    Copious amounts of whipped cream
    Heather F.

This place is so rad! It totally took over my old coffee stop and is my new jam. The staff is always dope, even when they're super slammed. I'm such a diva, and they don't even blink an eye when I ask for "copious amounts of whipped cream!" The shop has a groovy high-top table and uber room to guzzle or nurse your caffeinated creation. Body positivity, LGBTQ+ forward, great service, and Golden Girls all day..!

I was randomly looking for the coffee in Mesa and I found this amazing coffee shop that you need to come and visit if you're in town. The shop is very inviting, open space which makes you feel relaxed. They have both indoor and outdoor spaces offering. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. I order brownies and hot cappuccino -- my fav combination! I walked around and I saw the gallery on the walls from the local artist which offers you a good price if you're interested and want to their workshop. Come and try it out yourself! You will love it. For me, I will come back again soon.

Mini Cardamom Coffee Cakes (GF) Cinnamon Roll Latte

Amazing coffee shop with so much character. I really appreciate the artistic vibe, the cinnamon roll late was so good, and the staff was so welcoming and kind! The cardamom coffee cake was the perfect treat and quite unique!

Overall great experience! The coffee was my favorite part- I got a house flavored latte, with vanilla, dates, and cardamom. It was so good! The ambiance was generally good- slow music that was perfect for studying except for a few songs here and there and seating was fine. I like that there is a separate room so you don't have to be by the bustle of customers ordering. The cashier was kind but very stoic in demeanor so it was hard to feel super great about that. It's overall a hit for me. I'd suggest it!

Flying Monkey & Lucky Dream Matcha

What a lovely coffee shop! I love how inclusive and welcoming the space feels. It's clearly LGBTQ+ friendly, which I really appreciate. The seating is super comfy, and I love that there are plenty of outlets available. The drinks were pretty good! The Flying Monkey was definitely better than the Dream Lucky Matcha. We paid $14 for those two drinks. I'd definitely recommend their coffees overall. Parking was plentiful, and they accept cards. Will definitely be back.

Love this place!! First time here and absolutely will be back. Met up with friends to do some professional yapping over some snacks and lattes. Gluten free coffee cake was AMAZE, as was the iced matcha (dairy free options yay). Vibes are peak, staff is so kind and helpful with drink options. Took a little time to work on my laptop after my friends left too. Great space. Awesome stickers and shirts as well as mugs and coffee beans are also available. And lastly, the restroom signs are awesome.

Love the newly renovated spot! Gabe and Jesse, the owners of Brick Road in Tempe, have done a great job with Empower. The space is open and welcoming and the desert mural is gorgeous. They stream Golden Girls episodes, just like at Brick Road, and also have a free lending library. It's a safe space for queer folk and I love the rainbow flags! I got a cheese danish and a lavender matcha. Both were delicious. I'll definitely come back again and again!

I decided to try Empower Coffee Roasters on my way to a meeting and had a wonderful experience! The atmosphere is laid back and inviting. The friendly barista behind the counter greeted me right away. I ordered an iced oat milk latte with cinnamon powder. I inquired about the pastries in their case, which were all vegan. The barista raved about the banana chocolate chip bread so I had to get one, too. The latte was smooth and the banana chocolate chip bread was moist and delicious. Great suggestion. I believe it was also gluten-free. During my visit, I learned that Empower Coffee Roasters has a great story and mission. It is a women-owned business that supports women by sourcing from women-run farms, ensuring fair compensation, and investing in local women-led organizations. I look forward to supporting this great coffee shop when I'm back in the area!

Absolutely love this coffee shop! The coffee is amazing and they have such a variety that there's always something new to try. This location has plenty of seating, outlets for when you need to work/study, and feels so inclusive and safe inside. You can just feel the good energy from this place, same as with their sister location Brick Road. I love the local artists work on the wall, the friendly staff, the book shelf of games, coloring books and activities, and overall just love that we have another LGBTQ+ friendly spot in the east valley

Such a cute place! I believe it's sisters to Brick Road which we already love. I love how inclusive it is. Big and safe feel space. Of course they're playing Golden Girls on a projector. Now their coffee.... Delicious. My husband got the Ethiopian Sunrise Cold Brew. He has the barista if anyone puts anything else in it and she told us that sometimes she'll put coconut milk in it and it's sooooo good. The flavors all blend well together. You get those taste of the orange and cardamom with some of the tang of the coconut. I had their cloud nine which is lavender, caramel and it's suppose to be a blueberry cold foam. Unfortunately their blender broke so the barista offered to but the blueberry in it still and my lanta it's so good. I wasn't expecting I guess all those flavors to mix well but it's so perfect. Surprisingly it's not overly sweet and I always want to find a good lavender drink. There so much more I wanna come back here and try especially since they have house made syrups. Can't wait

That said, I don't think Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal are involved with this adorable coffee shop. I digress! I recently ordered the Bourbon Peach Latte with oat milk ($6.50 + $0.75 for oat milk), Blueberry Pie Latte ($6.50), and a Breakfast Sammy with ham ($8). The Bourbon Peach Latte is a seasonal summer drink. It features caramelized sugar, simmered bourbon and heavy cream, real peaches, vanilla bean paste, and a touch of salt. You also get a cute peach gummy ring on the side. The Blueberry Pie Latte is another seasonal summer drink. It includes espresso, blueberry pie syrup, and milk, topped with cream cheese cold foam and a cinnamon graham cracker crumble. Honestly one of the best variations of a blueberry drink I've had at a coffee shop. My favorite blueberry-anything at any coffee shop actually. As for their Breakfast Sammy, it had garlic aioli, egg, ham, avocado, cheddar cheese, and Everything Bagel seasoning. You can definitely taste the garlic in this sandwich. It was a great way to start my Saturday after spin class. I totally ate back my calories but no regrets. If I were Benson Boone, I'd say that Mythical Coffee was mystical, magical. I've gone for just coffee and I've gone to actually work and drink coffee, and their split level plan gives customers a fair amount of options for seating, not to mention they also have outdoor seat in available (no thanks in the Summer)! While I've of course had some coffees here that I like better than others I've ordered, I've never had a single coffee here that wasn't truly enjoyable. On my recent visit I decided to order a normal latte, but to switch it up with macadamia milk instead of whole milk, which was suggested by the barista. This was a great recommendation that added a unique flavor to the drink and I honestly think I liked it even better than the normal latte I get! You have to stop in if you've never been. The service is wonderful. Employees are very nice and take time to answer questions no matter how long the line is. When it comes to coffee I'm pretty simple. I like cold brew with cold foam. Their cold brew is extremely bitter and their cold foam is very limited and appears to rotate on the season. They didn't have just a plain vanilla cold foam so I asked how salty the salted vanilla was and was told not salty at all. That couldn't have been further from the truth. It was so unbelievably salty that it made the drink almost undrinkable.

Everyone was obsessed with this one, we also added pistachio cold foam on top. For the Moroccan we asked for it to be half sweet and it was still pretty sweet so be aware that this one is for the sweet tooth. The pistachio latte was delicious as well. The lemon poppy seed matcha was really good as a matcha, meaning the matcha was delcious and easy to ddrink. Not a lot of lemon flavor in it tho but the quality was good so no complaints. Their pastry selection is lacking however, this might be because we came a little later in the day but there was not a lot of options. The lemon scone was delicous but the raspberry key lime cupcake was far too sweet. However, this was an awesome shop and I would highly recommend it.
