Brick & Mortar is such a fun gift shop in Leesburg, I've also been to one of their other locations in Middleburg. The items they sell are quirky, funny and some might be a bit inappropriate. They're a small local business, where you can find products by local vendors. At Brick & Mortar you can find glasses and mugs with funny sayings, kitchen towels and pillows, a variety of items with the name of the city you're visiting. There's candles galore, candles of interesting shapes, and candles with a variety of scents. Something a bit more unique is the jewelry and bow ties made of peacock feathers. As you can imagine the prices are a bit higher, but you are supporting a local business, and you're sure to find something unique, for yourself or as a gift. read more

Love this place! Came for the first time and the woman working there was super nice and even offered a beer while we browsed around! All of the stuff in the store is super cute and funny. The humor is a little "inappropriate" so something to keep in mind if that's not your cup of tea. Personally I loved it though! Got some car fresheners and a CBD lollipop. They have everything from apparel, to hot sauce, to books. It is a little pricey for some of the items but it is a small business so it doesn't hurt to pay the fee extra dollars to support them. I went in this past weekend since I was in the neighborhood. I wanted to check if they had any postcards. While they did not have what I was looking for, they do have tons of other items that I did pick up. The lady behind the register on Saturday was super nice and even offered us a beverage while we shopped. I will definitely be back to pick up gifts for friends or coworkers. This is an awesome boutique that offers fun for everyone who walks in! I love that you can find a gift for anyone on your list in this store! There are many candles to choose from, some with funny sayings, all that smell good. This shop has unique gifts ranging from pendleton blankets to trinket coasters, boutique clothing to golf-club bottle openers, designer bracelets to hilarious dish towels - there is something for everyone! There are live birds to peek at as you shop. This is a MUST STOP if you're walking around the neighborhood and you won't be disappointed. I'll never frequent this or any of their other locations again! Merchandise breaking is a risk of doing business. Either don't over crowd your displays or understand that accidents do happen. Making a customer pay for an accident, especially how your manager handled the situation was demeaning, uncalled for and regretful. And I can assure you that piece of merchandise was not a one of the kind item. Your "Made overseas" crap is easily replaced. You've lost a customer and I will be sure to tell others of this experience. read more

Super fun place with a lot of neat trinkets and gifts. Lots of humor on many of the items! Friendly staff as well. Purchased a few items I really enjoyed. All of the candles smelled amazing and uniquely different from any others I've ever smelled. Lots of Va products sold there as well. read more

The owner is very rude. We walked in and she harassed us for wearing masks indoors, she wasnt wearing a mask and kept saying that if masks worked we wouldn't need vaccines and if the vaccines worked then masks are useless, she was pushy and very off putting, we just wanted to shop! Not debate mask policy. Nothing there that you can't buy elsewhere so def not going back there again. read more

Cool store downtown with a large array of items like clothes, books, candles, soap, cards, decor, old used records, etc. Most of the things I saw had funny tag lines, titles, or images. Things seem to be on the pricier side, but it reminds me of the knick knacks you find at Urban Outfitters. And they have 2 parakeets in the store, which are fun to see. read more

Went into Brick and Mortar a couple weeks ago to see the new store in downtown Leesburg. After walking in and finding my way into the back, I noticed very polarizing political items. I don't identify with a certain political party and my views are very moderate and understanding of both sides. But, I found the political items, only anti-Republican, very dissatisfying. On a business perspective, I don't understand why a business would alienate arguably half of potential customers. According to the Loudoun Times-Mirror, Brick and Mortar is a part of "West Federal Retail, the parent company of Lou Lou Boutiques, Crème de la Crème and Zest," owned by Ben and Tara Wegdam. Pretty disappointing to see and I won't be going back to this store or any of the West Federal Retail companies, definitely won't be recommending these stores to anyone. read more

Very disappointed with this store and what I assume is the owner, Charlie. We came on Leesburg's First Friday, when you would expect that shops would want to put their best foot forward. Instead, as my wife and daughter and I went in, finding some merchandise that we were interested in purchasing, Charlie runs over and yells (not even exaggerating), YELLS at my wife to "back it up! Back that baby up!!" He then proceeds to insert himself between my wife and I and pulls another potential customer over, shows her an item, and rudely walks away. Wow. A simple, "excuse me, I would like to show a customer an item" would suffice. Felt very anti-family. Definitely not what Leesburg embodies. We certainly won't be back and I would encourage others not to waste their time. read more

I LOVE this store. It holds so many brands with such great missions and philanthropic purposes, such as Ethic Goods- who employs women who have been rescued from human trafficking! And that is just one of many. There is something to giggle or laugh at, at every turn! Although I don't agree with every stance or value that is represented, I can absolutely appreciate the artistry behind the product. The owners of this store are the kindest and most down-to-earth people you will ever meet, and I love supporting them! On another note, I support people's differing opinions and values-we all have them, but degrading a business because you don't agree with something, is downright rude and uncalled for. A very eclectic store with a wide variety of items. They actually lean more towards the masculine side, so if you need a gift on that side of the spectrum, this is your spot. We were out for dinner and happened to grab a t-shirt for me and a Dutch bracelet for the hubs. They also carry Stetsons, gorgeous handmade leather items and just the coolest bow ties made of feathers. I didn't mind the few political items. Heck, someone is always trying to give me a side of religion with my chicken sandwich, so turn about is fair play in my book. read more

Absolutely adore this store. I stumbled upon it this past weekend and what a delightful find. Wide variety of items ranging from small and quirky to large and heartfelt. Has a lot of brands I've bought from before but all in one place now! Recommended it to my dad when he was frantically looking for an anniversary card and he loved it to so when a female millennial and a male baby boomer love the same place you know it has range.
