basically heaven for antique lovers like me! i spent a couple hours sorting through everything inside and outside the building the first time i was there - bought so many cute things. though, i would space out visits to ensure a variation of goods. prepare to spend lots of money! many items were on the pricier side for antiques from what i have seen. also note that there is an equal balance from mass-produced goods to actual antiques. i enjoyed it, but just keep that in mind if you're going to look for something specific. read more

This was SO worth the hour drive, oh man! Lucketts is thee place to find hidden antique treasures that you will love forever! It feels like you're whisked away to a magical little realm in this town and store and it's fantastic. Vintage cameras, typewriters, prints, book stacks, hand pressed rings and soap holders; super cool chandeliers, knick knacks, every shape and color of glass vases, jugs and vials. Flannels, blankets, vintage clothing and hats, there's literally a junkyard of every vintage and cool thing you could look for, but it's all high quality and taken care of. Lucketts is the absolute real deal. We spent a good 2 hours delicately walking through the 3 floors and endless rooms chopped full of gold. I am in love with this place. If you have any sort of interest in antiques you need to visit Lucketts, and it's in a really neat area anyways with wine country just on the brim and a whole several mile stretch of farmers market after farmers market, this is the perfect day trip getaway! read more

For the past decade-ish, Lucketts store has been a "country" retreat for my friends and I. We would make big plans, take potty breaks, and drive down all the way Route 7 to live out our Shabby Chic with Rachel Ashwell dreams. Their big design houses are always on our calendar and we've incorporated some of their amazing vintage decor into conversation pieces in our homes. There really is not anything like this spot here in the area! I recently took my daughter and husband here to visit their winter wonderland displays during the holiday season and they both were immediately smitten as soon as we stepped in the parking lot. My husband came begrudgingly but as soon as he got a bite of a hot cinnamon sugar pastry from Carpe Doughnuts he gladly trudged around for two hours as I frocklicked around the grounds! We did not even have time to purchase tickets for the Christmas design house (limited entry with COVID) but between the donuts, hot cocoa bar, and beautiful displays we were all in awe of the beautiful decor. We left with our elevated blood sugar levels and a heart full of inspired beauty! I definitely recommend here for some socially distanced, Instagram fun! read more

Nice little antiques store right off of the road in Lucketts. A LOT too look at though, almost overwhelming to be honest. The best time to go is when they have a sale and additional vendors are there. You always find a better deal from them because in most cases, they don't have to pack up and take it home with them. There are lots of cute things to look at to get ideas for decor in here. I have found that items are mostly mass produced and not unique. Also the staff doesn't seem to be very honest. I bought an item got home with it and discovered that the price tag pealed off paint. The cashier must have done this since it was not that way prior to them handing it. I only realized when I got home. I called back and they were willing to return the damaged item. However I had to go all the way back to the store and felt that the cashier should have been honest and up front that she accidentally damaged the item and see what I wanted to do. Instead they waisted my time by concealing the damage and then I returned anyhow. I was also looking for a dining table. But based off the insistent above I searched online and was glad I did. I found the exact same table they were selling on Wayfair for $600 less! I would not recommend purchasing items here. read more

I always wanted to stop in to this antique shop on my way to the airport. This time I had enough time to stop in and see what it was all about. They had a lot of stuff outside but it was raining so I couldn't really spend time out there, I had to head inside. It's really pretty and they have a lot of really nice things but it's really more of an upscale high end antique store then an antique store in my opinion. Each room is staged by a different vendor which is really cool but all of their things were so over priced compared to the other antique shops that I shop at so it was disappointing for me. But the shop is beautiful and they have a lot of items, new and older things. read more

A fun favorite all times of the year - only dinging a star since I don't think there are an abundance of "steals" but if you want a feast for the eyes and inspiration, it's the place to go year round. We got tickets to the holiday house this year and as adorable and fun as it was- I'm not sure we'd spend $$ buying them again. Definitely worth it though if you're looking for fun ornaments / beautiful ribbon/ and luxury Christmas & interior based holiday goods. I REALLY appreciated the inclusion of 2 cocktails with your ticket which makes up for the price, they had spiked cider and a glass of cava included with your ticket. They also had a lovely fire pitt area and great photo op set ups !! We love it all and enjoy going at least once a year ! read more

I really enjoy coming to Luckett's for interior decorating inspiration! It's a great place to window shop and get ideas even if you don't walk away with anything. I would recommend visiting during Design House weekends. This occurs one weekend a month and it is separate from the general Luckett's store. They showcase various designers and each room in the house has a different theme, vision, and design. It's so remarkable how items you would never think of putting together actually look great when designed well. I'm not super creative myself, but this place gets your imagination going. I've received many compliments on decorations in my house that I either bought or was inspired from Luckett's. Luckett's is pricey so I wouldn't except to walk away with a bunch of steals. Employees are not consistently friendly either, which is why I'm knocking it down a star. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for decorating inspo! read more

