Handed over my ticket and was told by the lady chewing gum that my dry cleaning order had been picked up. It had not. She informed me in no uncertain terms that I had picked up my dry cleaning (that was not ready until today), two days ago. I insisted that I look through the racks to find the order (and I did). I have had several pairs of jeans hemmed by Bricher Cleaners. Each time, they have done an excellent job of hemming. They also shortened the sleeves on a coat that had a faux leather trim. They managed to shorten the sleeves and replace the trim. This is my "go to" tailor. read more

Brought my cleaning here for a good year without too much trouble. Before I left on vacation last month, I dropped off some cleaning and had a friend pick it up for me. When I got it, I realized that one of my blouses was missing. I left the next morning on my trip, so couldn't do anything about it until I returned two weeks later. When I finally went in, it seemed like the man who runs things there was ready for me. As soon as I said "I am missing a blouse from an order I brought in a couple weeks ago" he cut me off and said "No, we miscounted- you only brought in 5 items, not six. We changed it." He seemed to know exactly what order I was referring to without me having to explain further or even give him my name. His tone was instantly combative and defensive, and I had hardly even said anything. The blouse was absolutely in the order. The fact that he was trying to pretend that wasn't the case was nervy to the point of hilarity. I politely said I was sure the blouse had been in the order, and asked him to look for it. He did a VERY cursory 10-second glance through some items on a rack, and said "No, we don't have it." I then asked him to keep an eye out for it, and he said "ok fine." He didn't seem to make any move to make a note about it or take any information, so I said "Do you want to write down what it looks like?" He scribbled a bit on paper and said "ok, fine" and essentially tried to shoo me out. Anyway, obviously I'm never bringing my clothes here again. read more

I've been taking my dry cleaning to Bricher Cleaners for the last 10 years. I have always found them to be efficient, honest, and helpful. When I need something ready the next day, they accommodate me. When I've left cards and money in my pants pockets they were returned when I picked up my laundry. Avoid Bricher Cleaners & Tailors at all costs. I recently moved to the area and have nothing but successful experiences with every other business in the Geneva/St. Charles area. But, that all changed after going to Bricher Cleaners & Tailors. I had originally intended to get all my dry cleaning done (including suits, dresses and dress shirts), but after giving an estimate of over $100 what I would normally pay in Chicago for a similar amount of items, I had an uneasy feeling about this business. I decided to leave them a down comforter as a test to see if the quality was worth the extra cost. I picked up the comforter and brought it home. Upon opening the package, I was immediately met with the smell of sweat versus cleaning products so I knew the product had not been properly cleaned. In addition, there are several dirt and sweat marks visible and one stain that had clearly not even been touched. This comforter had not been cleaned. I immediately brought it back to ask for another cleaning (it's the holiday season, things happen) or to request a refund. Upon entering the store and explaining the situation, I was instantly meet with a combative and defensive behavior. After a few minutes of going back and forth, the man (owner I assume), began to raise his voice to me at which point I did the same. I was then met with a "get the F*** out of my store". At this point, he was only a few inches from my face and I began to fear for my safety. Not only did they not perform the service for which I paid, but I was met with anger and an unwilling attitude to rectify the situation at hand. I would never set foot in this business again and highly recommend looking elsewhere for your dry cleaning or tailoring needs. read more

Took my dress in to get altered for a last minute event and they did an amazing job that I thought would not be possible on such short notice. I got my dress back in record time as well. I've had quite a few dresses altered at other dry cleaning places, but this place by far did the best work. Also dropped off a couple coats to get dry cleaned at the same time and they did a excellent job on those as well. I will gladly be back when I'm in the area. read more

I paid $50.00 for a dress to be altered. The day of the wedding, my daughter put the dress on - just as big and long as it was the day we dropped it off! No alterations were made! When I went back to complain, he was unapologetic and rude. I will NEVER go here again. read more

This place is HORRIBLE! I brought in a blouse to be dry cleaned. Unfortunately the blouse was damaged (fabric was torn) while in the process. I brought the blouse back in and they agreed the blouse had been damaged by them. I told them I had a seamstress I trusted and would have her try to fix the damage which fortunately she was able to do. I came back in to show them the repaired blouse and give them the bill for the cost of repair ($20) and asked to be reimbursed for the dry cleaning charge. James refused to reimburse me for any of the dry-cleaning service and said the repair was only worth $10!!! I thought $20 was pretty a reasonable price for repairing the damage and as a business owner he would have been happy that my seamstress was able to do the repair! I will NEVER go back and suggest you don't either. read more

I would not recommend this company to ANYONE! So dishonest! I brought in drapes to be dry cleaned only to get home once they were paid for and to realize that they were shredded. Going back to them wondering what on earth happened and to ask why I wasn't informed. The manager proceeds to tell me that sometimes drapes shred after they are dry cleaned and that they did nothing wrong and refused to pay for them. They are from Pottery Barn And were expensive. This company is not worth using. The BBB will hear about this and hopefully they will investigate this sorry excuse for a company. read more

Being a 30 year resident of Geneva, I have been a customer of yours for years But, as of today am no longer, You do have competitors I dropped off four pair of pants to be cleaned. That was fine. Two of the pair jeans needed to be shortened. When I picked them up today and the bill was $60.00 I was floored. The two jeans cost $18.00 each to shorten. Lets fact it this is a cut and sew job not brain surgery. I just want you to know that that is about what the jeans cost. Your prices are way out of line and I will not be coming back to your establishment for anything again. If anyone asks me I will relate the facts of my experience with your services. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! We picked up our overpriced dry-cleaned clothes, only to discover that they had used permanent marker to write the last name on every piece of clothing!!! Not only did this ruin the clothing - my significant other's clothing now has my last name permanently written on it. They did not tell me this is how they keep track of the clothing they clean. So, when I called to figure out what the heck was going on, the person I spoke with - started yelling at me and saying that it was my fault for not telling him I didn't want them to write on the clothing with permanent markers!!! He then yelled some more and hung up on me. Not kidding. No apology. Instead, he said I was the only person to ever complain in over 20 years. You think that with the amount they charge to to clean these clothes, that they could afford to use tags like every other single drycleaner I have ever used. read more
