I went to men's warehouse in oak lawn illinois on Cicero Ave. Went to buy a pair of pants for wedding they needed a little shortening from bottom lady measured and said no problem this is Thursday i said can i pick up tomorrow or Saturday morning then she asked the woman store manager and she said it would be $40 because it was a rush job. I Have my Daughter wedding in August so i went to men's wear house , I went in and looked around with nobody hounding me or Hovering as I'm stressed already , at the right time I found Chance miller what a great human, amazing personality your parents should be proud , I told him I was never measured before in my 50 years of life and he took on that role also wrote out the measurements for me so I would not be lost , we tried on suits , shirts , pants and shoes , we found and got me looking good and I purchased my very first fitted Suit , thank you for your patience and support , thank you for your services also ! read more

Every time we visit this store, we are never greeted or acknowledged...this time was no different. When someone finally came to us he said "Did you need helpw ith anything?" to which I replied, "Yes, that is why we are here." I needed to get my 2 boys fitted for a wedding and I was already uneasy about the service we would get, but it is the closest store and the wedding was fast approaching. The salesperson could not locate the wedding party despite having the 1st and last names of the bride and the groom and the date of the wedding. Another salesman came over to help and he couldn't get it either. After about 15 minutes of them trying, I was able to get ahold of the groom to locate the group number. I had been in the store a few weeks prior and that salesperson was able to pull up the info with no problem, I don't know why these 2 had such a hard time. I was in there with my kids to get fitted for a wedding they are standing up in and the one salesman said to the other "I don't know how to measure kids" to which the other guy said "The same way you do a regular person." I almost walked out at this point. I had ZERO confidence that they would be able to get this done, but the next nearest location was about 20 minutes away and with the holiday approaching I couldn't risk not getting fitted that day. They eventually figured it out. Also, I cannot believe that a CHILD'S tuxedo rental is $250! The bride also had no idea it would be this much. She assumed the kids cost would be much cheaper that an adult tux. I paid nealy $500 for my 2 kids to RENT a tux. Simply outrageous. read more

My fiancé and I went in to order a custom shirt for our wedding. The lady helping us never introduced herself and never asked our names. When we stated we wanted an ivory shirt she made a disgusted face and said "No. Ivory is just so yellow." She then brushed us off and said if we wanted ivory we should look at what's in stock on the shirt wall. When we stated that they don't carry my fiancé's size (hence why we came in for a custom shirt) she rolled her eyes and said they probably did even though she hadn't measured him yet. In a shocking turn of events when I pressed her to measure him, she measured him and realized they indeed do not carry his size. The whole experience was so completely off-putting. There was no semblance of customer service. I don't need a red carpet but the simple act of introducing herself to us and keeping her negative opinion of what we wanted to herself would have gone very far and not led to this negative review. The worst part of this is that we were told that only the managers do custom fittings. The fact that this woman is a manager is shocking and disturbing. read more

a few weeks ago i overbought for my son's homecoming -because i wasn't sure if he had anything that fit him as he has grown a ton from the previous year. i wanted him to have everything he needed so we didn't have to run out again if we missed something. the store is not close to our house. i spent over 400 on clothes he will only wear once. i went back two weeks later to return a few items he didn't wear - a shirt, tie (we bought multiple of each and he wore the one that best matched his girlfriend's dress) a belt, unopened t- shirts, and socks. the a hole manager -jack doherty- refused to refund a 40 dollar belt saying it was worn. said "we arent a rental store." when i showed him the clip where it hangs in the store, he accussed me of reattaching it! when it never left the bag from when i bought it!!!! so he called me a liar and embarrassed me in front of other customers-you've lost two customers for life over 40 dollars. so, i went home still fuming--and checked to see that i didn't make a mistake. i looked at homecoming photos and sure enough the belt my son was wearing has a completely different square end as opposed to a tapered end that i tried to return! i went way out of my way to go there because i've always liked shopping there. i had always shopped there for myself and was telling my son how great your store is and this is how we are treated????- jack doherty should be fired over this one encounter. what an absolute jerk that you have representing mwh !!!!!! read more

I purchased some pants and a shirt for an upcoming wedding. The selection was sad, and the tailoring services were even worse. I paid $140 for a pair of pants with some alterations. I picked the pants up a few days before needed. They did not fit correctly, so they said to wait while we fix them. They failed, the fit on these pants was horrible and miserable to wear. Do yourself a favor, save some money and shop online. You can always take the clothes to a local seamstress/tailor. Then maybe you can wear them more than once read more

Poor customer service and told me I had to pay a late fee when after all, I didn't have to pay a late fee. Zero accountability for a missing item. Asked me, the customer, what I wanted them to do about it and to call Schaumburg location for answers regarding missing item. Overpriced suits and extremely costly tailoring. They charged $30 just to hem the sleeves of my son's jacket.