We visited Old Lucketts for their Holiday open house. It was quite a fun event, even if you are just window shopping. They have a huge are outside where kids can run around and play with antiques, a big wooden chair, and a beer garden (just a pool filled in with sand). We had fun exploring the area and snapping a few photos. The design room is where the Christmas decorations are displayed and sold. I must say they must spend a lot of time decorating the rooms as there are at least 8-10 separate rooms all decorated in a different theme, which was quite impressive. They also offered some hot cider and cookies in the kitchen, which was a nice treat on a cold December morning. My mother in law loved their stuff and ended up buying a bunch of decorations, which yes, they were a tad on the expensive side, but she didn't mind as they are certainly not the type of stuff you would find at Target. Overall we had a fun time, and it's a fun place to just walk around and explore even if you don't end up buying anything. read more

One of my favorite places to come browse - by myself or with a friend. I love coming out to the Old Lucketts Store and making a day of it - there's a lot of other shops/markets to stop, tons of wineries & breweries nearby, and places to grab a bite to eat. They have unique stuff at great prices here! Things come & go pretty quickly so it's always changing. I also love their design house (especially for the holidays) and enjoy going through their entire space. I almost always walk away with at least 1 thing, but it's still fun to just browse and see some decorative eye candy! read more

This place is huge! Three levels of everything Antique you could possibly want or imagine! The building is so large because it used to be a combination of the Luckett's family home, as well as the local Post Office and General Store. As I explored the place - it reminded me of a passage from J.R.R. Tolkien's "Fellowship of the Ring," where the Gaffer is holding forth in The Ivy Bush - a small Inn on the Bywater Road: "Anyway: there was this Mr. Frodo left an orphan and stranded, as you might say, among those queer Bucklanders, being brought up anyhow in Brandy Hall. A regular warren, by all accounts. Old Master Gorbadoc never had fewer than a couple of hundred relations in the place." The Lucketts Store is a regular warren - as well - rooms, rooms, and more rooms. I bet there are secret passages in this place! :-) And outside there is tons of stuff on the porch - and in a series of small buildings next to the store. read more

No way did I think I was going to spend two hours here! It was so cool and there was a TON to see, the store just went on and on with multiple areas to look around. It's huge and has differing styles and cool things everywhere- from big furniture to the smallest little decoration. Some things are mass produced and can be found elsewhere, however id be confident the majority of what's there is unique & true antiques. They don't claim to be 100% an antique shop :) Lauren Liess (a Great Falls home designer who has AMAZING homes in her portfolio and had an HGTV show) also personally shops here sometimes. That means it's obviously the best place ever. It's about 15 minutes past the town of Leesburg, but it's so worth going to and you're guaranteed to find something you love in my opinion. As far as prices, I found them reasonable and downright cheap sometimes for such special items. Check it out!! read more

I've lived in Loudoun for over 10 years and have passed this place so many times thinking "I really need to plan a trip there!" Today was the day and boy was I so happy to have made the time to check them out. It was their design house weekend, which only happens one weekend a month, and I got so many great ideas going through each room. I wanted to buy many items, but the budget and wish list kept me to the one item I set out looking for - which was an item to go over my sofa (picture coming later). There are items to satisfy every taste (farmhouse, nautical, hippie, schoolhouse, whimsical and more). The main house had so many fun items & furniture and even hosts workshops for things like "painting kitchen cabinets, painting furniture, and hanging items on your wall". The staff was so helpful & pleasant! I approached several with questions and told each that it was my first time there and they each took time to explain how to best navigate the different venues and what to do if I wanted to make a purchase. Not a sales pitch, more of a let me help you approach. I will be back. Such a fun afternoon trip out to Lucketts! read more

meh. I used to love it, but now I don't. I never left emty-handed on my almost twice-monthly visits there for over 2 years, but the last 4 count them, 4 times I visited, I could barely force myself to walk through the entire building. Some of the booths look like there is zero turn-over, so you feel like you are looking at the same items over and over, nothing new or interesting. Tons of "new - not vintage or antique" items in several booths and a few booths that are little more than yard sale cast offs. I frequent the Leesburg area Antique stores and I almost never enter a store where I don't hear another patron telling me how good Lucketts USED to be and how far downhill it has gone. I hate to say that I agree. Some booths have just a handful of items. What is the point of a neat old antique store that isn't stuffed to the gill with treasures? And also, how hard would it be to offer INDOOR bathrooms? How gross is a porta potty outside the entrance? read more

