent every single month. For what residents are actually paying, you would at least expect the property to be exceptionally maintained. It isn't. The community is poorly maintained and looks nothing like what you would expect at this price point. They advertise a mini golf course, which is almost laughable. Calling it a mini golf course is extremely generous. In reality, the area functions more like another dog area, and residents routinely leave dog waste throughout the community without picking it up. Management does not effectively address it. So, to recap my experience: black mold upon move-in, an apartment that wasn't properly cleaned, sexual harassment by an employee, an inadequate resolution that leaves me continuing to live here, a $230 monthly rent increase after one year, hundreds of dollars in additional monthly fees, poorly maintained grounds, dog waste throughout the property, and amenities that are nothing like what I expected based on how they are advertised. I don't give one-star reviews lightly, but people considering signing a lease deserve to know what they may be walking into. Do not rent here. And if you are considering it, do not look at the advertised rent alone, ask for a complete breakdown of every monthly fee and charge before you sign anything. UPDATE - I do want to give credit where credit is due. Despite the issues I've had with this community and management, Sed in maintenance has always been amazing. He's responsive, helpful, and genuinely cares about the residents here. My experience with the property as a whole does NOT reflect my experience with him or the maintenance team in general. They are quick to get issues resolved.