I purchased a suit for a wedding. I had to work out of town so I asked that the pants be sent to my house. I paid extra for this. The pants were never sent, still do not have them. I contacted the company for this issue and was told they still had the pants a week after delivery that I paid for. They told me their would be nothing they could do to fix their issue even though I had to go out and rent a suit because of their mistake. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We had a very pleasant experience working with Dana at this Men's Wearhouse location as we prepared for our wedding. We made several visits, the first of which was to choose tuxedos for the groomsmen and groom. My husband really wanted a black and also a white tuxedo jacket, and they made that happen at an inexpensive price. None of our groomsmen had any complaints- and all got fitted at this location except one. They also had the tuxedos ready early in the week (Tuesday and we got married on a Friday) so they could all go in and make sure the measurements were perfect. We also did not do tuxedos for the ushers and dad's- but did matching ties instead. The tie selection here is great- and they made sure I purchased them when it was a buy one get one free sale since I was ordering so many. They had to special order them for me- and they came in quickly. I would definitely work with them here again! read more

Store Review: Smooth tuxedo! I am surprised by the reviews below given my experience for tuxedo and suit rentals for me and my groomsman. We went out on a Friday night after work. The guy working in the store was super friendly and helped quickly with taking measurement. I found the packages to be priced well. You get to select the type of suit, vest, cufflinks, shoes, bowtie, waist band, and dress shirt for approximately 75-100 dollars each. The clothing is mostly adjustable and they ensure if they don't get it right they will immediately find another suit that fits better even if it is a day before your big event. Everything went off without a hitch and the suits have to be returned within 48 or 72 hours (I don't quite remember). It loses one star as the owner/manager on the second visit for the fitting was brash and not friendly compared to the original employee. Pros- nice selection of suits and tux, great package deals. Perfect for prom and weddings alike Cons- none Hidden deals- sign up for men's wearhouse club to earn points for additional savings. Application at the cash register. This men's Wearhouse is absolutely horrible do not shop here. They messed up entering my wedding information in the computer and have no technology skills. It's 2020 learn how to use a computer. Also they were SO rude. When we walked in they all looked at each other saying "you can take it". That is not acceptable. They questioned my mom and overcharged us. I walked in this New Years Eve really hoping to kick up my wardrobe with a couple of sport coats, one for the evening's festivities. Sean greeted me and within 5-10 min I had two great sport coats recommended to me. They had a great selection in my size (very common so I struggle with having the best selection at times). The prices were great. Customer service was outstanding. I was able to walk out with both that day. I have used MW before and had the same experience. Not sure why I waited so long to go back. My S/O and I went in with a small budget and not a lot of time. We had about 2 days to get a suit for her sisters wedding that weekend. I was very quickly and efficiently showed a suit that fit within our budget and then showed another suit that was greatly discounted and much nicer that fit well within our budget. Mark Messer was our consultant and he made sure that everything fit well and made sure that the minor alterations that needed to be made were done within 24 hours. He was very good about getting us what we needed and even helped by making sure I had my measurements so that I could find a shirt and tie elsewhere because we had not yet decided on color or fit. Overall it is was a quick and painless experience and now I finally have a versatile suit that I can use for like events for years to come! read more

I went there yesterday and I was treated like a king by Joe! I ended up buying two suits, 4 shirts, 4 ties and a pair wingtips shoes!! With their sale I saved over $1100 bucks!! I have went to several of these stores in the local area and the customer service was horrible I went to the on on Butterfield and the dressing rooms were littered with push pins and when I brought it up to the manager it was of no importance to him. I was told that even though the floor had an abundance of them on the pins that they wouldn't pick them up until the end of the night. At the location on Randall rd however the services that I was given by Pete, Sean and Kirsten was phenomenal she gave me advice on my wedding that was imperative and the guys help us a ton as well I will make this my home store for anything I need in the future!!! read more

I like the personalized service provided by Tony at the Geneva location. He has made me a loyal customer for the past few years. With many online options, I choose to go to the brick and mortar location based on service. While a relatively young guy, Tony has "old school" service orientation, and works very hard to provide valued advice to customers based on their specific needs. On a recent visit I was not surprised that he called me by name, having not been in the store for close to a year. He is efficient, while taking the time to get the right match and fit for the need. If you call ahead and talk about needs, he will set aside options to make the process go smoothly. Mens Wearhouse can rely on gimmicks like "buy 1 get 50pct off", which knocks down 1 star for the corporation. But the personal touch is worth looking past this mild annoyance. And, as others have mentioned, signing up for the loyalty club can help offset some of the cost. read more