This is junk store heaven, but (for the most part these days) with antique store prices. Not much in the way of antiques, but some nifty collectibles, kitschy items, and great outdoor stuff. I've been shopping here for about nine years. I hate to say it, but the quality has really gone downhill. I can't get past the fact that there are outdoor booths with upholstered furniture in them. How dirty do you think they must be? On the plus side, the Groundhog Day sale is fabulous!! So is the Spring and Autumn antiques fair. Prices are unbelievably low during these sales. Front desk staff can be snarky so just be prepared to bark back. There will be no one around to help you or offer info about what might be in any of the booths, so be prepared to wander aimlessly on your own if you're looking for something in particular. If you're just browsing, that's a plus. When I first started shopping here it was a different experience. Attendants were polite, there were people to help you, and they helped you load into your car very quickly. Now - not so much! Also, some of the better quality dealers have moved out into their shops. Go in to browse now and then, just don't go expecting antiques and try to go during one of their sales. Example: I bought a beautiful, large harvest table (seats eight very comfortably) for $400. read more

Got my chance yesterday and glad I can finally say I've been to the legendary purveyor of vintage and vintage-looking home decor, furniture, clothing, and accessories. The Old Lucketts Store is a shabby-chic/vintage rustic flair person's dream. Whether you're looking for old tea sets, owl motif home accessories, 1930s French posters, distressed dressers, pocket watches, old handkerchiefs, or 1960s dresses, you'll be a happy camper here. The owners of The Lucketts Store are very good about keeping current with all the latest trends in rustic/vintage home decor so they constantly find new products like Amy Howard's One Step Paint to help customers achieve the latest looks. They also offer classes to show shoppers how to use their products and do things like paint or refinish furniture. I beg to differ from other reviewers who have said that The Old Lucketts Store is pricey. It really depends. They have good sales on numerous items. Additionally, I thought the vintage dressers, in unique hues, like orange and cream, were really affordable ($250-$300). They also sell clothing, shoes, and home accessories. Check out the vintage clothing section on the third floor. I found a gorgeous, mustard Italian-made belt for $29. On the first level, darling real-leather cowboy boots in different colors were being sold for $40! Who needs brand-new Fryes? Tip: Definitely come when they host their monthly flea market. The sheer variety that you'll find is so worthwhile. I saw a bunch of old doors, some with shutters, in gorgeous colors for $40. These would make awesome organizers, say to hang your jewelry. Many items would work very nicely as accessories for vintage and/or rustic weddings. Old trunks that could double as storage and a coffee table. Charming garden chairs. I drove by this shop for years and finally went in. I've been a loyal customer for the last 6 years. Definitely not a stuffy antiques store! What I love most is they have a little of everything - which is what I like. Different styles and different time periods. They have a mix of new, vintage, & antique. For example, you can find cheapola windows with no panes for $5, or the real deal with leaded glass for a restoration project. There's a lot to look at. The only drawback is stuff goes fast, so if you think it may be there later, chances are it's gone, which has happened to me more than once. Lots of design ideas, and the Design House is like walking into a magazine (only there are drinks and food). Prices run the gamut. Some of the reclaimed wood pieces seem pricey, but if you factor in the refinishing & rebuilding costs, I can see it. You'll see pieces over $1000 sitting next to a dresser with handcarving for $250 - so there's quite a variety. I've gotten a great piece of iron gate for less than $200, vintage sheet music for my crafting for $1, a tall French dresser for $198, and an atlas from the 1930's with over 80 great full size maps in it for $10 - the lowest price on Ebay was no less than $75.....I guess my point is that there are bargains to be had and it's a fun place to look around for decorating ideas and to shop for various styles. read more

I went this weekend to check out what all the fuss was about. The place was hopping w/a full parking lot. It does have an air of a tourist attraction. The best part, by far, was the Design House, which changes monthly. It was lovely, fun and eclectic. It appeared that most of the items at Lucketts are reproductions, but that allows them to be more affordable and they are still nicely done. I was disappointed they didn't have more actual antiques. If you love old lead glass and stained glass windows, there is a nice antique selection of those. They also had fun industrial/modern chandeliers/lights which were great and about 1/5 the cost of my Oly. If you are looking for fun, quirky reproductions w/a few original antiques thrown in, this place is great. If you love truly old stuff, you would do better somewhere else. One serious negative: Lack of reasonable 'facilities'. I don't understand why they don't have an indoor bathroom considering their clientele are driving from all over to come visit as well as the fact that they serve cold drinks and food on the property. I really like this place. I'm a member of two wineries in the area and stop in to The Old Lucketts Store each time I go to the wineries. It is a mix of new merchandise and antiques. When you go, plan on spending at least an hour so that you have time to go through all the rooms and the outside sections. I have purchased several gifts from Old Lucketts and they have always brought smiles to the faces of the recipients. I also have a small side table that I bought about two years ago.