We ordered all of our wedding mens items from here, 9 tuxes in total. When we were picking out the items, we came in the middle of the week at 1:00pm, not a sole was in the store looking at rentals but us. We were rushed to say the least, the rental manager was not getting the part even saying over and over that this was a very formal wedding. Finally we had to mix and pick out our own items. My now husband was fitted by her and guess what... the pants were too long, you can even notice from my profile picture. Like really bad. Due to the craziness of the wedding week and out of town guests he was not able to pick up the tux till the day of and was not able to get them altered.... but if he was measured it should not have been like this! One of the other groomsmen did not get socks and another didn't have his tux ready even after sending him a email that it was ready, he waited so long that he went to KFC and they finally called him to say they found it. We really feel the price was a good deal, they ended up looking great but would not go to this location. read more

Tony makes this store a 5 star store. I went to get suits for our wedding and Tony went so far above and beyond it was insane. You do not see customer service like this anymore. Tony helped us to get the best deal and then he made sure the entire process was so smooth. He even had all the suits shipped to his location so we were able to see them and then he shipped them out to all the different locations of our groomsmen on his dime. If you are looking for a new suit and especially if you have to get suits for a bridal party come to the Geneva location and ask for Tony. His only days off are Tue and Thursday so make sure to avoid those days because Tony really is the best! read more

I had to use this location to be fitted for and pick up a tuxedo for a wedding. Maybe it's just because this isn't my style, but I really felt out-of-place in this store and the staff didn't do anything at all to make feel comfortable in any way. Up-sells are a part of the business. I understand this. But what I don't need is the roll the eye look like I am an idiot for not buying this particular item. This was not the main salesperson who helped me but one manager/ senior sales person, and a punk kid, that had not worked with me that were in the vicinity as I was getting rung up. After spending $600 I was $1 away from a $50 gift certificate. The sales guy was trying to tack on an additional $1 to the sale to help me out and get the certificate. That's when the senior guy stepped in and admonished him that he needs to sell me more crap. When I explained to the sales person that I was surprised after spending $600, they could not do me the courtesy of charging me one EXTRA dollar he sincerely apologized. However a young 120 lb, spikey haired 17 yr old, began with the eye rolling and whispering to other colleagues. I don't need used car salesman selling me suits. I spend about $1,500 per year in formal wear and spent about $1k at this place over the past year. I will go to a farther Men's Wearhouse next time. read more

Anthony listened to what I was looking for and presented me with several great options. I was so disappointed by the poor customer service I received at this store when I took my 2 year old son in to be measured for a tuxedo that I ended up walking out. They were very resistant at my request since the measurements were for a tux company out of state and their interaction with me bordered on being down right rude. We've used and referred people to Men's Wearhouse many times in the past, but will cease to do so immediately. A company that can't satisfy such a simple request in my opinion must have very low expectations for their customer service. read more

Had a great experience with Men's Wearhouse. I did rental suits for my destination wedding for myself and 10 person wedding party. The ladies name slipped my mind who helped coordinate (manager) everything with the suit rental, but she was awesome and contacted me if I had any questions/changes or problems. Joe who works in the same department was also great. He helped make sure my suit fit perfect and wouldn't accept anything less, I have a unique body shape so we had them quick ship a new coat so I wouldn't look as bulky on my wedding day. A very poor experience. I'm an Army soldier trying to prepare a wedding with my fiancé. While I wear a suit to church each Sunday I had never been to a Men's Warehouse, so I talked to the first employee I saw as I walked through the door. He led me back to the suit and tux area so I could figure out what I wanted to do with my wedding. There were 3 employees lounging behind their desks. None of them made a move when their coworker explained what I'm after. In fact they all look at each other with a blatant expression of "ugh....who wants to take this?" The worker who had led me back there was apparently made just as uncomfortable by their attitude as I was and as he walked away said, "Wow, guys. Don't everybody volunteer at once." After a little under a minute of silently passing the responsibility, one of them got up to help me while the others made themselves scarce. The rest of my time there was without too much note. However, I just got had a long conversation with one of my groomsmen. His experience was even worse than it was for me. The employee who took "care" of him, an obese woman with an indecent amount of cleavage, spent most of the visit rolling her eyes and mocking him. She was arrogant and disrespectful, making each question a chance to belittle him. She berated him for not knowing his suit measurements when he had had just explained he was in to BE measured. Let me make this clear. My wedding is a big deal. Not everyone in my wedding party is as comfortable with suits as I am. When I send people your way it's so you can take care of them. Make them feel comfortable. I'm PAYING YOU GOOD MONEY so that happens. WE'RE PAYING YOU GOOD MONEY. I've worked customer service. I've worked sales. This is completely unprofessional. Who wants to be made to feel like you're intruding on one of the cliques in high school? Get your act together before we go somewhere else with our business. read more
